Sep 04,2024🇬🇧First of all, I want to explain why I give one star (since I can't give zero). This company ruined my trip financially. Why? Because I did not have a debit card, a requirement that is not common in Spain. They forced me to take out comprehensive insurance, something I did not want and which meant an additional cost of 600 €. I had taken out basic insurance, which was more than sufficient for the use I planned to make of the car. In all the countries where I have rented a car, they have been able to hold the deposit without any problem with my credit card. My displeasure is such that I will definitely NOT recommend this company to my friends when they need to rent a car. 🇪🇸En primer lugar, quiero explicar por quĂ© doy una estrella (ya que no puedo dar cero). Esta compañĂa arruinĂł mi viaje econĂłmicamente. ÂżPor quĂ©? Porque no tenĂa una tarjeta de dĂ©bito, un requisito que no es comĂşn en España. Me obligaron a contratar un seguro a todo riesgo, algo que no deseaba y que supuso un coste adicional de 600 €. Yo habĂa contratado un seguro básico, que era más que suficiente para el uso que planeaba darle al coche. En todos los paĂses donde he alquilado un coche, han podido retener el depĂłsito sin problema con mi tarjeta de crĂ©dito. Mi disgusto es tal que definitivamente NO recomendarĂ© esta compañĂa a mis amigos cuando necesiten alquilar un coche.

Sep 04,2024Initially, I was disappointed with the way Car Jet Platinum Cover , didn’t include a fully comprehensive cover during the rental booking. Consequently, the staff at Avia Rent Car , explained more in details and advised to take an additional cover, so I can be fully insured during my rental. Car Jet , need to be more transparent with their insurance company policy.

Sep 03,2024Very straightforward rental. Staff were great! Probably got the worst car in their fleet but it got us to where we wanted to go and they didn't bother to look for any damage as it had so many scrapes and dents

Sep 03,2024Buongiorno, Volevo avvisarvi che l'autonoleggio Avia mi ha truffato. Appena arrivato, ho messo a disposizione tutti i documenti e la carta di credito con cui ho pagato l'assicurazione riservata. Ho anche fornito la carta come garanzia, ma loro hanno affermato che non va bene, dicendo che era una cashback e che non valeva. Ho sempre usato questa carta come cauzione in Spagna, Italia e Grecia. A quel punto ho proposto di utilizzare quella di mia moglie, ma si sono rifiutati anche su quella, dicendo che dovevamo pagare 210 Euro in piĂą. Alla fine, per non rimanere senza macchina, abbiamo pagato ingiustamente. Vorrei chiedere spiegazioni su questa truffa. Cordiali saluti,

Sep 03,2024We hired two cars through VIP cars before arriving in Croatia including the premium excess cover, when we collected the cars from Avia we found the salesperson very persuasive to buy their excess cover(we explained we’d already got it) and ours wouldn’t cover everything, after a few minutes they gave up as we continually refused. The cars were throughly checked for damage and marks (we took photos and videos too). Once everything was signed off we were given the keys and on our way. The young lady didn’t show us any of the controls etc to the car and had to find out for ourselves. We did worry that on return they’d be looking for any excuse to withhold some of the deposit however returning the car was far easy. I have hired cars whilst on holiday many times for a few days with a lot less hassle however theses cars we had for the week, if it weren’t for the unnecessary pressure to purchase their excess cover I would have given 5*. The weeks hire for each car including premium cover cost just over £200 which I think is a great deal the cars themselves were new Peugeot 308’s c/w CarPlay so access to sat nav and other phone apps was great.

Sep 02,2024C'est du vol. On nous a obligé à payer l'assurance supplémentaire de 375 € pour 0 franchise comme la carte de mon mari expirait en 09/24 . (Car le conducteur ne pouvait pas être mis à mon nom) 0 franchise !! On a eu un soucis de clés et il a fallu payer 400 € car contrairement à d'autres nous avons été honnête ! La negligence n'est pas assurée. Bref à quoi bon payer ??? La clé était déjà oxydée quand on l'a ouverte. 50 € pour venir à 7h ... bref je déconseille surtout que c'est à l'exterieur de l'aéroport.

Sep 02,2024La experiencia no fue agradable. Nos cobraron más de 500 Euros por un daño en el carro que no hicimos nosotros. Cuando recibimos el carro en Dubrovnik fue en la noche y estaba oscuro, era muy difĂcil detectar los daños del carro. Cuando lo entregamos en Zagreb nos dijeron que esos daños no los tenĂa el carro y que tenĂamos que pagar como 500 Euros. Simplemente un robo. Nada recomendable esta compañĂa

Sep 02,2024Great company, our flight delayed couple hours, just give them a call and they said no worries we will wait for you, that was at 3am so huge thank you for that. Also don't do big deals for any small scratches or get back the car cleaned. I'm highly recommend them and will back renting from them. Cheers guys

Sep 02,2024A fuir !!! Grosse arnaque, n’accepte pas une carte platinium, vous oblige à un surcoût de 450 €, c’est la première fois que nous rencontrons un problème pour une location. Plus jamais Avia, nous avons annulé et loué ailleurs pour bien moins cher et un personnel beaucoup plus sympathique

Sep 04,2024The vehicle was not of the expected standard .... the Avia staff from Zagreb laughed at us. More respect for the customers and more interest in their needs. Little interest in the delivery (take pictures of the damage if you want) and a lot of checking at pick-up
