Sep 13,2024I booked to PORTO with collection after 8pm. This increased the price by £40. Fair enough as after hours collection. BUT then they wanted an additional £38 fee payable upon collection because it was after 8pm. In other words, you pay TWICE for the SAME thing. TEXT BOOK EXAMPLE OF SHAMEFUL HIDDEN FEES. If you book BEFORE 8pm the price is £40 cheaper AND they warn you of a £38 fee that you will need to pay if you arrive after 8pm. SHAMEFUL to say the least.

Sep 12,2024We have used Zest 4 times now - wouldnt go anywhere else. Competitive prices but their real asset are their staff. Such helpful staff on the phone when our flights were changed then a flight cancelled 30mins before take off....car hire was immediately sorted. When we inadvertently drove into the wrong car park on return it was a smiley Masterkings employee who said, never mind and took our ticket, so we didn't pay.

Sep 12,2024Overall the service was great, the point of note is they offer extra insurance which really does cover all the excess and more importantly the damage level included is far and above any other company we found in Portugal. Check the insurances as not all are the same. Friendly easy pick up from the airport.

Sep 12,2024Zest took all the stress out of hiring a car. They vet all the car hire providers, and they deal with insurance, so the usual worry about dealing with cowboys who claim you've scratched the car or try to sell you additional insurance disappeared. It was really easy to get hold of them on the phone, they were polite, well spoken and prompt and answered all queries with confidence. I would use them again without hesitation.

Sep 12,2024The service that I received from Zest is definitely the best I have ever had from a car rental broker. There was no hidden charges and because I paid for their top up insurance, everything was covered on the vehicle so I did not have to worry about extra charges at the rental desk in Madeira Airport. The car was collected from Rodavante's office in the airport where the lady was very friendly and helpful. We were sent down into the hire vehicle car park where I checked the car over with a friendly handover guy and a week later, dropped it off at the same location where a lovely lady checked the vehicle over, all was good and off we went. The only slight negative was the Citroen C3 had a bit of a dent in the boot lid and some scuff's and scratches here and there but I suppose that can be expected on a hire vehicle. 5 Stars for all round customer service though.

Sep 12,2024I have been using Zest for over 10 years to hire cars in various countries and in that time I have not had any problems. I also like the extra insurance cover they offer and additional driver free. Zest has a great choice of cars at a reasonable prices.

Sep 15,2024Do not use GREEN MOTION through zest. They have charged for an extra days rental, claiming the car was returned over an hour late when it was returned at least 45 minutes early!! Nearly a month on Zest have been unable to settle complaint and it’s ongoing. Went with Green Motion as reviews were good but will not use them again. Still £45 out of pocket!!!
