When we booked it said 'meet and greet'. We were not met, or greeted... We had to wander about until we found a desk, (it wasn't easy to find, as not very well signposted), where a man sat and told us to go out of the terminal, out of the airport car park, and walk 300 yards down the road to a dusty car park to collect our car. With a dozen suitcases and no trolley in 38C heat, this was not ideal. I guess they do this to make their rent cheaper, so possibly reflected in prices. Anyway, the collection process was OK, it felt like it was our responsibility to help them to take a picture and note every single tiny scratch and dent before taking the car away. The overarching feeling was one of 'if I don't find all the dings, then they will be noted on our return and blamed on us'. This is not a great feeling when collecting a hire car. Car itself was great, and about the right size compared to what we thought we were getting prior to arrival. Return process was a lot quicker and simpler than expected. We had no problems during the hire and had made sure to not damage it in any way, so I didn't expect problems, but perhaps the collection palaver left a suspicion that they'd try to find problems to attribute to us. They did not. All in all, it was an OK car and process, but the collection was far from smooth.
The car was brand new and good quality. The pick up took quite a long time, there were other clients and a queue, this was the only inconvenience. Overall good experience.

Teníamos la recogida en Pula en la oficina de la estación de autobuses, y después de dos horas buscando la ubicación, un taxista nos tuvo que llevar al aeropuerto a recoger el coche, en ningún momento se nos avisó del cambio, y después de 3 horas con una temperatura muy alta y maletas de 20 kilos imaginen como estábamos, y encima tuvimos que pagar 30 euros para que nos llevaran a recoger el coche. A LA CONTESTACION DE ELLOS QUE LLEGAMOS TARDE, YA PUSE EN MI QUEJA QUE ESTUVIMOS CASI 2 HORAS DANDO VUELTAS PREGUNTANDO Y BUSCANDO LA OFICINA, Y LLEGAMOS ANTES DE LAS 15 HORAS, QUE EL PAPELEO SE ACABO A LAS 15.35 SI LO QUE TARDAMOS EN HACERLO TENGO MI RESERVA Y EN ELLA ESTA LA RECOGIDA EN LA ESTACION DE AUTOBUSES Y QUIEN QUIERA VERLO NO TENGO NINGUN PROBLEMA EN DEMOSTRARLO
El precio es más que competitivo y el coche estaba genial, incluso nos dieron uno mayor. Muy recomendable
The car was ok, but the booster seat i asked for was not provided, in spite of serval mails to the local office no one gives a reaction, and till now they do not pay the money back.

The check in representative was fantastic. Very welcoming, kind, not pushy and excellent English and communication skills. Both women we dealt with when we collected and returned the car were equally fantastic, again very kind, great communication and excellent English skills.
My credit card was declined with the explanation that Comdirect Bank is an online bank. Well, good morning—nowadays nearly every credit card company operates exclusively online. We were informed by a slightly arrogant agent that no one in all of Croatia would accept my card. However, just 2 meters down the road, I was told that my credit card was perfectly fine. We felt compelled to pay an additional 200 euros to avoid the deposit. Either this is a huge scam or absolute cluelessness. I don't know which is worse for such a "renowned" company. The only positive thing about the rental was the drop-off, because of the very friendly worker.
In general it was fine however the child car seat was extremely unsafe moved around with no latch to the car. Also GPS did not work had we not had our phones we would have been in trouble. When we returned the car had to pay extra due to our flight being early and attendant needed to come in earlier. This is not the way business should be conducted and staff really needs to be trained on customer service.
Great service as always. We have been hiring cars from them for the last 4 summers. We highly recommended them.
Very bad experience with the front desk employee for check in The person was really unpleasant and forced us to tale additional expensive options for a so called credit card issue. I am a regular traveler for business in Croatia and other countries and it was my last time with avia !

Bonjour j'ai du payer 500 euros de plus car je n'avait pas la bonne carte de crédit. De plus perdu 60 euros de réservation.
Very efficient check-in and check-out process and no pushing for additional insurance. Reasonable pricing and good car.

The whole process to receive the car at the AVIA Counter needs absolutly to much time. For each Customer the process needs minimum 20min. Although i send all my information like driver license etc. via AVIA App. Platform before. Additionally is attempted to get more Money for Ensurances or Extra Pay for Car Return outside opening times. This is not serious.
The very nice lady would give and pick up the car from us. We were happy with the car and service. We paid on the office insurance so that we do not pay a deposit and have a free head on vacation.

Aug 21,2024Je suis extrêmement déçu par les services de l’agence de location de voiture Avia. Voici les principaux problèmes rencontrés : - Temps d’attente inacceptable : Il n’y avait que deux guichets ouverts et nous avons mis deux heures à récupérer notre véhicule, alors qu’il n’y avait que deux personnes devant nous. - Panne du véhicule : Après quelques jours, la voiture est tombée en panne à cause d’un problème d’injecteur, dont nous n’étions aucunement responsables. Avia a mis trois jours à nous proposer un véhicule de remplacement (comme stipulé dans le contrat, il faut l'admettre). Cependant, cela a tout de même été trois jours sans véhicule, ce qui a eu un impact considérable sur nos vacances. Avia a refusé de faire un geste commercial, se retranchant derrière leurs conditions générales. - Pénalité "essence" injustifiée : Avia nous a indiqué qu’une pénalité serait appliquée car ils estimaient que le plein n’avait pas été fait sur le véhicule récupéré par leur dépanneuse. Il est évident qu’il est impossible de remplir 40L d'essence sur un véhicule en panne en pleine campagne, à plus de 20km de la station service la plus proche. Après des négociations de plusieurs jours, Avia a finalement annulé cette pénalité le jour où nous avons rendu le véhicule de remplacement. - Propreté du véhicule de remplacement : Le véhicule de remplacement était sale : les sièges étaient tachés et il y avait des paquets de gâteaux entamés dans les vide-poches. Comme il s’agissait d’un véhicule de remplacement, il n’y a pas eu de check-in. Vu les échanges précédents avec Avia, nous avons préféré nettoyer le véhicule nous-mêmes pour éviter qu’ils ne nous facturent un manque de propreté. Je déconseille fortement cette agence de location de voiture. Leur service client est déplorable et ils ne prennent aucune responsabilité pour les désagréments causés.
