Nov 18,2021Where do I start. The help and support before we even left the county was impressive and once there it didn’t stop. The villa was stunning definitely better than the pictures suggested and we all had an amazing time. The staff were on hand whenever we needed them and explained everything thoroughly. Check in and check out was easy and the suggestions and assistance with excursions was very helpful. Would 100% and recommend and can’t wait to visit again in the future. Thank you guys for the hospitality what a great team.

Nov 16,2021A group of us visited Villa Bonita Brenda (7-14th oct 2021) originally booked for 2020 but moved forward due to Covid . We are a group of NHS nurses age groups 55-62 years and have been visiting different areas of Portugal annually for 11 years now. We wanted and needed to chill out . We all felt slightly anxious due to Covid requirements/ locator forms/ tests ect prior to going but we were organised and everything went smoothly . The booking process and communication was really good , all queries answered . We had an early flight so dropped off our luggage at the villa whilst it was being cleaned from previous occupants . From the start of holiday till the end we had a fabulous chilled out time . The lady who showed us around the villa was lovely, friendly and informative . We had 24 hour contact numbers but did not need . The villa was immaculate, so clean and comfortable. We cooked and ate in a lot and it was well stocked with equipment/bbq ect . Pool and hot tub so lush and managed daily . The local supermarket was a walk away ( taxi back) Beach at the bottom of the road . Lovely restaurant for cocktails and meal also . A few other Portuguese / English bars / restaurants if needed . This is a lovely chilled out area , and didn’t want or expect the nightlife ( no idea 🤷♀️ tbh ) in fact we just wanted to chill , relax and laugh . We have re booked for next year (booked before we set off home) Lovely surprise of a small welcome pack of provisions which we didn’t expect at all . A little bit loath to give this review because the last time I did with a previous villa , we never booked again because , obviously , everyone read my review and booked before us 😬. Nov 16,2021I'm surprised at the negative reviews here, our experience was positive. The villa was booked online within two weeks of our intended stay and Algarve Properties were good with their communications in the lead up to our stay. The breakage deposit was refunded to us within two weeks after our holiday. There was a bit of confusion as to how we were supposed to get access to the property, one email stating that there was a key drop facility while another stated that someone would meet us at the property, the reality was that both were correct! A rep (I can't remember his name but he was very polite) showed up and talked us through the facilities and showed us where everything was. The property was in very good condition and well stocked with the usual cutlery, crockery, towels etc. The owners were also kind enough to enough that some basic food items were provided, tea, coffee etc.

Nov 16,2021Used Algarve vacation few times booked again for next year both villas we have had was immaculate had no problems at all .pool cleaned every few days.Cleaner came with clean bedding every other day so friendly . Villa beliza is lovely so close to nightlife,beach,bus stops etc not even a 5 min walk Carnt wait for next sept.Karen the representative is lovely always there to help booked us quarteria market and the taxi was bang on time. Don’t understand bad reviews at all never had a problem over nearly 3 years now highly recommended

Oct 14,2021We returned last week from the Algarve. Our villa was booked for a party of 8 in May 2020. Two days before arrival we were told that there was a problem with our villa (Villa Semana) and we would have to move to another one. We never found out what the problem was! The only one available in the same area was Villa Mauritius (Villa Mar was the name on the gate!) This villa bore no resemblance to Villa Semana which is very modern and with 5 en suite bedrooms. Villa Mauritius is old and dated and in need of total refurbishment. The bedrooms were not all en suite , the tiles in most of the bathrooms were old and cracked. There were tiles missing in the pool. The kitchen which is old and dark has cupboards full of all kinds of dishes, glasses, plastic ware which had obviously never been sorted and tidied. The filter in the dishwasher was to put it bluntly disgusting! One of our party had to get a knife and a scrubbing brush to clean it. The towels which were provided in the bedrooms varied from just about decent to old, thin and bleach stained. The only good points are that the villa is closer to the beach, some restaurants and the Apolonia supermarket. The person who booked the holiday had major difficulties in communicating with Algarve Vacations. The local office and the UK office do not seem to communicate which resulted in a lot of very frustrating emails and phone calls. We will certainly never book through Algarve Vacations again.

Sep 15,2021Do not book your accomodation to this company. We have been trying to give our money back after cancelling the accomodation in view to COVID. They said that the money is transferred, but it doesn’t. They give no ARN nummer what makes it difficult to get our money back. DO NOT BOOK by algarve vacation. This company can not be trusted.

Sep 14,2021First I was satisfied with the communication with Algarve Vacation but when I Unfortunately had to cancel the villa we rented. I knew we had to pay the cancellation costs. But when I made the reservation I also paid service costs and they didn't pay me back these costs although in the policy it was mentioned that you don't have to pay service costs when you cancel the booking. So never book something at this organization because they don't act correctly and the don't honour existing commitments!!

Sep 06,2021Do not book your accommodation through this company! We cancelled our reservation due to COVID and we never got our money back. They claimed to have refunded the money to our credit card but it never came to us, €1900 gone… We have reached out several times to them and they keep sending us the same message. The customer service is very bad (we talked with Olivia) and not helpfull at all. Avoid this company at all cost!!!

Aug 31,2021Be very careful of this company, they are money grabbing deceitful, untrustworthy imposters. Do not use this company, if you do book, use a credit card. Olivia at Algarve Vacations was extremely unhelpful only quoting their terms and conditions which had no recognition of COVID or the T&C's on their website, It is as if Covid did not exist, at least as far as their terms and conditions are concerned. Absolute disgrace. Cannot provide the villa we booked, have not provided suitable equivalent accommodation and refusing to refund the money as per the terms of the booking. We emailed the director and over a week since a recorded letter was sent to their premises. No response. Prior to serving the director with notice of the complaint they were trying to offer other villas with not enough beds for our group size or up to €2500 euros more in costs. However Mastercard saw things differently and took up our case with a full refund.

Aug 10,2021We booked a large Villa with Algarve Vacation pre pandemic for August this year for a big family holiday. Covid comes along and changes everything and meant we could not travel as some of the group had not been double vaccinated and would have meant individuals needing to quarantine over in Portugal. Olivia at Algarve Vacations was extremely unhelpful only quoting their terms and conditions which had no recognition of COVID and in the end we ended up losing nearly £2k deposit. We would have lost the full cost (£7k) had we paid the balance when due. It is as if Covid did not exist, at least as far as their terms and conditions are concerned. There are other travel companies out there who will refund your deposit and full balance in the event of a COVID incident that prevents travel. I would have more time for Olivia and Algarve Vacations if they were more customer focussed and understanding that the travel industry has changed. If I was a property owner with them I would take my business elsewhere.

Nov 18,2021Had a great holiday in 2021 booked through Algarve Vacations at Villa Praia, Albufeira. Great customer service throughout - both UK based and when we arrived - help available when needed, which was particularly useful given the added complications of COVID travel at time. We arranged transfers and trips through the company and found these to be reliable and pretty good value. The villa was clean and well equipped, and in great location - as advertised. A bit surprised to see negative reviews, which certainly don't reflect our experience of dealing with Algarve Vacations, which has been positive throughout.
