Feb 02,2025Having had previous deliveries from this company, we were a little disappointed. Firstly we ordered the same size pellets as previous orders, however these one's were half the size and a completely different colour. Secondly, they arrived on two pallets. We unpacked the first pallet without issue but halfway through unloading the second pallet we came across one after another of completely split open plastic packets, the pellets were everywhere, on top of the plastic lined pallet and all over the ground, having spilt when being lifted out. A total of 7 packets were split. We have seen this in the past. It is caused by a careless forklift truck driver that inserts the two lifting prongs into the pallet at the wrong height and instead, spears whatever goods are on the pallet. Anyway, we cleared the mess up and then I called the company to let them know. After several attempts I finally got through to someone (I believe that the company is in South Africa), who instructed me to sweep all of the pellets up, place the split packets with the pellets and take photographic evidence. They would then send the picture to accounts who would assess the damage and consider some form of compensation - what a palaver! We had already cleared up the mess and so were not about to re-enact the scene with the remaining good pellets and un-split packets. Anyway, in future we will most likely use a UK based company.

The ash burns hot and beautifully. The delivery was hassle free and was kept informed every step of the way along with a very polite driver.
