Jan 25,2024i recently took a new policy out with them and they phone back when they say they will which as we all know doesnt happen often. very helpful with and gave clear instructions on the info they needed and how and where to get it from plus they gave a great price almost 40% less than the competition

Jan 08,2024Will try to keep this as brief as possible, Most reviews on here are for how cheap or how well a company did setting up a policy, proper reviews are how well they did if a problem occurs, well BCD are the worst by far in over 22 years of having commercial insurance, this was a renewal (thats important) i renewed 24th October with them, what followed was horrendous, email after email asking for information (though they didnt say what), found out it was for licence checks so sent the info four times (emails to prove) and still got harrasing emails, eventually I got through to someone who sorted it out (or so I thought), I was told to ignor any further emails but guess what....they kept coming but as advised i ignored them, then canx emails started coming so I ignored the first but got another so contacted them around 5th December and they said there was a minor offence on my staff's drivers licence, I knew about this and said that was 18 (EIGHTEEN) months ago so they should have known from the licence check they did from the policy starting the previous year 24/10/2022 and I presumed they had....but NO, they apologised but then the SHOCK, they wanted over (£900) NINE HUNDRED POUNDS more just because of 4 points, basically from £2500 to £3400!!, , i was gobsmacked, i said i needed to think about what to do and they agreed, about an hour later I received an email saying they were cancelling my policy at 5 pm that day!!!!, I tried to get through but queues were that long I gave up, I had no option at all but to find another policy, after two hours of looking I managed to get a policy through Swift Cover because we had a job the following day (brilliant and also a LOT cheaper), I called BCD a couple of days later to obtain my proof of no claims bonus for my new company, they REFUSED because there ware canx charges of £650.00 (you could not make this up) it was THEM that cancelled the policy on ME!! also, they can't withhold it as proof of no claims bonus belongs to the policyholder and has nothing to do with money, it was just plain spiteful, also part of the charges were for breakdown cover which they said ceased when they cancelled the policy anyway, (still trying to keep this brief lol) anyway from 5th December to 4th January a lot of phone calls were made but I got nowhere with them so I contacted swift cover to help and Ann-Marie was brilliant, contacted BCD and they had no option but to confirm, in hindsight, i wish I had done it earlier but was hoping BCD would see sense, everything is fine now thanks to swift cover but BCD have caused my weeks of frustrating phone calls and a mountain of stress, their customer service is absolute ZERO and on occasions were very rude, never ever known a company this bad, i have recorded calls to prove all of this, DO NOT USE
