First the technician arrived on time. Second, he explained what he had to install and then together we had a walk through my home looking for the best place to install each piece of equipment. Third, he began his work installing each piece of hardware where he and I had agreed on. Fourth, when he finished, had me down load the apt and explain its function. Fifth, he left the job clean and answered all my questions. So far, I am very satisfied with the results and system

Juan was the Tech who installed all of my upgraded tech! He was very professional and knowledgeable. He even called the next day to schedule my appointment for another item that was not in stock.

The Technician! He explained everything in simple language, so I understood. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, patient, helpful and pointed out things that I had not thought of. He was early to the appointment, with a call first, to see if it would be convenient for me.

I'm an 18 year CPI Customer. I called to have my system converted to cellular (from a landline), and was told that conversion "required" a control pad upgrade with a new 39 month obligation. Long story short, after much discussion with the rep and his supervisor, it became clear that a new control pad was not technically required, and they could do the conversion with no contract. When the service technician arrived, he ended up replacing every part except the control pad and the sensors. This took several hours and had to cost CPI more than simply replacing the control pad. They then had to comeback and fix some things that didn't work with the replaced parts. All of this could have been avoided if they treated long term customers with a modicum of respect instead of with heavy handed sales tactics. I will be shopping for another provider, even if I have to sign up for a contract. To CPI: Your reply to this review says you would be happpy to have someone reach out to me regarding my concern. I asked for a garage door keypad and instead received something that can only be worked by an app. Neither the salesman or the tech explained that I would not get a keypad to control the garage doors by punching in a code. Plus I was charged extra to get a mesh extender to make the system operate. I didn't ask for a system controlled by an app. At least when I complained the cost of the extender was reduced by 50%. The driveway camera was picking up every car that went by on the street and had to be adjusted by a second technician. The lights on it were not working properly when the tech left and a screw cover fell off the next day. The original technician did not consult me on the placement of the mesh extender. I am very unhappy that it is sitting on the floor in a guest bedroom where it can't be hidden. I thought it was going into the adjacent attic room. And did not go upstairs until after the second technician was here so this has not been corrected. The main panel was installed in the owner's bedroom overlooking the bed which was entirely inappropriate. Both the salesman and technician said it was a good location. The salesman never showed me the unit so I had no idea that it was a screen with a camera, not just a keypad like the one it replaced. Also it looked directly into bright windows so the image of the admin was backlit to the point that the image was almost impossible to see without using the app and dramatically turning up the contrast. The second technician corrected all the initial errors taking a lot more time than he was scheduled for so I am thankful he was so concerned about getting things moved and working properly

My tech was unable to activate 2 zones and charged me for 5 wireless window contacts ($265). The tech had no answer as to why these two zones didn't work and the others did.
