I’m disabled - after buying a ticket for City Sightseeing Dublin through Living Social, I’ve been left out of pocket by a service that’s inaccessible and uninformative. After buying the ticket and getting to the bus stop, I find out that there’s no timetable for the buses and no seating at the bus stop. Instead of a timetable, it says ‘once an hour’ - well as a disabled person who can’t stand, I cannot wait for up to an hour for a bus. I crossed the road to the City Sightseeing Kiosk, but there was a sign saying ‘Be back in 15 minutes’ on it. I called City Sightseeing customer service but they were not able to tell me how long the wait for a bus would be either (if I’d been given a time, I could’ve gone and sat elsewhere and waited). This caused a lot of distress as I was struggling to stand (the whole reason why I’d booked a bus tour in the first place was so I could see the city whilst sitting) and felt stranded. I ended up buying a different tour bus service ticket - one with clear directions to their office on their bus stop, one with someone available to talk to about accessibility. It also had live bus tracking. I’ve been trying for over a month to pursue a refund for the city sightseeing ticket and all responses from the brand have been condescending and unreasonable - for example, I’m expected to somehow magically know that the City Sightseeing kiosk I visited was only for boats and that they had a different office in the city. Probably using the same kind of spidery senses that they assume people have for catching the bus. I haven’t used the ticket so there should be no problem giving me a refund. I’ve been clear about where the accessibility issues on this service lie. Under EU law it is discriminatory not to ensure your service is accessible if you run a transport service.
We used the hop on hop off bus in Belfast. We were on the second bus of the day which was quite full when we arrived 10 minutes early. We sat at the back but eventually moved as the engine noise made it hard to hear the tour. We stayed on the whole tour. It wasn't as good as the other tour company in Belfast but the tickets were transferable.

Messina City Tour Völlige Touristenfalle!! Eine Gruppe hat dem Fahrer ein bisschen Geld zugesteckt. Dafür wurden sie exklusiv rumkutschiert und niemand konnte zusteigen. Die 15 € sind völlig überteuert.Die Strecken kann man gut selber laufen und sieht dabei noch mehr. Es gibt keine Schilder an den Haltestellen und die Fahrer halten wo sie wollen.Wenn ein Kreuzfahrtschiff anlegt, gibt es eine Megaschlange und die Busse sind für die Anzahl der zahlenden Gäste viel zu klein. Spart eich das Geld!
Abbiamo preso il citysightseeing Genova alle ore 16 a Principe.La ragazza dei biglietti non ci ha detto a che ora sarebbe finito il servizio e noi abbiamo dato x scontato che come in altre città andasse fino a sera. Ci hanno fatto scendere alla prima fermata perché quel mezzo aveva finito e doveva arrivare un'altro.Aspetta 20 minuti poi saliti per scendere dopo poco alla fermata Boccadasse x visitare.La fermata era lontana dal luogo da vedere, il tempo di arrivarci e poi ritornati alla solita fermata alle 17.30.Aspetta aspetta..guardato sul sito x vedere orari risultato il servizio era già terminato.Quindi dovuti arrangiarci a prendere altri mezzi per tornare indietro.Direi che è stata proprio una disonestà assoluta nel non dirci nel momento in cui saliamo che da lì a poco il servizio finiva.Complimenti.
Oude bussen, grumpy chauffeurs, overvolle bussen waardoor je niet altijd boven kan zitten en dus beneden moet zitten wat op zich geen probleem is als er geen grote stickers op de bus zitten waardoor je nauwelijks iets kan zien. Het was meer een veredelde shuttle service voor cruise passagiers. Je zit als je lang bent bovendien erg krap in een al jaren geleden afschreven bus. Voor mij geen city sightseeing meer!
Wir haben heute zwei Touren in Messina/Sizilien in Kombination genommen, die blaue Linie durch die Stadt und die rote Linie am Meer entlang durch das Umland von Messina. Entgegen der Beschreibung gab es bei der blauen Linien kein "Hopp on, hopp off", sondern nur einen 5 minütigen Fotostopp auf einer Anhöhe. Wer hier erwartet entlang der Route aussteigen zu können, um die Sehenswürdigkeiten in Ruhe anzuschauen, wird enttäuscht. Die noch größere Enttäuschung, für die ich fast das Wort Frechheit verwenden würde, war aber die rote Linie. Es fing damit an, dass uns kurz vor 10 noch gesagt wurde der erste Bus würde um 11 Uhr fahren. Als wir kurz vor 11 Uhr da waren mussten wir feststellen, dass sie sich spontan überlegt haben doch schon um 10:30 zu starten. Das hieß für uns eine halbe Stunde auf den nächsten Bus zu warten. Unser Hauptziel dieser Linie war die zweite Station, der Strand. Hier wollten wir ein bisschen Zeit verbringen, bevor wir wieder zu unserem Schiff zurück mussten. Auf Nachfrage am Startpunkt hieß es, wir würden den Strand in 30 Minuten erreichen. Auch von den offiziellen Karten her schien das zu passen, dort war der Stopp als zweiter auf der Route verzeichnet. Perfekt für uns, dann hätten wir trotz des Zeitverlusts durch die spontan Verschiebung der Abfahrtszeit durch den Anbieter noch etwas Zeit, um dort zu bleiben. Soweit die Theorie. Die Tour ging los und der Strand wurde links liegen gelassen. Unser erster Halt war in der Nähe des letzten Punktes der Route. Richtig gelesen, es war nicht nur die falsche Reihenfolge, sondern es war noch nicht einmal der offizielle Haltepunkt. Dementsprechend gab es auch kein Hopp on hopp off an der Stelle. Der Busfahrer fand die Stelle aber besser und gab uns 5 Minuten für Bilder. Kurz nach der Weiterfahrt hielt er noch einmal, um einen Freund einzusammeln, der dann am Ortseingang von Messina wieder rausgelassen wurde. Auf dem Rückweg kam dann endlich der ursprünglich ersehnte Halt am Strand. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt waren allerdings schon knapp 80 Minuten statt der versprochen 30 Minuten bis zum Strand vergangen. Das Ende der Geschichte war, dass sich ein Aufenthalt am Strand kaum noch gelohnt hat. So erging es noch einigen anderen im Bus. Dazu kam auch noch die Unsicherheit, ob man sich angesichts dieser unprofessionell durchgeführten Tour überhaupt darauf verlassen kann, zu den angegebenen Zeiten wieder in einen Folgebus einsteigen zu können. Niemand hat den Bus verlassen, obwohl da noch einige andere enttäuschte Menschen mit Strandsachen saßen. Ein klärendes Gespräch vor Ort hat nur ergeben, dass das schon seit Jahren eher die Regel als die Ausnahme ist. Die Busfahrer machen letztlich worauf sie Lust haben und nicht unbedingt das, wofür die Kunden Geld bezahlt haben. Von daher kann ich nur davon abraten die Touren mit diesem Anbieter durchzuführen. Spart euch die 20 Euro und den Ärger. Gerade Messina selbst würde sich auch prima zu Fuß erkunden lassen.

Dirty bus, hostes who don't give the right information. First I was told to go to a spot near the Danube where the boat would leave, then I had to walk 20 minutes to find the right dock. I waited up to two hours for the boat to then be told that it would not leave at 9 pm, but the last departure was at 7 pm. Bad customer support, if not nonexistent. Save this 35 € per person and go on foot which is better. Experience never to be repeated in my life. There is a super new boat at the price of 20 € each with a drink included near the jetty of this useless agency.
Terrible customer service. We had planned to use our pre-purchased Hop-on, Hop-off tickets on July 2, 2022. We found out that this was the same day as a large parade which forced the closure of 10 of the bus stops making the tickets pretty much meaningless since we'd only be able to see a small portion of the city. We contacted City Sightseeing by phone and was told that they would reimburse us. We never did receive a reimbursement since we'd gone through Expedia to purchase the tickets. I contacted Expedia and they put me on hold and called City Sightseeing to discuss the reason for the reimbursement request. The Expedia rep came off hold and said that City Sightseeing is not willing to reimburse. I tried this three times and not able to get my money back. Very disappointed!

Extremely disappointed in our experience with City Sightseeing in Warsaw. We visited Warsaw in mid July and purchased their tour online before arriving to the bus stop. A large group of us waited at the first pickup location 45 minutes past when the bus was supposed to arrive. Someone from our group finally got hold of the local office and we were informed that their bus had a flat tire and they would not be showing up for another 45 minutes. No one from the company reached out to us directly to let us know this. As it was ridiculous for us to wait 1.5 hours for a tour bus, we left and I reached out to the corporate office for a refund. It was over 1 month before they finally got back to me saying they would only give us 20% refund. We were told the local office offered us all an extra day for free but we were never contacted by the office to be aware of this. We have been loyal customers of City Sightseeing and have had many good experiences but the response I receive from the corporate office and the difficulty working with them has made us very disappointed in the company. We will not be using them again.
The worst service I ever had !!!! No customer service, meeting point too far away from the touristic objectif !no refund if there is a late time! I ‘ll never take this company again!!!
Purchased Cty Sightseeing for Edinburgh before visiting, but cancelled right after having purchased, as we instead purchased directly with Edinburgh Tour Busses to get our ticket on the app used by the busses. There was an option to cancel, but a policy also stated, that it wasn't possible. So why give the option? Well we did it and ended up with not being able to get a refund, so paid twice for the same tickets. With valid proof of having bought the same service twice, the least would have been to allow a refund.
Virkelig dårlig oplevelse, vi var i Sevilla, og man må vente evigheder, ved hvert stop så konceptet med at hoppe af og på, virker ikke. Skal starte hver 1/2 time, vi ventede, ekstrem lang tid så vi fik ikke set særlig meget. Ente med vi gik rundt i stedet, så spild af penge, og vil faktisk gerne have nogen af mi e penge retur. Samt så har en App, tænker det er super smart så kan man følge når bussen er ved at være der, men den virker heller ikke, nogen gange ser man bussen nogen gange ikke, lige pludselig er der 3 busser, og då er der 2. Kan kun anbefale at i ikke bruger dem.
If there was a minus rating I would have rated as such . Bus always full , not able to sit down to listen to the tour. Also not every 10’ as advertised, rather every 40’. Take the notes mel bus instead.
Gestern Tour in Warschau gehabt, absoluter Reinfall beim ersten Austieg bei der blauen Linie kam um 16:33 kein Bus am Lazienki Park, so dass wir mit den öffentlichen zurückmussten. Die Tonqualität und der Inhalt des Audioguides war grenzwertig. Nie wieder mit diesem Veranstalter
I tried to take this bus in Budapest. Don't waste your money here. Worst experience ever! The bus never stops at the bus stop (tried to stop him at the bus stop 3 times), the last time the driver waved and smiled in mocking way. Disappointing, take your money elsewhere.
Un desastre en Sevilla. Nadie nos avisó que dentro del bus había que llevar mascarilla. Nos vimos obligados a subir arriba, con 39 grados de calor y ni un miserable toldo en el autobús. La parada donde lo cogimos mal señalizada en el mapa que nos dieron. Sin respet de horarios. Mucha musica, pero pocas excplicaciones interesantes d los lugares por los que pasábamos. Más música que información. Realemnte desastroso; para no repetir jamás.

Nov 17,2022Barcelona hop-on hop-off bus tour and guided visit to Sagrada Familia for 3 people: we arrived at Sagrada for the tour and we were not on the list! But no way to fix it, because they hire some other company that hires some independent guides, and the guided tours are limited, so you spend half an hour on phones trying to figure it out, and nothing is done in the end! They had no solution, no idea even, and they ask you to call the other company, it's ridiculous! You only have a few vacation days to spend in a foreign country and midway you have to reschedule everything because they are incompetent and don't care about the clients. They had scheduled us for another tour earlier, but failed to check that when we were not there (because we had tickets for the later tour, no reason to think otherwise) that maybe they had made a mistake. And didn't find another fix, just sent us the money back, and not even a full refund! Outrageous and extremely unprofessional! Barcelona tip: book any tours and visits directly with the places you visit, NEVER with those BS companies like this one that supposedly help you, but actually take your money for doing close to nothing. Never again, and I sincerely hope companies like this disappear quickly and for good!
