Easy pickup in terminal at Dublin Airport, the gentleman on the desk was super processing our booking quickly. The car we were given was clean and exactly the size we had requested. Drop off was easy and quick, we’d definitely use Avis again.

2nd time I have used Avis at Derry City Airport. The staff there are truly great. So friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble, both on pick up and drop off.
I returned a vehicle to Dublin Airport after a one day hire. As soon as I reached the drop off point, the representative came out and was tutting and grumbling saying "oh dear, what's happened here" and pointing to damage on several of the wheels. He indicated I would be charged for this. I explained that the damage was pre existing but he said it was not recorded on the vehicle condition sheet. (and I wondered how he went straight to the damage). I then explained that I had taken a high definition video of the car in the T1 car park before it left their parking space when I picked it up and all of the damage was pre-existing and recorded already on my phone. He seemed genuinely disappointed. He then pointed to damage on the tire (a slash on the tyre). It was obviously old damage and corresponded to the significant existing damage on the alloy wheel. It was obvious it had been pinched between the wheel and another hard object during a previous accident. He said the damage to the tyre would not show up on my phone video and they were going to charge me anyway. I pointed out that the damage would be recorded on the video when I picked the car up. A person who I presume was the manager came out and started poking his fingers behind the flap on the tyre and pulling on it and saying it was dangerous. I said it went out like that. He said they would have noticed. When I asked why he had not recorded the other two damaged wheels on the vehicle condition sheet he had no answer. They were determined to charge me for the tyre. Once I got home a day or so later I managed to download my video. I sent images showing the existing damage to the tyre by way of a slash to the sidewall. I have still been billed £241.74 for the tyre. They are still not accepting my photos even though the floor of the T1 garage is clearly visible and they have tracking in the cars. (and they have metadata showing the time on the photos). I have Amex Platinum car insurance cover so this is not about the cost. It is about deceptive business practice. Fortunately. Amex looked at the photos and videos and credited back me within 24 hours as it was obvious what happened. I have wasted 5 hours on this nonsense. If you get a car from Avis, take as many photos as you can..or preferably use another company
From Pick up to return a slick and friendly service. The car was well presented unlike previous hire car experiences with another company at Belfast City Airport.

Great location for pick up/drop back. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Cars are good condition nearly new.
