I would not recommend anyone to deal with this security company. Not only does the security system have problems but this company has unprofessional business practices. Recently I had CPI security system installed for both my home and office and I regret my decisions. I will start with the most important issue with my home security system. I was given a quote for the security system which also included 4 cameras and monitoring fee included $20 for monitoring of 4 cameras. When a technician came to our house, he found out that our Internet was not strong enough to work with cameras. Therefore, cameras were not installed, which I understand. I asked my sales rep Mr Galo (Raleigh office) to remove the price of camera from the total price and $20 from monthly monitoring. He told me that it would be done but on January 20, I was charged based on the original quote which included price and monitoring of camera. I again contacted Mr. Gallo and expressed my concern. He sent me a message that he has sent information to GM and the bill will be adjusted. Again, on February 20, I was charged the original price. I again contacted Mr. Galo on March 14, 2025, and expressed my concern and frustration. He again told me that he spoke to his GM, and it will be taken care of. He told me that someone from billing will contact him. I waited for 1 week and no one called me and finally I called customer service on March 20, 2025, and wanted to speak to the owner of the company. I was told that I cannot speak to the owner, or the CEO and I could only talk to customer service. I again narrated the whole story to customer service rep Yhana. She put me on hold for about 45 minutes and told me that she has spoken to the billing department, they are making adjustment and someone will call me. Again no one called me and on March 24, I found out that they again withdrew the original price amount. I had no other option to narrate my story on the Internet to make the public aware of the practices of this company. If any other business finds out that they are overcharging by an error, they will immediately refund money and make adjustment. Since customer cannot speak to administration, therefore there is no accountability of employees. During installation for both places there were multiple discrepancies between what sales rep Mr. Galo told us and what actually happened. For the home system, the technician asked me to pay an extra $500 because the sales rep had not included all the sensors. It appears that rep intentionally did not include all sensors to keep the price lower so that I could agree on the quote. For our office initially he mentioned that fire alarms will be included but when actual system was installed there were no fire alarms. The salesperson told us that for fire alarms we will have to contact another company. I also want to make the public aware that this security system does not have any alarm. In case someone breaks in, the panel only gives a beeping sound but no alarm. Also, their sensors are very loosely attached, and they have already started falling in my office. I would not recommend anyone to deal with this company. Khalid Aziz Bunnlevel, North Carolina
He said he was going to fix my problem
Jason was freaking awesome. Super helpful. Why can’t all service companies just solve the problem for the customers like Jason just did, thank you!!
Josh, was very helpful and walked me through options. As a long time customer it was great to have someone that respected our business and worked with me on timing of some replacement equipment that was important to me and my family. He’s a a real value add. Thank you again.
We had a wonderful experience with Richard! Was very thorough and made sure we understood how to use the system. He was also very patient when we got stuck in traffic and was a little late for our appointment. Working with CPI has been very easy from the start!
Was able to resolve my issue as well as answer several other questions I had
Very customer oriented. Tech called to let us know he was about 15 minutes away...perfect. Did a nice walk-through, checked the system thoroughly. And, calling in with questions/help....really good!
Super professional! Jason handled all of my questions & concerns!
First of all, Jason was very pleasant, listened to my description of the problem and instantly made me feel confident he would solve the issue. He was the 3rd person I had dealt with about this problem and the only one that helped me. He was patient which allowed me to see what I was doing in order to fix the issue. If CPI is going to require customers to have to provide their own technical service at least provide competent customer service agents. Jason is awesome. Please have him train others on customer service. I am completely satisfied with the support he provided today.
Jason was able to correct my CPI Security Panel immediately. He was great
Excellent customer service! Thank you!
Great service from installer. Very thorough
Customer service is lacking. Installer not knowledgeable.
The tech was VERY NICE! His input and knowledge was exceptional. A family member has a health issue, and he reported that to the security team-I had not thought to do so. He thoroughly checked every device and made sure I understood the system. I received superior service, and I glad I had the opportunity to meet him. Thank you CPI!
CPI was perfect. Our installation guy was extremely knowledgeable and nice. Your people that called me and harassed me on the phone the day before you were scheduled even though I had confirmed our appointment about 4x, was horrible. What idiots. They tried to cancel my set up. Told me they had to run my credit again. And put me on hold for over 5 minutes when I asked for a supervisor.
Need more folks like Jason. His customer service acccumen is exceptional.
Jason was patient and very helpful. I felt like a valued customer. It is a refreshing customer service experience to be treated with both respect and courtesy. This experience makes me even more loyal to CPI!
We have been a CPI customer since 2008, and moved the alarm system with us twice due to the 100% reliability of being able to capture alerts & videos.Have had neighbors/friends/posts on NextDoor app mention that their Ring camera's battery ran out and of course this coincided w/ a porch pirate stealing packages or a break-in or even worse. For me, I can not take that chance. The alarm service, along with the excellent team of technicians & cust srvc agents that have helped me maintain my service in EXCELLENT condition, are worth the cost. It's far too many team members to name, but in February/March 2025 alone, I've had 2 super smart technicians David and Cody!! Both fantastic but the highest exclamations to Shanna T who figured out an issue with the alarm that's installed in my back door. The door is dead bolted but was either constantly setting off the alarm and many times registering the door as not closed (when it was definitely closed!).She figured this out over the phone with her great troubleshooting skills and expertise in listening. She also did something no one had done before & that was to do a video conversation to get to the root of the issue. It worked! Please give Shanna tons of KUDOS today & give her a copy of this letter for performance appraisal purposes. She literally did everything humanely possible to help me. Thank you Shanna, David and Cody. You're the best of the best!
Signing up for CPI service was a terrible experience and not easy. Every time I thought signing up was complete, i received calls and or emails asking me to sign something new or asking for new information. Carlton Dupree was good and trying to do what he could to maintain me as a customer, and Jose (the installer) was good. But everyone else was terrible, including Jalesia, the person Jose connected me with to finalize installation. He heard her demonstrate an awful attitude to me when I asked questions to her. Seriously, I’m evaluating other alarm companies after my year with CPI because of your poor customer service. Just awful. Terrible. Horrible.
