Jun 28,2023I found Zicasso while looking for 11-12 day itineraries for a trip to Greece. This trip was for my twin nieces 18 th birthday and high school graduation present. I quickly realized that planning a trip for 4 people ( Don’t worry, I didn’t bring their mom or dad! We wanted to have fun so along came another Aunt!) with island hopping, language/written language barriers, and wanting to do some more adventurous activities like scuba and kayaking that I was not going to able to “ wing it” like I usually do when I travel. After reading reviews of Zicasso I decided to give it a try as there was no upfront commitment. It ended up being a a great and seamless experience. I wrote up my goals for trip and was connected with two local Greek travel companies. Both were professional, made arrangements to have a brief telephone chat, and created itineraries for us with a total cost. I tweaked both of the them once and then reviewed them with my sister that was coming on the trip and we chose one that was the best fit. It’s kinda like the being in the tv show the bachelor, for travel companies, with only one rose! So we gave our rose to one company and they exceeded our expectations preparing and during the trip! I will definitely use Zicasso again for any major travel planing needs.

They personally customize each trip to meet your interests and budget. The guides in each city were so knowledgeable and friendly as they revealed the real gem and history of each city. The food, people, buildings, churches, and artwork. The highlight of my trip shopping the local markets and preparing a meal in a chef's Venitian kitchen. We talked, cooked, laughed, and ate like old friends. What a wonderful memory! Each hotel was clean and came with a beautiful breakfast each morning. The travel agency provides your itinerary at your fingertips with a traveling app equipped with directions, meeting times, places, and top-notch restaurant recommendations. They are with you at a moment's notice via WhatsApp for assistance with directions or clarification. It made it so easy to have all of the transfers prearranged and ready to go! Jun 21,2023We had a wonderful trip to Greece; Zicasso provided us with two excellent local tour companies which helped us design the trip to Crete of our dreams. It was hard to pick one of them as they were both so accommodating and flexible. We felt the prices were very reasonable for a private tour with a driver picking us up and dropping us off and taking us on our tours. We will definitely use Zicasso again. We have already recommended Zicasso to many of our friends.

Jun 18,2023Our recent trip to Greece was fabulous. We visited Ephesus in Turkey, then traveled to Rhodes, Crete, Santorini and Naxos. It was a lovely trip, a mix of resorts and boutique hotels, of beaches, exploring old towns and old ruins, visiting museums and harbors, and sailing and cooking. What made our trip so great was the agent recommended by Zicasso. He listened carefully to what my husband and I wanted to do, how we liked to travel, where we wanted to go, how much we wanted to spend, and what kind of accommodations we liked. He made suggestions and sent us a tentative plan. All of his suggestions turned out to be terrific. We liked all of the hotels he recommended and were very impressed by the local guides he hired for us. It was especially rewarding to see the sites and explore the ruins with knowledgeable guides who were so personable, entertaining and thoughtful. This is one of the benefits of working with someone who knows who to recommend. One thing we liked especially about working with the agent was his thoughtful attention to our comfort and safety. He made arrangements with local travel agents at each of the islands we visited to pick us up at our hotels for our various excursions and to make sure we got safely and comfortably back afterwards. He also made arrangements with a local travel agency to be "on call" for us if we needed assistance. We never needed additional help (no doubt because he planned things so well), but knowing we had someone nearby who we could call if we needed to was very reassuring. He also kept in contact with us through What's Ap so that we could get his help if needed. We also appreciated the agent's extra efforts on our behalf. For example, he personally checked us in for our ferry rides from one island to the next and sent the necessary documents to us on What's Ap. All we had to do was show the check-in person the necessary document on our phone. He also sent us a list of recommended restaurants for our stays on each of the islands. One of the most memorable parts was our visit to Ephesus, arguably the best of all the Roman ruins. It is an amazing place, the main road covered in marble, many of the old buildings as well. We had a very entertaining guide who shared lots of interesting stories about the gods, the way people lived, and the history of the site. Another especially terrific part of the trip was sailing down the coast of Crete to Balos Beach. There were only four of us on the boat, so we had a chance to get to know the captain, a young man just home from college, and his girlfriend while we sailed. The captain's grandmother fixed us lunch. The lunch was great and the beach was stunning. A third really special part of the trip was the sunset cruise we took on a catamaran around the caldera at Santorini. It was fascinating to see the effects of the volcano up close from the sea, and we especially enjoyed seeing the sunset. A fourth really special part of the trip was our visit to a farm in the middle of Naxos island for our cooking lesson. Again, we had the company of an entertaining and thoughtful guide. We cooked and ate the food we cooked and drank some very good Greek wine in an outdoor kitchen at the farm. The "cooking lesson" was taught by a wonderfully kind woman who lived on the farm with her husband. She didn't speak English, but it certainly didn't matter. She was warm and welcoming and kind and showed us what to do. The guide took us on a walk around the farm. Wonderful day!

It was customized to the needs (and we had many needs)! It was a family trip that needed to accommodate a 7 year old, an older couple in their 50s who are still young enough to want to enjoy nightlife and a mid 30s couple who wanted adventure and variety.
