As a loyal customer of CPI for many years, I recently moved into a new house in the Charlotte area and contracted with CPI for thousands of dollars of CPI equipment and installations. Since that move 10 months ago, CPI has visited my home over 30 times to fix tech installation and equipment failures. Cameras have been put in upside down, door keypads have lost battery power a few days after installation, door keypads were installed that did not communicate with the main panel, door keypads were installed that were broken.. Door lock notifications have failed, glass break devices have failed, carbon monoxide detectors have failed. Cameras have been put in that continually fail and don't communicate with the main panel and phone app. I recently called CPI, which seems to be several times a month, to report new problems with the CO monitor, a glass break, brand new and installed by CPI, and a non functioning camera, brand new and installed by CPI. This particular camera was first installed upside down and then had to have tech three times to my home to change the wiring as the camera never connected to the panel, and was told I was going to be charged $60 for CPI to send a tech to my home to fix these problems. I am a 75 year old senior who is not tech savvy and was relying on CPI to keep my home and belongings safe. I pay a huge monthly bill, I paid a huge amount to have system installed and updated and now Im going to be charged for CPI shoddy workmanship and equipment? The phone representatives I've spoken to are extremely rude. The last ones were Alex and Touriya who were both so unfriendly and condescending. My advice is buyer beware, CPI is not the same company it used to be. I will be contacting other security companies in the area and getting out of my contract. Glad I only signed a short term contract as of course they pressed me to sign a 10 year contract. I wish I had gone to the BBB and other review sites before I decided to continue with CPI. The reviews are awful.

I love the fact there is an option to text and not have to wait on a person for answers to issues. Just another great reason I have been with CPI for so many years. Who reward you for upgrading! CPI does!

I am new to CPI SECURITY. Getting everything set up and online was easy. Aaron, the technician that came and installed the alarm, was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and friendly, and got the job done quickly. He spent the time to give me a tutorial on how to operate the system, both at home and remotely. Couldn’t recommend them enough.
The installer was polite and cleaned up after installing. He explained how to use the system before leaving.
Cpi is charging me for services I did not receive because we had a house fire and the equipment was destroyed. the fire was out of my control and there was a lot going on trying to get back into a new home. I could not remember to call and cancel service from being suspended. They should have given us some type of grace for forgetting to call and cancel the service.
Got a new front door a few weeks ago. The sensor is till in place but I need a new magnet. Asked about getting a new magnet and was told that the whole sensor needs replaced at $50 for the sensor and installation (sensors are less than $10). Doesn’t seem very customer friendly, especially given the importance of the front door.

Our rep, Brandon Cooper ID#6427 was super nice, knew his job well and made sure that I was comfortable using the system before he left. I do not think I have done business with a more helpful and pleasant person. If every one could perform as this gentleman did, the world would for sure be a better place. We were going through trying to move in our new townhome and he was not bothered at all by our situation. Knew immediately what he needed to do to get us set up and did a super job.
