Jul 18,2023Be warned 1. there is a large building site with machinery next door - this overlooks the entire back yard, living room and kitchen. 2. This is not a toddler friendly villa, there are multiple levels with stairs that are too wide to block off. 3. The gate to the driveway and door are low enough to be jumped over easily - once over the gate you can access the side garden which leads to the pool which cannot be seen unless you are round there. I would not feel safe allowing my children to play outside on their own.

Local rep (Nadia) & AV rep Olivia extremely evasive & dishonest. No where to place these reviews on trip advisor. Wish I had been aware of Trustpilot prior to booking. I would strongly advise against the use of this company.

Jun 26,2023My family and I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Villa Charlotte, that can only be described as a complete disaster. The property we booked seemed like a dream come true based on the enticing pictures but in reality, it turned out to be a nightmarish ordeal that left us utterly disappointed and regretful. First and foremost, the misleading pictures displayed on the website were a gross misrepresentation of what we actually encountered. Instead of the serene oasis depicted online, we were greeted by a scene of chaos and disappointment. The villa was situated right next to an active building site, which subjected us to relentless noise and non-stop banging from 7:30 am until 6 pm every day. Our hopes of a peaceful and relaxing holiday were shattered, as we were unable to escape the construction cacophony even within the confines of our supposedly luxurious rented villa. The second major issue we encountered was the pervasive stench of damp that permeated the entire downstairs area. It was as if the musty odour had taken up permanent residence, making it impossible to enjoy any time spent indoors. The overpowering smell not only robbed us of any sense of comfort but also raised concerns about the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the property. When we reported this, it was like it was a new issue and they sent an AC engineer, however reading other reviews, its clear this is a persistent issue along with the smell that follow him. Adding insult to injury, we discovered a leak during our stay that posed a significant safety hazard. Tragically, one member of our party slipped and fell as a direct result of this leak, thankfully they were un-injured. This incident highlights the negligence on the part of the villa's management, as they failed to address and rectify such a glaring issue prior to our arrival. It is deeply troubling to think that the safety of guests was so carelessly disregarded. To compound our frustration, we learned from other guests that a different family was offered compensation for their inconveniences prior to their arrival, whereas we were not extended the same courtesy. This inconsistency in treatment leaves us feeling undervalued and raises serious doubts about the professionalism and fairness of the management. So if you have a booking, make sure you're getting your compensation prior to arrival like the others have. Unfortunately, we had already paid, and it seems if they already have your money - there's no chance of getting it back! In conclusion, our experience at this holiday villa was a profound disappointment from start to finish. The misleading advertising, constant noise pollution, the stench of damp permeating the property, the dangerous leak, and the lack of compensation have left us feeling utterly dissatisfied. We strongly advise against anyone considering staying at this villa, as it fails to live up to its promises and provides a woeful and distressing holiday experience.

Jun 22,2023Our large family of 20 adults and 5 children stayed at villa Royal Mill in Albufeira, with ages from 80 years old to 18-months old. The location was quiet, with lovely panoramic views from the breakfast room. We spent most of the week by the very nice pool, heated as it was May. The villa is large yes, but by no means is it a luxury villa as it is described. It initially appeared to be ok when we arrived, the hot tub wasn't clean, but they did come back the next day to do it. one of the rooms had a bad sewer smell making the room unusable. We had a spare room so changed rooms and reported it. No action was taken. Some of the showers were in extremely poor condition, with no hot water, the sun lounger cushions were ripped and tatty and the property in general needed updating. One dishwasher for a 13 bedroom villa! We were on holiday and don't want to spend our time complaining to the host. We booked with Airbnb and on our return were asked for £301 for damage that we did not do, some of that for damage to a shower cubicle. I've seen this same complaint about them at least four times on other Trustpilot reviews, this must be how they upgrade their properties. We appealed to Airbnb and this was eventually reduced to £154 although how we are supposed to prove something we didn't do remains unclear. Customer service was good prior to our arrival, the host gave us a heave up-sell on his boat trips and Portuguese nights which we did not take up. Customer service locally was poor, with zero interest in the unclean hot tub we paid extra for, the sewer room or in providing us with safety gates for our two toddlers. We will not use this company again. If you do decide to use this company, then use a third party like Airbnb for mediation or pay on your credit card so you have some form of financial protection.

Jun 05,2023Fabulous and very spacious, well finished and modern villa, with everything top quality throughout. From the motorised shutters on every door and window through to the fold out canopy at the outside dining area too, it is superb. The games room is also a brilliant addition as well and it’s very private in a lovely quiet dead end street, but only 1 minute away from Seasons across the road and a 15 minute walk to the lovely new Marina area, with a couple of bars and restaurants on the way too. The best villa we’ve stayed and we’ve been to Spain, Portugal, Canaries and America. 5 Star review for a 5 Star villa. Will certainly return. 😎😎 Keith.

May 05,2023Villa Alegria is a beautiful family venue. Pool, etc as advertised and all great. Grest restaurants within easy walking distances. You can walk to the beach in 15 minutes, with seafront cafés and public toilets. It's a bit of an uphill slog on the way back but upu can drive down an park free. The Algarvevacation staff are great too, always available on the phone or WhatsApp and very helpful.

May 05,2023The whole set up here is flawless. Quick answers to any questions, someone is always on hand to help. We arrived in Portugal much earlier than check in. They arranged airport transfer to a “check on centre” where our bags were stored. We were then contacted when the villa was ready and taken to check in. The villa was spotless and the pool + hot tub were cleaned daily. Top quality company to work with. Thanks again

Apr 25,2023Wir bewohnten die Villa Charlotte im April 2023. Leider ist die Villa von 3 Baustellen umgeben, hier wurde schon morgens um 7:20 angefangen, zu arbeiten. Ausschlafen war trotz Urlaub nicht möglich, alle Bewohner des Hauses waren ab halb acht auf den Beinen. Das Speißfaß pendelte den ganzen Tag immer hin und her über den Pool. Die Lautstärke der Baustellen war eine Katastrophe. Erst am Abend gegen 6:30 pm war Ruhe in der Gegend und wir konnten unsere Unterkunft genießen. Es war schlimm. Was aber noch viel schlimmer war, war die Tatsache, dass im ganzen Haus Schimmel zu finden ist. Am schlimmsten ist es in dem Vier-Personen-Schlafraum. Der Gestank dort war nicht zu ertragen. Die dort untergebrachten Personen mussten nach der ersten Nacht wegen gesundheitlicher Probleme und Würgreiz wegen des Geruchs, umziehen. Der Schimmel befindet sich leider im ganzen Haus. Am Treppenaufgang zum Obergeschoss sind Ausblühungen am Putz, die Türzargen sind unten schwarz angelaufen, die Decken in den Duschen sind voller schwarzer Flecken. Die Duschräume unten haben leider keine Fenster, die Badezimmer im Obergeschoss haben zwar Fenster, diese lassen sich aber zum Teil nicht öffnen, so dass man über das Schlafzimmer lüften muss. Es existieren zwar Lüftungen, diese funktionieren aber nicht in jedem Badezimmer. Den Geruch und den Schimmel haben wir bereits am ersten Tag reklamiert, es wurde auch versucht, zu helfen, allerdings gab man uns für den Vier-Personen-Schlafraum nur ein lächerliches Vanille-Duft-Spray, was weder den Gestank überdecken konnte, noch die gesundheitsgefährdeten Substanzen neutralisieren kann. Ein lächerlicher Versuch das Problem zu beheben. Im Nachhinein wurde uns von der Agentur nur gesagt, sie wären für diese Probleme nicht verantwortlich. Nie wieder buchen wir bei algarvevacation.net. Schrecklich!
