Jul 15,2021Booked a Villa with this company. Holiday and everything went well, but now been home 3 weeks and cant get my damage deposit back. have emailed them 3 times and just been fobbed off. We left the place in immaculate condition with no breakages or damages. AVOID THIS COMPANY Wow, you certainly have demonstrated just how much you care about customer service. It has only taken you 26 MONTHS to respond! Very impressive and thank you so much for being such a caring and responsive business.

They think they are very clever but it's sad for a little extra money they have to fu** people over...Guess theyre not making that much in the first place 😂😂 Never again and do not reccomend

Jun 19,2021IRIDA MUSARAJ I DO NOT RECOMMEND ALGARVEVACATION. We booked an expensive villa with them for a week ( on 30 May - 6 June ) but unfortunately our flights got cancelled two days before on 28 May,not because of us but because of the situation with Covid. The country I chose for holiday was in green list but within a week it change to amber list ,for this reason it is impossible to go there now despite the fact that they give us the opportunity only for June to change dates and go there although for this the Algarve took us more money plus. We lost a lot with them because they were really unfair and incomrehensible do not give us any other option ,any vauchar or to go another time ,except June ,which for us is impossible. I am very disappointed with Algarve and Airbnb too ,they only know how to take the money and do not give alternatives or other opportunities fpr their clients.Not everything is in pur hands ,situations change by minutes now ,so they should be more reasonable.

Jun 17,20211. We booked flights and accommodation for one week holiday Portugal 30 May- 6 June. 2. Our flights got cancelled on 28th May and ( due to the covid test 72 hours rule not coming back at the right time , we could not do the booking. 3.We contacted Airbnb and the host ( which the villa is run under Agency Algarve Vacation ltd) the Agency agreed only to amend the booking for June month. During this month the villa was quiet they had no bookings! 4. Due to the agency being very inflexible with the dates we were forced to agree to change the booking for 13th - 20th June and we paid an extra £561. If we did not agree we would lose all the money. 5. June the 4th the Uk government changed Portugal from Green list Country - Amber . I contacted Airbnb on June 4th explaining the new rules and restrictions . A request was sent to the Algarve Vacation on the same day. Reason for not being able to travel: a. Portugal under Foreign office advice - essential travel only b. Job loss for me and my husband if we would travel and take an extra 10 days quarantine. ( Employee did not agree) 6. We gave Algarve Vacations 10 days notice to amend the booking dates. We explained the situation why we are not able to travel. We were happy to accept a voucher or a different week later in the year. We even sent a request for Easter next year as their calendar had availability. Still they refused to amend the booking. The ladie that dealt with our booking was Olivia and she was very unhelpful. We have taken our case to our bank and they are dealing with it. We are hopping justice will be done and we can have our money back. Also they even charge €/200 to warm swimming pool!

Jun 17,2021We had a holiday booked for the May half term,which they where quite willing to take the money. Our flight's were cancelled by the airline just a day before,and we couldn't book any flight either they were trippled or were not suitable for our days. The owner of the house were not at all cooperative and understandable of our circumstances and even when we asked for moving our dates for a later time they only gave us 1weeklater and charged us a very considerable amount of money. Due to the Portugal placed in amber list, it is non negotiable for us to travell anymore. We took every step and try to negotiate with them to find a reasonable solution but from their part was a disgrace . We were extremly dissapointed with the response in this occasion and I would avoid staying there in the future.

May 18,2021My review echoes all the rest absolute scammers! Our booking was changed to 2021 due to covid only to receive a call in January 2021 to say the owner would not be letting out the Villa we were offered to change to another villa but these were way over inflated Prices So we asked to cancel altogether. We were told to request to cancel to then be told that we would not receive a refund even though they could not provide the accommodation booked! This is completely illegal and I urge anyone else to contact trading standards and your bank!

May 13,2021My review pretty much echos the below issues people have had. Booked holiday for 2020. Cancelled due to no flights because of covid. Refused refund. Holiday moved to 2021 however free of charge. Holiday cancelled again due to national lockdowns due to covid. Fees now being charged to move holiday and no chance of a refund. Also not only being charged a €150 fee to move holiday but allegedly price of holiday will also be increased by €400 for 2022. No invoices or quotes to back up these fees. Still refusing a refund. Locked into a holiday from hell with erroneous charges starting to pop up!

Apr 16,2021Absolute disgrace. Cannot provide the villa we booked, have not provided suitable equivalent accommodation and refusing to refund the money as per the terms of the booking. Has been over 2 weeks since we emailed the director and over a week since a recorded letter was sent to their premises. No response. Prior to serving the director with notice of the complaint they were trying to offer other villas with not enough beds for our group size or up to €2500 euros more in costs.

Mar 15,2021Booked a villa with this company through Vrbo for July 2020. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and being a front line worker we were unable to go on our family holiday as planned. We contacted the company in charge of villa Algarve Vacations for a refund but was met with hostility and a blunt refusal of any help, even though at the time Portugal itself was in a national lockdown as well as the United Kingdom. I was told at this time my deposit money had already been paid to the villa owner, I asked for proof which they could not supply. After days of going backwards and forwards the only option we were given was to move the dates of holiday to July 2021. Feeling we had no other option, we took it. Roll on 2021 we have obviously contacted Algarve Vacations to explain we are still in the midst of the pandemic, again we can not fly, get flights or insurance to fly, out of a group of 7 only one has been vaccinated due to being a frontline worker, so again we asked for a refund. This time we were told a flat no to the refund and that if we want to change the dates of our holiday we would be charged £150 to JUST change the date. When we challenged this by saying we would contact our bank for a recall of the deposit money we got 2 emails with a threatening tone of that we should think again as we would be charged and that yes you have spent money on a holiday but our villa owners need to pay their mortgages. Absolutely disgusting. DO NOT book your holiday with this company!!!!!!

Nov 15,2019Algarve Vacation ist Anbieter von Ferienunterkünften. Im Herbst 2019 konnten wir einen herrlichen Urlaub in einer großen Villa mit noch größerem Pool verbringen. Der Service von AV ist erstklassig. Die Kommunikation nach Deutschland war immer sehr schnell und unkompliziert. Vor der Anreise wurde auch noch alles was zur Anreise und zum Bezug des Hauses wichtig zu wissen ist bei einem Anruf des Anbieters in deutscher Sprache besprochen. Super Service so etwas und dies auch weiter bei der Betreuung über die Ferienwoche. Vielen Dank.

They've always tried to be helpful and have been very clear regarding their cancellation policies, and we've only ever seen them follow the appropriate guidelines. All I can say is that our own experience has always been a positive one
