Jul 22,2024Overall, we had a positive experience with the movers we worked with in our recent move. Everyone was punctual, friendly and very helpful! The only issue we experience was some minor damages to some of our smaller pieces of furniture, likely from it being packed in the truck. I would use more protective coverings on more of our furniture in a future move to help prevent some of this.

Jul 19,2024I recently moved from California to New Mexico and used Bellhop's packing and moving services. The teams on both ends were friendly and on time. But the packing team in Northern California got bored about half way through and started just cramming things in boxes without wrapping. Several ceramic pieces arrived broken in many pieces and picture frames were scuffed. I wouldn't use them again.

Jul 19,2024Moving was a disaster. I had a team scheduled for Saturday morning and only 1 person out of 5 showed up. They had to cancel due to lack of people and it ruined my weekend. I had to be out of my house by Monday so we scrambled to find another company. I unfortunately had to go with bellhop again cause they were the only company available. The new moving team did show up on Sunday however they were only scheduled for 4 hours and they took 8. I spoke to customer service and they are unhelpful. They say they will call back and don't. They were only willing to give me 10% off which is unacceptable. I am still talking to them about getting more of a discount but I have to hound them to get a response. The movers team was ok but the team lead was obviously high and took multiple long breaks through out the day and didn't really help the team. The rest of the movers were ok. Don't use bellhop for moving. Use a more reliable company that actually cares about its customers and doing the right thing.

Jul 10,2024Would have been a 4 or 5 star review but the loaders who packed the truck broke my TV and Bellhop claims was not at all helpful. $1500 worth of damage and I was offered $42. It was frankly insulting. The load also took nearly twice as long as our original quote. I knew it would be a bit of a gamble based on other reviews but it was the cheapest quote we got. I suppose you get what you pay for. I would not recommend using Bellhop for your move unless you're: 1) Willing and able to catalog all your stuff to buy supplementary moving insurance or 2) Not moving anything more valuable than $0.60 a pound

Despite the hot and humid conditions and the large number of boxes and heavy furniture, they maintained great energy and a remarkable attitude throughout the move. They were extremely careful with all my belongings, and their excellent communication made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I couldn't have asked for a better team—superb work ethic and professionalism! Highly recommend Bellhops movers.

Jul 09,2024I don't typically write negative review and don't do so lightly. However, I found my experience with Bellhop difficult. I didn't give them a 1-star review because the team leads who showed up at my houses (we used them for both sides of a move) were knowledgeable, hardworking, and good communicators. Unfortunately, other individuals either couldn't show up or just plain slept in and missed the time window. Having to talk with Bellhop customer service wasn't the best because you wait on hold and they can't make decisions themselves. The independent contractors I worked with also had a similar experience when they try talking with Bellhop corporate. Honestly, this company has some good assets in the independent contractors with whom they work, but the company itself isn't managed that well. If I were a private equity firm, I'd have my eye on them to help turn them around. Because of this, I don't believe they are worth the money.
