Nov 01,2022I must admit I was tempted after getting a quote for new hearing aids (Phonak Paradise) from a major high street retailer. They were offering a £500 discounted price which I later learnt is because they were trying to reduce their Paradise stock before the Phonak Lumity launch. Hours were spent searching the web for deals on the Lumity range and the best price I came across (another £400 cheaper than the high street discounted offer) was with Wholesale Hearing. My instant gut reaction was that this is still a lot of money and this is buying online and so I did my research. Wholesale Hearing has great reviews on things like Trust pilot but I wanted more reassurance. The Companies House report states that Wholesale Hearing was set up by three audiologists a number of years ago. Google street view shows the expected type of commercial building in place when checking out the address, and lastly I made contact by email and all the replies I received were professional and knowledgeable. I asked about things like aftercare and yes, five years manufacturer warranty supported through Wholesale Hearing as well as remote support on an as-and-when basis. So, I took the plunge and ordered my pair of Phonak Lumity Audeo L90RL Life hearing aids on the Monday morning. I sent off my audiogram results (that I obtained via a free hearing test on the high street) and answered an online medical questionnaire. By mid-afternoon on the Tuesday, DHL were knocking on my door (Scotland to South Wales) with my brand new, programmed, hearing aids as well as my now much loved Phonak TV Connector which was free in the deal at the time. After a couple of weeks I noticed there were a couple of tweaks I wanted with the volume for the TV and Bluetooth streaming so I dropped Wholesale Hearing an email asking for a remote session and the reply was pretty much "Are you available now?". The remote session was very easy to set up and the whole experience was less than ten minutes of chatting via video call in the Phonak app whilst the audiologist 'tweaked' my hearing aids. All very professional. Would I recommend Wholesale Hearing to others? Yes, definitely. Did I save much in comparison to the major high street retailer? Yes, over £1,000 cheaper (inc. the free TV Connector) and a newer model! I don't know how any online only company can dispel the worries customers will naturally have about expensive purchases but if you are in doubt, do what I did and do your research and talk to them, they don't bite.

Oct 24,2022You didn’t deliver even though I paid extra for next day. This was an emergency and delivery completely let you down. Good product good price but by the time it was delivered our panic was over. In fairness this company did everything they could to put things right; I received a number of calls with both apologies and plans to rectify the situation. I will be more attentive to the details of what next day deliveries mean (non working days etc) and given their efforts I will definitely give wholesale hearing another chance.

Most of the reviews spoke highly of Ross therefore I must confess I felt a little disappointed when Martin answered the phone (Sorry Martin) but speaking with Martin who was not only a cracking guy but extremely knowledgably and totally, totally reassured me about purchasing from Wholesale Hearing without any problem whatsoever.
