Apr 14,2025Booked minutes before I needed the rental since another company's reservation fell through. I was very grateful they were able to provide me with a car so last minute. The only feedback I have for Blue was that the car was over 1000km overdue for maintenance when I got it, a notification for that would constantly pop up.

Apr 14,2025If you get the full insurance coverage it’s so easy and simple! I’d recommend getting it as the roads in iceland can sometimes have lots of potholes / be quite gritty in places

Apr 14,2025Booking online was clear, easy and fast. Pick up also easy and with friendly knowledgeable staff. We unfortunately got a small dent to our car, the staff checked in a minute that the insurance would cover it.

Apr 14,2025We rented a Dacia Duster (older model), it was one of the most affordable options we found of a 4x4 with full insurance coverage. Walking distance from the airport, we had a self check-in at 2AM, everything was simple and easy. The car was clean and worked well, I was impressed by the ruggedness of the Dacia handling the Icelandic roads in the winter, even with more than 200.000km on the odometer. Plenty of space, ice-ready tyres, confortable, fast enough and fuel-economy of around 7L/100km gasoline (with Auto AWD, pretty frugal for a 4x4). We even got stuck in some snow but Dacia's a beast and got us out with the help of the 4x4, Iceland's wilderness is no joke. Check-out was also quick and easy. We loved Iceland and we loved our car, we got sad when we gave it back because it got us thru everything without complaint, it was part of our journey. In my opinion, 4x4 with full insurance is the best way to travel around Iceland without worrying, and Blue Car Rental was easy and affordable. In the end we got a parking ticket, so be careful parking in Reykjavik's church, we thought it was free, hehe, oops. Still cheaper than a full breakfast for two at the wonderful Brauđ (Icelandic prices are crazy).

Apr 14,2025Myself and my Dad traveled to Iceland for a 4 night 5 day holiday. We rented a Dacia Duster with blue car rental. Our experience with the company has been nothing but positive! - Firstly the prices online were very good and in-line with other competators - Pick up was so EASY. I got given a code to scan - keys popped out of the box and walked around back to find the car. - The car itself in good condition for what we needed (side note it did not come with any phone cables or a phone holder - we did take our own but keep this in mind!) - Discount given for fuel was nice - Easy drop off service We opted for full cover/insurance and this was perfect! No issues at all. Will reccomend to any of my family members and will use again in the future.

Apr 14,2025It was so easy to get our car from the Reykjavik location before office hours. We had all of the info in emails on how to get the key and everything went so smoothly. Returning the car at the airport before office hours was also a breeze. The car was super nice and clean. I couldn’t have asked for a better rental car experience.

Apr 14,2025Only a 5 min walk from the terminal. We had a Suzuki Vitara great little car was lovely and clean when we picked it up and everything was spot on. Very reasonable price and check in and drop off was quick and simple. Will definitely use Blue Car rental again when we visit Iceland in the future

Apr 14,2025Instructions were easy at pick up and drop off. Customer service was top notch. I was able to resolve parking ticket issues pretty promptly. The car was perfect for our 5 Day Rd. trip with no issues and love that we got a discount on select gas stations. Overall, I would recommend to friends and family coming to Iceland looking for a car rental service!

Apr 14,2025Efficient car rental service and very accommodating when we needed an upgrade. My only concern was the car needed maintenance and certain things in the car didn't work like the rear view camera and the front heated seats. Other than that, we had a great experience.

Apr 14,2025We booked a car for 5 days. We send some enquiries before completing the booking and they always answered quickly. It was late at night when we got to the airport and the keycode arrived really early and getting the key was easy. Everything was OK with the car and we had no problem leaving the car when the office was still closed. We will book again if we go back to Iceland.

There was peace of mind throughout the entire trip knowing that the Blue Car rental support team would be available for assistance should anything come up. The pick up and drop off process was seamless, the staff at Blue Car rental were very kind and supportive. This was truly one of the best rental car experiences I have had.
