Mar 28,2024Booked a Peugeot 2008 and on collection was given the Hobson’s Choice of a Nissan Juke or Seat Arona. I appreciate that when booking the caveat ‘or similar’ is in place. However the only similarity is that they are all small SUV’s and neither remotely of comparable standard to the Peugeot. Had I known this would the the choice on offer I would never have made the reservation. Furthermore, I left a jacket in the vehicle when I returned it. I realized this before reaching the airport via shuttle bus. I contacted Avis immediately and spoke to central customer services who took details & undertook to relay details to the Bristol Airport office. I subsequently received an email confirming this and that the Bristol office would contact me directly. Unfortunately I heard nothing and after several attempts eventually made contact on Wednesday 27th March only to be told the item was not recovered and ‘are you sure you left it in the vehicle?’ Therefore it is anyone’s guess what happened to my jacket. This experienced has severely tarnished my view of car rental to the point I shall never rent a car again.

Mar 26,2024Have been using Avis at Knock Ireland West Airport 3 or 4 times a year for the last 10 years to visit family. Desk staff always very helpful and friendly. Cars always clean, full of fuel and in perfect condition.

Feb 27,2024The final bill is conflicting and does not have the correct return time hence I get charged an extra day for both insurance and the car, Fuel deposit needs to be returned and other charges that I now can see after returning the car need to be addressed please, I was not expecting this, Very dissapointed.

Feb 11,2024I got bumped by Ryanair and my only option was to drive back to Dublin to get home. I’d already handed back my car but Avis said no problem and gave me my car back AND reduced my one way cost! This is customer service the way it should be. Thanks to the staff at Cork Airport and so glad I only use Avis for all my car hire.!

Feb 06,2024Excellent!!! I would not hesitate to use Avis again. Boris was brilliant checking me in and very helpful on return. I took out a separate policy with another company for any Excess insurance claims which proved to be a good thing as someone had driven into me whilst parked up, leaving me with a dented bumper. Avis customer services were super efficient in providing me with all the documentation needed to make my claim. The whole thing was dealt with in a matter of days. Full marks I will definately use Avis again in the future. Thankyou

From the moment we found ourselves stranded in the heart of Germany due to unexpected weather conditions, AVIS came to our rescue. After deciding to fly back to Edinburgh via London Stanstead, we were in dire need of a vehicle to complete our journey. The AVIS employee at the London office went above and beyond to assist us, showing genuine empathy and understanding for the unforeseen expenses we had encountered. Their exceptional customer service truly made a difference during our time of need. Upon arriving in Edinburgh, we were greeted by another friendly AVIS employee who made the rental process a breeze.
