Jul 09,2024Booking was easy on Zest website. When flight time changed the booking was amended no issue. When the flight was then delayed I emailed Zest who contacted Italy Car Rental to advise. On arrival at Italy Car Rental we were provided with relevant information and tips on our rental agreement eg take pictures/video of car before and after. When returning the car the inspection was done within 5 minutes and security deposit refunded immediately. Really good experience from start to end. Highly recommend Zest and Italy Car Rental

Also offered much cheaper ‘all inclusive’ additional hire package to cover excesses to avoid taking overpriced insurance from hire company.

Jul 08,2024I booked a car with zest as they had been recommended to me and could see they had good reviews. My flight from Stanstead to Cologne was delayed but as I had left my flight details when I booked and i had no battery on my phone to contac them, I assumed this would be picked up by zest/flex to go. I got to Cologne aiport about 11.30 pm and the flex to go desk (who run and let the fleet of cars for zest) was closed. I went back the next day and was told my booking, which I'd already paid the full price of 240 quid for, had been cancelled. I was told Zest had not passed on flight details to flex to go. I then had to pay another 211 euros for a new car and was told they had reduced the price for this like I was supposed to be grateful. I had little option but to accept this. Since my holiday has ended I have spent weeks trying to get a refund for my cancelled car. Despite it being strongly suggested this would happen, it never has. My opinion of zest and flex to go is very low. I paid for a car I never used, zest could refund me and take it up with flex to go, but they are choosing not to do this. Very poor customer service all round considering how highly rated zest are supposed to be. Be careful.

Jul 08,2024Had used Zest in the past but not needed a rental car for a few years. As before very easy to use online booking system. On arrival at Alicante desk very easy to find and very quick service booking in and collecting keys. Car was brand new 12 km on the clock so clean and no knocks or scratches, very easy to find in car park. Great little car Easy to drop off and fuel money refunded quick as was deposit released same day.

Jul 08,2024Zest made it easy for us to book our holiday hire car without the concerns of additional costs at the desk. The online forms were simple to complete, the service was transparent and we got exactly what was described at the time of booking. They provided good value for money and the hire car company they used provided a friendly quick and simple pick up and drop off. Thankfully nothing went wrong on our trip so I can't comment on the customer service but from what i saw, it was very professional service which I would use again.

Jul 09,2024Zest are a fantastic UK based company to book hire cars abroad. They offer comprehensive insurance via their website, so you do not need to pay for the top up insurance when you are collecting the car. A couple of times we have had questions about our rentals or small issues with cars whilst abroad and we have called zest, we managed to get through quickly and talk to someone friendly and knowledgable who can reassure us. I wouldn’t book car hire abroad with anyone else!
