Dec 10,2023The staff were incredible - easy to reach, happy to help, and the communication and organisation was brilliant from the moment we booked right through until the trip was over. It made the trip so enjoyable knowing that the team were there to help and take care of us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and I will definitely book again in future.

Dec 07,2023In November 2023, we reserved Villa Charlotte in Amarcao de Pera, Algarve, for a group of 22. Our experience was marred by numerous issues, both before and during our stay. Upon arrival, we were dismayed to find that 60% of the villa's view was obstructed by a large, active construction site, with an additional unsightly building facade under construction nearby. Despite assurances from the agent at check-in that they would contact us within 24 hours to address our concerns, we received no follow-up. This lack of communication was a recurring theme, with multiple unfulfilled promises to return our calls. The villa itself presented several problems: - The beach towels provided had an unbearable odor. - We discovered a leak in one of the bathrooms, which we had to fix ourselves. - There was an issue with the electricity going out for 30 min. The pre-arrival process was equally frustrating. We were required to submit digital documents online without any assurance of data security or a clear explanation for this requirement. Despite already providing our full names and ages in the digital documents, we were asked to fill out and print a form with the same information for check-in. We chose not to comply, only to be asked to fill out the same form again by the agent at check-in. Additionally, we were unexpectedly charged transaction fees, which we believed should have been included in the booking fee. The villa featured two jacuzzis of different sizes. At check-in, the agent suggested we could switch between them to accommodate our large group, but this was not facilitated upon request. It was evident that the villa is managed by a company focused more on profit than guest experience, evident in their lack of flexibility and failure to offer any compensation or apologies for the numerous inconveniences we faced. Regrettably, our experience was so unsatisfactory that many of our 22 guests are considering writing additional negative reviews. While we understand that the management cannot control external construction, we believe they had a duty to inform us of these issues beforehand.

Nov 28,2023If I could give this company zero or minus 10, I would happily do so. They are dishonest and lack accountability when it comes to problems with their rentals. They have removed our honest review. They called me from Portugal to have me remove my review which I refused to do as they proved to be unflexible about the horrible conditions we had to endure during our vacation from hell. The villa was infested with ants and we could not self cater as they were ants all over our food, in our beds, on our toothbrushes, everywhere!!! They did not offer to relocate us, and they refused to refund. These people are dishonest and should not be allowed to be in the vacation rental business. I had to spend the lion’s share of my holiday arguing with these people, emailing them constantly about the unsanitary conditions we were exposed to. They refused to do anything about it except for administering chemical pesticides which individuals in our party were allergic to and offered biological alternatives 12 hours prior to our check-out. It is unbelievable that this company would actually take off all of their reviews, so is not to expose their website and future vacationers to the truth. These people are definitely untrustworthy to add insult to injury, we had to jump through hoops to be able to rent this villa. We are also hosts and both as guests and hosts, we have a five star rating. This was the most disgusting experience we have ever had. Do not rent with these people they are crooks!!!

Nov 23,2023After pre-departure e-mails with Olivia Grimes, we were expecting flexibility and service. We arrived early and sat outside the villa as told in no uncertain terms that it was not possible to enter until exactly 4pm even though the Villa was empty. The office staff were unhelpful and disinterested. The villa was at best average and some of the pictures and amenities were misrepresented in the description. On arrival, the "free" air con" only worked in the downstairs bedroom. The issues with the aircon in the lounge and the upstairs bedrooms were brought to the attention of Algarve Vacation rep who visited for a "welcome meeting" that evening. Nothing was done. The office don't care and customer service is non existent! I have kept copies of numerous Whatsapp messages continuously asking for assistance. Other disappointing highlights include:- - The fluffy towels on the beds in the pictures don't exist. Towels are old, hard and a bit grey! - Lock on the outside door upstairs is faulty - Kitchen utensils are limited - The outside grill is not fit for use as too rusty. As with other travellers they kept part of our deposit as we allegedly broke a clothes airer (we tried to use it and it was already broken) and the pool leaf catcher (never used as the pool filter was suffice) Beware, as after reading other reviews holding all/some of the deposit happens often with this company! Would not recommend them.

Nov 22,2023Villa Budha in Albufeira zag er t.o.v. de foto's verl slechter uit. Er waren ook heel wat voorzieningen (pannen, 1 keukenhanddoek, geen zwembadhanddoeken) te beperkt aanwezig. We voelden ons vooral slecht bij de reacties van Algarve Vacation. De contacten waren steeds met iemand anders, Er werd vanalles beloofd, maar dat vergaten ze .... kortom.... zij hebben ons belogen en ons goed aan het lijntje gehouden.

Escolhi uma moradia em Armação de Pêra com piscina aquecida através da Algarve Vacation, e não poderia ter ficado mais satisfeito com a minha escolha. Desde o momento em que cheguei, fui recebido calorosamente por toda a equipa da Algarve Vacation. A sua hospitalidade e profissionalismo foram impressionantes e proporcionaram-me uma sensação de segurança e bem-estar durante toda a estadia. A moradia em si era um verdadeiro paraíso. A piscina aquecida permitiu-me desfrutar de mergulhos relaxantes, o que foi incrível. Os quartos eram confortáveis e bem decorados, e a vista para o mar a partir da varanda era de tirar o fôlego. Nov 05,2023I have attended a week-long yoga retreat at a property in Salgados, Albufeira and I must say, it was nothing short of idyllic. I felt like I had been transported to a serene oasis of peace and tranquility. The villa itself was a haven of luxury and comfort. The rooms were beautifully decorated, each with its own unique charm. I was lucky enough to have a room with a view of the lush garden, and waking up to the sight of vibrant flowers and swaying palm trees was a true delight. The highlight of my stay was, of course, the daily yoga sessions. Our instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and led us through a variety of yoga styles, from Hatha to Vinyasa. Practicing yoga in the villa's garden, surrounded by the sounds of nature and the gentle rustling of leaves, was a truly magical experience. It allowed me to connect with my practice on a deeper level and find inner peace. The villa's outdoor spaces were equally enchanting. The pool area was the perfect place to cool off after a morning of yoga, and the sun loungers provided a comfortable spot to soak up the sun. Evenings were spent gathered around the outdoor dining area, enjoying delicious, healthy meals prepared by our private chef. The Mediterranean-inspired cuisine was a treat for the senses, and I couldn't get enough of the fresh flavors and locally sourced ingredients. The location of the villa was ideal for our retreat. Salgados offered a sense of seclusion and tranquility, yet we were just a short drive away from stunning beaches and charming towns to explore during our free time. The proximity to nature reserves and hiking trails allowed us to connect with the natural beauty of the Algarve. I also have to commend the organizers from Algarve Vacation for their attention to detail and exceptional hospitality. They took care of every aspect of our retreat, ensuring that our experience was seamless and enjoyable. Their commitment to creating a nurturing and rejuvenating environment was evident in every interaction. In conclusion, my yoga retreat in Salgados was an idyllic experience that exceeded all expectations. It provided the perfect opportunity to recharge, reconnect with myself, and find balance in a serene and picturesque setting. I left feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and immensely grateful for this unforgettable journey. Nov 04,2023We had an amazing time at Villa Imagine. The villa has a great heated pool, BBQ and pool table which kept us all entertained for hours. It is in walking distance to an amazing beach and promenade too. Our week flew by and we intend to return soon. Olivia and the Algarve representatives were superb. Everything just worked like clockwork. My only negative is the villa could do with a few repairs which I will report directly to Algarve Vacations

Oct 30,2023Recently stayed at Villa Murrawi. Ths booking experience was very easy and the staff very helpful. We had a lovely week there. Everything we needed. However, following our departure, we were informed that ‘damage to property’ had been reported! This surprised and upset me as we have stayed in various villas for almost 20 years, and have never damaged anything. A mug was broken, but i left cash to replace! We were informed, after many e-mails, that the lock on front door was broken?! I disputed this as we were able to enter and depart through that door with no problem. We lost €60 of our deposit for a new lock. I would advise guests to photograph and date any minor damage, however insignificant or better still, contact team to let them know, on arrival. Left us with a sour taste, unfortunately.

Oct 30,2023Wir, d.h. 4 Personen im Alter zwischen 69 und 76 Jahren hatten die Villa Natura, die für 10 Personen ausgewiesen ist, in Albufeira Sesmarias vom 28.09.23 bis 12.10.23 gemietet. Am Morgen nach der Ankunft besuchte uns Sandra von der örtlichen Agentur. Sie hatte uns auch am Tag vorher den Code für den Schlüsselkasten telefonisch mitgeteilt. Bei diesem Besuch, haben wir ihr mit geteilt, dass die die Außenbeleuchtung der Villa nicht funktioniert. Sie erklärte uns, das die Beleuchtung sich automatisch einschaltet und dass der Poolservice den Fehler beheben würde. Diese Problem wurde die ganzen 14 Tage nicht gelöst. Ferner teilte sie uns den Code für den Safe mit, einen Code, der nicht von uns geändert werden konnte. Der vorgegebene Code ist "sehr sicher", da ihn weltweit etwa 50 Millionen Menschen benutzen. Sie können sich denken, wie er lautet. Ferner machte uns Sandra darauf aufmerksam, dass wir nach 22:00 Uhr draußen leise sein müssen, wir Partymäuse im Alter von 69 bis 76 Jahren. Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass sie eigentlich nur einen Fado-Abend mit Essen verkaufen wollte, ebenso wie eine Bootstour für 245 €. Sie erklärte, beides sei nur über sie so preiswert. Ferner teilte sie uns mit, dass sie am Abreisetag um 9:00 Uhr morgens nicht da sei und dass wir den Schlüssel wieder im Schlüsselkasten deponieren sollten. So kann man eine persönliche Abnahme des Hauses verhindern. Am nächsten Morgen stellten wir fest, dass die Nespressomaschine ein Leck hatte. Ab dem 7. Oktober funktionierte die Maschine dann immer wieder gar nicht. Das haben wir Sandra am gleichen Morgen per SMS mitgeteilt. Eine Reaktion von ihrer Seite haben wir nie erhalten. Die Küche im Haus ist fast neu und mit guten Elektrogeräten ausgestattet. Es gibt sogar einen Induktionsherd. Das Problem ist aber, dass 2/3 der Töpfe und Pfannen für einen Induktionsherd nicht geeignet sind und deshalb ausfallen. Auch die übrigen Küchenutensilien sind mager. Suppenteller gibt es nicht. Hier soll anscheinend die Suppe aus dem Topf gegessen werden. Es gibt nur eine Schüssel, in der sie noch nicht einmal einen Salat für 10 Personen herstellen könnten. Wie hier überhaupt für 10 Personen gekocht und gegessen werden soll, ist mir ein Rätzel. Vielleicht ist auch beabsichtigt, dass man täglich in einem Restaurant isst. In der Gästetoilette waren keine Handtücher vorhanden. Die zwei fehlenden Handtücher wurden und nach der Abreise von der Kaution (9 €) abgezogen. Man unterstellt uns, wir hätten Sie gestohlen oder entsorgt. Am 8. Oktober lief plötzlich das Wasser in der Toiletten im Badezimmer im Erdgeschoss schlecht ab und es roch nach Fäkalien. Das haben wir sofort wieder per SMS Sandra mitgeteilt. Auch hier gab es keine Reaktion. Ich kann versichern, dass wir keinen Abfall in der Toilette entsorgt haben und dass wir nur einlagiges Toilettenpapier benutzt haben. Am nächsten Tag lief die Toilette aber wieder ab. Das Problem tauchte dann wieder in der Nacht vor unserer Abreise auf und zwar in der Form, dass aus der Dusche ein Teil der Fäkalien hochkam. Das haben wir Sandra noch am gleichen Morgen vor unserer Abreise telefonisch mitgeteilt. Nach unserer Ankunft zu Hause, wir waren noch 3 Tage in Lissabon, teilte uns Olivia Grimes von Algarve vacation mit, dass von der Kaution für den defekten Abfluss 196,80 € abgezogen werden. Ich habe Ihr dann in mehreren Mails unsere Sicht der Dinge, so wie ich sie hier geschildert habe, mitgeteilt. In den Antwort-Mails wurde auf die einzelnen Punkte gar nicht eingegangen. Es wurde uns nur mitgeteilt, dass eine Rückzahlung der gesamten Kaution nicht möglich sei , da der Schaden erst nach der Abreise festgestellt worden sei. Das ist nachweislich falsch. Ich habe Olivia einen Screenshot der verschickten SMS übersandt. Auch darauf wurde von ihrer Seite nicht eingegangen. Man hat den Eindruck, dass Olivia Grimes ein Programm ist. Olivia Grimes teilte uns auch mit, dass ihr das alles leid täte, dass aber erst recht keine Reduktion des Mietpreises möglich sei. Als Fazit kann man nur sagen: Lassen sie die Finger von Algavevacation.net. Wir mieten seit Jahrzehnten, manchmal mehrmals im Jahr, Ferienhäuser in ganz Europa. So etwas wie bei Algarvevacation.net haben wir noch nie erlebt.

We didn't need anything as our Villa was perfect (beautiful pool and unrivalled location for The Strip) but we knew they were on hand if needed. We'll definitely return and definitely use Algarve Vacation again. My only annoyance is I didn't find them sooner.

Jan 31,2024We stayed at Villa Charlotte from 22nd July 2023 for 7 nights, a party of 19 guests. The villa itself was a good size, modern and clean and in an ideal location. However, things were not the same as in the photos and the promotional video. Unfortunately, like most of the other reviews we were there during the time when both showers in one of the lower floor bathrooms was out-of-action and there was building works taking place in full view from the outside seating/pool area. On arrival on the Saturday we were concerned when we could clearly see a large crane, digger, skip and truck from the pool area. The following day at the welcome meeting with the rep from Algarve Vacation we voiced our concerns and she assured us that “by law” no works should be taking place from July to September. This was not the case, on the Monday morning we were woken up at 7.50 am by the noise of work starting up. We contacted Algarve Vacation and also the rep and was told that someone would call us back – no one did call and the works continued until 6pm. We were all really angry and upset, especially after being re-assured by the rep the previous day. Thereafter the builders arrived every morning at 7.50 am on the dot. Although the noise wasn’t as bad as on the first day we still had no privacy from them and the giant crane would sound a siren just before it would swing over our heads. The other main issue we had was the two showers not working on the lower floor. Ten people (adults and children) were sleeping on this level and had to share the only two fully functioning showers on this floor. This was not what we had paid for. When we got home I contacted Vrbo to log a compliant but was told I needed to speak directly with Algarve Vacation. To cut a long story short after months of dealing with Algarve Vacation their response is to quote clause c) on the booking form which clearly states that the company is not responsible for any unforeseen events, inside or outside the property etc. So that was it, no compensation or refund offered, just an apology. They took our money but didn’t deliver the quiet, relaxing holiday in a private villa we were hoping for. Myself and the other guests won’t be re-booking with Algarve Vacation again in the future.
