I especially appreciated not having to interact with anyone, which made everything feel efficient and smooth. Checking out early in the morning was no issue at all, and the car was in excellent condition. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a convenient and straightforward experience!

Feb 22,2025We've rented from Blue twice now and intend to keep using them in Iceland. Cars themselves have been good (we even got lucky with a nice free upgrade on one of our trips), and the service is great. Nice and friendly/personable, we haven't experienced any surprise upcharges, and at least as of writing they don't expect you to return the car washed (which is nice, as it's quite easy to get dusty/muddy very quickly driving in Iceland). We ran into an issue with one car where we weren't sure if the ABS was working properly, as we had to stop suddenly due to an accident ahead of us on the highway. When we called in, they arranged for us to stop at the closest garage for a check-up - turns out there was nothing wrong with the car (the highway was just quite icy), and there was no cost to us. Really nice to have that peace of mind while driving far out of town! Looking forward to our next trip :)

Feb 21,2025This is my 8th trip to Iceland, and once again, we chose BlueCar without hesitation. Their service is outstanding—pickup and drop-off are incredibly smooth and hassle-free. I've rented cars in many countries, and I always wonder why other companies don’t follow their example. BlueCar makes the whole process effortless, which is why I keep coming back. Feb 21,2025The best car rental in Iceland! Price/performance was by far the best from all the local car rental companies, large variety of vehicles. Possibility to rent without a credit card or any form of prepayments. They also offer a zero liability waiver for a very appealing cost and they don’t freeze any additional safety deposits in addition to the main cost, like many other rental companies do. The pick up and drop off were very quick and easy. I recommend Blue Car Rental to anyone visiting Iceland!

Feb 21,2025Quick check in and great customer service upon arrival. We had a question after getting into the car and it was answered thoroughly and professionally. The car was in great condition and had no faults. All of the amenities listed and paid for were functional and present. The car was perfect for our needs and made traveling during the winter in Iceland feel manageable. The return process was quick and stress free. Definitely recommend using Blue Car Rental even if you haven't before or are used to other car rental companies. It is absolutely comparable to any other highly rated car rental company and a great choice for a car rental in Iceland no matter what time of year you travel.

Feb 21,2025They delivered the truck clean, but not in the best condition technically speaking, the truck vibrated too much and one of the tires had low pressure about 40 minutes after we took it at the airport, going to repair these two things took a lot of time away from our first day. The customer service was always good and they offered to change the car if it continued to vibrate, it was repaired, but we wasted time checking it and wasting time in Iceland is the last thing you want. Make sure you have an Icelandic number with you, so you can call customer service if necessary.
