Our trip was extended and I had to extend our rental, this was easy to do over the phone without issue.

Feb 19,2025We recently had the pleasure of renting a Land Rover Discovery 5 from Blue Car in Iceland for a 7-day adventure this past January, and it was truly an outstanding experience from start to finish! From the moment we made our reservation, the team at Blue Car was professional, responsive, and incredibly accommodating. The booking process was smooth, and they offered excellent customer support, ensuring we were well-prepared for the Icelandic winter conditions. When we arrived to pick up the Land Rover Discovery, we were immediately impressed by the vehicle. It was in pristine condition, both inside and out, and it felt like it had just rolled off the showroom floor. The Discovery was perfect for navigating Iceland's rugged terrain and unpredictable weather, handling everything from icy roads to challenging mountain paths with ease. It was spacious, comfortable, and had all the features needed for a long road trip through such a unique and stunning landscape. Driving around Iceland with the Discovery was a joy. Feb 19,2025Had a great experience with Blue Car Rental! It was reliable and easy pick up and drop off! We rented a Toyota 4 runner and it fit our party of 5 along with all of our luggage! Definitely of visiting Iceland again I will be sure to use blue car rental again!

Feb 19,2025Nice and honest company, took the all-in insurance package and the whole process was covenient and fast. We received an upgrade to a bigger car which was supernice as a group of 4 tall people. The car did have some minor damages but that is to expect from a country with strong wind and (sometimes) unpaved roads. Overall the process was convenient and gave us the peace of mind to focus on exploring which was phenomenal.

Feb 19,2025I have used Blue Car several times, and I really appreciate how quick and easy it is to pick up the car—especially when the contactless option is available. Flights from the U.S. often arrive between 4-6 AM, when not all car rental companies are open, so having this convenience makes a big difference. Another great feature is the online check-in. I dislike when rental companies try to upsell you at the front desk, bombarding you with add-ons when you're exhausted and unsure if you actually need them. They make it seem like if you don’t pay for X, you’ll face a major issue, so you either end up paying for things you don’t need or taking the car feeling uneasy. With Blue Car’s check-in option, you can review everything in detail ahead of time, do your research, and decide what’s really necessary—all before your arrival. Customer service has also been quick and helpful—I sent a few emails with questions, and they responded promptly. Modifying a reservation on the website is also very simple. The tag that they give you for Gas discount in OB is also great! The only thing to note is that contactless pickup is only available if you purchase the full waiver. I assumed it was an option regardless, I usually buy one day that I did it, when I arrived, I had to go through the regular process. It wasn’t a big issue, but I was expecting the faster, easier contactless pickup. Overall, a great experience, and I’ll continue using Blue Car in the future!

Feb 19,2025The moment we saw a video about Blue Car Rental in iceland, we knew that we had to book via them. The entire booking experience was so seamless and amazing. Right from the time we went to their office to collect the keys till the point we dropped it in an automated collection box, we knew we were in safe hands. They not only alarmed us about extreme weather situations and alert, but also reshared our instagram stories and posts, how cool! Thank you so much for making our Iceland trip to phenomenal and worth remembering. Lots of love from India

Feb 19,2025Upgraded on arrival for a very reasonable fee to a slightly bigger car. Very helpful staff at Keflavik who sorted us out. The car itself was perfectly capable with studded tired and four wheel drive. We took the full cover and on having a puncture we called the number on the dashboard and within minutes we were at a local shop having the tyre replaced. Brilliant service will absolutely use blue car again.
