UPDATE: seems like they function today. so far so good. no hd calling, no 4g calling although the same phone has these features active when i insert Voxi, Ee or 3 sim card.

Tried numerous times to link new Asda number to new MyAccount and app but always fails to send activation code. Phoned Asda and was told it would now work within 24 hours, it didn't. Phoned again, told to wait a further 48 hours, still didn't work! Phoned again, told to wait another 48 hours. It's now been over two weeks and still not sending the activation code, so now seriously wondering why I am even going to change to this Mickey Mouse network!
Impossible to set up an account on your website and the advice from your customer service team to try again in a couple of days was the most unhelpful I've ever had. I've switched to a different network
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Signed up for talk and text for 12 months. I had to call customer services to get the sim registered, then I was told I was on a monthly renewable contract, even though I selected a 12 month contract, and they requested my credit card details............ I have 2 identical phones, and as expected, the asda contract using vodafone network, depletes the charge over night, and has to be charged TWICE a day. I will never use vodafone or any subcontractors using there network again.
I was very impressed at the ease of purchasing my sim and the speedy delivery. However the comp tract I signed up for was £5.99 and my deducted amount from my account is £6.29? I have sent on two requests for answers and still waiting for a reply! Not cool

Awful customer service! Promised a refund twice and still not appeared. Problems from the start of signing up and now this on top too! Regardless of how cheap I wouldn’t recommend
Very difficult to get help and support quickly. App is very limited, doesn't show remaining data. Asked help desk but have to go through complex checks when all I need I want is generic "how to" guidance. Probably reflects the very low cost of deal I have.
Exactly the sort of thing I’d expect from Asda. Despite repeated attempts, I never got an activation code so couldn’t even start using the service. I only needed a SIM for a few days so thought I’d use a cheap option, but I’ve learned my lesson.
No problems so far, turnover from other provider hastle free
new sim card arrived very quick took longer to sign in and get started on the app but everything ok now
I wish if there are is star rating to give to Asda mobile. I purchased and tried for 3 hours to get activation code to activate the sim but never got it. When I asked for refund, they started asking my password and now shamelessly sent email link to rate their service. What absolute joke in name of mobile company!!!!!
The adviser was very pleasant, friendly and easy to talk to. He not only addressed my problem, but he came up with a better offer! A £4 sim only with no contract length. Just rolling. It’s a fantastic deal for an elderly lady I care for. The call was quick, with easy to understand information. Overall I was extremely impressed with the adviser, the service received so far, and the really great deal. Thank you.

Feb 11,2025Bought two PAYG sims to activate online. The online activation is supposed to send a SMS code. Been trying for a week and the SMS code does not arrive. Called Asda Mobile who seem to be based in Egypt. They mentioned system upgrades are causing the issue. No ETA for a fix. Reading online - it seems this is a long-term ongoing issue. Can't be asked to try anymore and will ditch those SIMS and try elsewhere. Don't bother with Asda Mobile. I can only imagine the potential issues of potentially porting a number in and out. EDIT: Notice Asda have replied to this review asking me to contact them to resolve. The standard reply for all complaints. No thanks. I already called twice and zero help whatsoever. If they had any bottle, they would mention what the issue is publicly on this website.
