Jun 11,2024I had a 9 people family trip and Villa Laura was amazing, there was enough space for everyone and was welcomed by an amazing team. Check in was simple and easy even going out at night it was very convenient when we separated at night. I can’t recommend Villa Laura any more. Well worth it and highly recommended!

May 20,2024I recently stayed at Villa Copacabana with a group of friends, and it was an unforgettable experience. The villa is incredibly clean, well-equipped, and spacious, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect, near the beach, you can see the sea from the villa, made it the perfect getaway spot. The management team was outstanding—always helpful and readily available to assist with any inquiries or needs we had. The highlight of our stay was definitely the jacuzzi and the heated pool, which added an extra layer of enjoyment to our vacation. I highly recommend Villa Copacabana for anyone looking for a top-notch holiday experience. Thank you Algarve Vacation 😘😘

May 16,2024The place (Carvoeiro) did suit our family (three couples of adults) quite well. Naar to the beautiful Algarve branches and also naar to the mountains of Silves, Alferce and Monchique where we made some tours on our rented bikes. The house was a big plus since it was private, spacious and well equipped. Three bedrooms with each separate bathroom did add value to our staking. Even in April we already could enjoy the swimming pool. So 5 *.

May 04,2024I’ll start with the positives. The house is in a convenient, quiet location (it might be more hectic in the high season, but in April, it’s tranquil). The management company provided some groceries — milk, bread, butter, juice, ham, cheese, etc., which was a pleasant surprise. The house was clean, although showing quite a bit of wear and tear. Unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives. When we arrived a few minutes past check-in time, we were startled by the pool maintenance person working in the backyard. We had paid the extortionate hot tub heating fee (€29/day), and I was dismayed to find the hot tub water green and cloudy, which is caused by algae (we have a hot tub at both of our homes and I know how easy it is for the chemicals to get out of balance and the water to turn green). The manager said that’s just the way it looks and “no one has ever complained,” but agreed to have it drained and refilled. The pool guy was there for almost 3 hours dealing with the dirty tub. We couldn’t use it the first night because it was cold. The coffee maker was broken, and the manager kindly agreed to have a new one dropped off. We asked that he ring the bell when he arrived because our dogs were with us. Instead, he let himself in, left the gate open, and one of our dogs ran off down the street. This was the start of a continuous stream of unannounced entries by various workers. I asked multiple times for a simple text ahead of time or for the crew to ring the bell at the gate, and the response was "I've passed your request to the team." But people kept showing up and letting themselves in. I asked again; the answer was no. It was completely appalling and it left us concerned about our own privacy and our dogs’ safety. Not a relaxing way to spend a holiday. There were plenty of other minor annoyances as well. The check-in instructions say to call one hour prior to our arrival at the property to get the code for the lockbox. When we did that, the person told us to call in an hour, at check-in time. I explained that we were driving from our home and we were one hour away, but it didn’t matter. We were also required to have a “welcome meeting,” which could have been accomplished with a guest handbook at the house. The linens on the beds are cheap, scratchy, and rough. The mattress topper is bigger than the mattress, and when the ill-fitting sheet came loose, the topper was exposed with stains on it. Ick. One of the couches in the living room is extremely uncomfortable. There is no salt, pepper, oil, or paper towels, and only one trash bag for 10 days. The only cutting board is barely larger than a mobile phone. The skillets were warped, making it difficult to cook on the induction stove. This was our first and last time renting from this company. Edit 30 September 2024: when I wrote this review several months ago, AlgarveVacation contacted me and offered a token amount of money in exchange for me removing this review. They also replied to me by name on this review. Today I received an email from Trust Pilot saying that the company needs more information to verify that this review is real — when they clearly know it’s real. Instead of attempting to remove factual, real reviews, this company should treat its paying customers better and not disturb their holidays. I gave them 2 stars when I wrote the review but this latest unethical stunt led me to reduce it to one star.

We were travelling with my elderly parents and had specific requirements and they sent me a list of villas that would suit these requirements and were very helpful with the booking.

Apr 22,2024Villa Dominica was a clean, very comfortable, extremely well equipped villa and as described. The outside “conservatory” with its own kitchen was perfect for an April vacation and so too was the heated pool. However, Algarve vacations need to get their act together when it comes to checking guests in. Their incompetence made an extremely stressful start to our recent holiday with our Autistic son in tow, and we’re no novices to staying in villas on The Algarve, we’ve been doing it for 17 years. We called ahead as advised so someone could be there to greet us but were just given a keybox number, which is fine, we’ve done that before. When we arrived it was going dark and we couldn’t locate villa Dominica as there were no villas with that name plate outside. We called and were directed to a villa with no name that had 3 separate points of entry and were told to go through an unlocked gate and the keybox was inside a gas cupboard by the front door. All gates were locked so we were then given the main gate PIN number and were then guided to the keybox having to use our phone torches as no outside lights had been left on for us. If our point of contact hadn’t been available to help I don’t know what we’d have done! But if they’d been there to greet us there wouldn’t have been an issue. We’ll definitely be steering clear of this tour operator!

Apr 21,2024We rented the apartment for 28 days and we were really satisfied. The place is ultra modern, very well appointed and well located. The balcony gives on a beautiful pedestrian walkway and the beach, no car traffic. Great service, weekly cleaning and located next to several great little restaurants. The bakery across the street is well worth it. The staff is very knowledgeable about the region. The company offers excursions that are well worth it. We took a private tour to Seville with Vasco, it was amazing. Olivia manages a good crew. We would not hesitate to return.

Apr 21,2024Nous avons passé 1semaine à la villa Balli à Albufeira du 13/04/2024. Très bon séjour, la villa est conforme aux descriptions, propre et agréable. Jacuzzi super! (Option indispensable!) Dommage que la mise en chauffe de la piscine ait pris 3 jours, mais sinon c’était parfait. Nous avons vraiment apprécié le calme du lieu. Encore merci à Martin pour sa visite lors de notre arrivée et ses bons conseils sur les choses à faire dans la région. La visite des grottes a Portimao qu’il nous a proposé était au top! (Je conseille: visite bateau privé avec guide en Français). Excellente expérience pour une première fois au Portugal. Bravo à l’agence très professionnelle. PS: voiture de location fortement conseillé. Lionel et sa famille.

Feb 26,2024I had an amazing time at a vacation apartment in Portimao boked with Olivia from Algarve Vacation. Everything, from booking and afterwards, was great. The booking was easy, and they always answered my questions. The apartment was better than the pictureS, comfy and clean. The local team were also great, making sure I had a great time. I’d give every part of the experience 5 stars. I really suggest this apartment for a vacation in Portimão. It has great service, a nice place to stay, and it’s easy to do everything. I’ll go back and tell my friends and family about it.
