Sep 09,2024Aviva's business model is a scam. They are focused on exploiting customers rather than building relationships for repeat business. Unfortunately, there are too many businesses in Croatia that have chosen this path due to mass tourism, but at some point, it will backfire. Customer service was very poor and borderline rude. My rental voucher was for a two-week period, from day X 10 AM to day Y 10 AM. I arrived at their office around 12 PM on Friday during normal business hours, and they charged me a €35 late pickup fee. Given their behavior, I inquired about the return process – I’ve been renting cars and flying back from Split once per year in the last 10-15years (excluding Covid years) and early flight was always my only option. None of the rental companies was opened when I was returning car and rental company would inspect the car and charge my CC in the case of any damages. Aviva rep told me that key box on the kiosk outside wall was only fir their internal use and that they would charge me an additional €80 for early drop off before 7am. Decided to give my money to honest business not these guys, booked hotel and returned car day earlier.

They have a lot of hidden fees, as well as a huge deposit in case you don't want to buy full insurance, which is very expensive (1700 euro to return in 30 days) In addition, the agent at the counter tried to trick us by asking us for an additional fee of 120 euros to be able to cross the new bridge towards Dubrovnik, although it is free. Be careful!

Sep 08,2024They gave me a car with a big hole in one tire, fixed with a piece of metal. very dangerous. Since I didn't check the tires when taking the car, of course I had to pay for the repair.

Sep 08,2024I liked the car we were given (peogeot 2008 automatic) as it was practically brand new and good on the highway but it was a much larger vehicle than what I had booked which is a manual VW Polo or similar size hatchback , also I booked through a third party and had booked CDW insurance with them , however when I arrived to pick up car , I was told I would have to purchase insurance with Avia to avoid having a large deposit blocked on my credit card (1100 euros ) therefore the car hire ended up being a lot more expensive than anticipated, I also prepaid for a full tank of fuel so I wouldn't have to return the car full but when we picked up the car it was only 75% full tank , as we were in a hurry to get to our destination that was several hours away, we did not have time to being this to the attention of the car hire staff. Overall the car was good but the hire charges were a lot more expensive than anticipated.in future I will book directly with companies and avoid misleading third party car hire booking companies

Sep 07,2024Nous avons été très mal accueilli au guichet Avia Car à Dubrovnik. L'avion ayant eu du retard nous sommes arrivés 1 heure après l'heure prévue soit à 22h00 et nous avons dû payer un supplément de 40 € car l'agence ferme normalement à 21h00 alors que j'avais prévenu du retard indépendant de notre volonté. L'agent d'accueil à été très désagréable nous a sommé de payer sinon pas de voiture . Nous sollicitons de votre part un geste commercial pour cette déconvenue. Merci pour votre réponse. Sep 07,2024HORRIBLE On vous fais croire un prix sur internet (kayak)d’environ 270 euro la semaine avec location avec assurance - arrivée sur place vous devez payer le double à cause d’une histoire de carte de crédit / débit et on vous fais prendre une autre assurance !! Ils vont répondre vous avez pas lu les conditions en tout petit en bas de la page On connais l’histoire mais merci et à jamais N’allez jamais chez eux !!! (AVIA) Un couple âgée à côté de nous le même jour on vécu la même chose … La pire expérience possible en therme de location de voiture pendant un voyage

Sep 07,2024Our rented vehicle was not available and we were upgraded with a nice and good vehicle, cherry on the cake I was used to drive this car so much easier when you are in a foreign country. The bad side was the lady who welcomed us for the take off, if she doesn’t like her job and the contact with tourists she may change her job. Fortunately the lady who welcomed us for the drop off was a kind one.

Sep 07,2024Sehr schnelle Abwicklung bei Abholung, Auto (bestellter Golf auch verfügbar- nicht wie bei anderen oft dann etwas kleiners) nur mit minimalen Gebrauchsspuren. Bei Rückgabe wurden qir schon erwartet - 5 min war Alles erledigt. Freundliches Personal - gern wieder.

Sep 09,2024Great service, pickup and drop off were seamless. The upgrade vehicle met the needs of our group perfectly. New and very well kept vehicle. Great help at the desk regarding local rules and help with managing tolls was super helpful.
