Apr 14,2025Blue Car is the way to go in Iceland. The rental place is a 5 minute walk from the airport (but also has a shuttle, which says so much about their attention to accessibility). The folks are easy to work with. Check-in and check-out are both quick!

Apr 14,2025I rented a Kia Ceed for four days, and the car was in excellent condition with studded tires. I encountered no issues during the rental period, and both the pick-up and return processes were seamless. Highly recommended!

Apr 14,2025We had a great experience with Blue Car Rental on our recent trip to Iceland. Getting off a red-eye at 6am, we found that getting the car was easy (once we took the bus to the rental office) and quick, and we appreciated the information and resources they gave us regarding safe driving in Iceland and what to do if we had any car trouble or experienced an emergency. Luckily, we didn't, and the car was reliable, well maintained, and drove well even in snow and rain. We purchased the full insurance coverage, and the rental wasn't the cheapest, but we felt going with a reliable local company was worth it for us. Drop off of the car back at the airport was also easy and quick. Highly recommended!

Apr 14,2025The rental service was great. However the shuttle to get to the rental was jam packed. On our way out it was very cold and the shuttle took over 25 minutes to get there. It would be a much better experience if they had more shuttle buses running.

The chairs for my children were there and they were good quality. The drop-off was super simple and fast. The team was very easy to talk to.
