Sep 23,2024Avis Budget Car Hire - Dublin Airport Rental Agreement No. DA7****** I was charged for a replacement windscreen on the rental vehicle associated with the above agreement. I am disputing this charge, as there were two minor chips at the bottom of the screen when I collected the car (although I made the mistake of not taking a photo at the time). Avis has provided a quote from Flannery Garage amounting to €944. However, Flannery is not an independent garage—it is owned by Budget Car Hire. I requested the last five inspection reports but was denied access, citing GDPR. I suggested they redact personal information, but no reports were provided. I have also filed a complaint, but have yet to receive a response. Additionally, I asked for the repair reports for the vehicle, as I would like proof that the €944 repair was actually carried out, but again, no response I believe that €944 for two minor chips on the windscreen is excessive.

Telephone support - which I used on three occasions for piece-of-mind matters, was customer orientated, knowledgeable and reachable. I have used this car hire company many times over the years and will continue to do so on future trips.

Sep 18,2024Had the usual apprehension about collecting our car, despite having all positive experiences with Avis in Dublin airport previously. The staff member who dealt with us was very amicable and helpful and there were no problems with the car at all. The handover on our return was pleasant and efficient. Very positive experience overall. Would recommend.

Sep 12,2024Hold deg unna. Først setter de skyhøyt depositum for å selge forsikring du ikke trenger. Deretter tar de hele depositum på bensin, selv om det bare var behov for å fylle 5-10 liter etter kjøring fra Dublin til flyplassen. Avis Irland gjør at jeg aldri kommer til å bruke Avis igjen.

Aug 09,2024Car was clean, economical to drive. Not one I would want for a long drive though - incredibly clunky and I would now never buy a Dacia. I was told that it would be a terminal pick-up - it wasn't and the bus service was infreqeunet compared to all the other companies. Glad I wasn't in a hurry

Aug 05,2024I have had many car rentals in different locations around the world - but on both occasions with Avis in Barcelona Airport they have scammed / overcharged for extra's or damage to the car rental ( thankfully I had taken pictures and video) - and despite multiple emails to "customer service" there is no answer. Do not rent a car from Avis / Budget in Barcelona.

Sep 24,2024I had a car rental from Dublin airport from 12/09/24 to 23/09/24 The agent on the counter was very helpful and informative. I left my phone on the counter and they came out to me in the car park to return it. The car was great. The agent at the return centre was very good and the courtesy bus driver was very helpful and friendly to everyone.
