He really knows what he is talking about, totally impartial and answers all your questions with good recommendations to rectify the issues with damp that our property suffers with. So now I have a report to show builders what needs fixing and not just throwing money at the wrong things all the time. Would definitely recommend.

We had previously received conflicting info from a separate ‘free’ report which was just trying to sell stuff, so definitely worth having an independent report like this for reliable guidance.

Dec 16,2023They were quick to respond to my initial enquiry, then carried out the survey really promptly, then explained the issues on the phone which was really useful, ahead of receiving the report. The report has recommendations for builders to fix the issues which is useful too, to ensure the correct repairs are done.

Nov 30,2023Thank goodness for Damp Detectives! Hurrah, an independent set of specialists who aren't trying to sell you a solution and therefore you get an honest opinion. Scott was super. He was extremely responsive initially and in the weeks following the survey. He was willing to talk on the phone as well as exchange emails in response to any queries I had. Scott carried out a thorough investigation during his visit and then was able to relay the issues causing my damp in easy to understand language! He was a real pleasure and clearly very knowledgeable in his field. I couldn't recommend these guys highly enough.

I’d had a few building companies around who all told me that I had major damp issues and needed extensive treatment and tried to sell me very expensive treatments. I thought as a last throw of the dice i’d contact damp detectives and I’m so glad I did as Paul gave a thorough and honest assessment and confirmed that I didn’t have major damp issues and that only minor treatments were needed to resolve the issues. Nov 23,2023We are in the process of buying a property and were advised by our surveyor to get an independent damp survey conducted. Damp detectives were brilliant. We dealt with Tim who was really friendly, knowledgeable and quick at responding to our query. He contacted us following the survey to highlight the main points and we were happy to find out the issue identified was moisture not damp. Tim did find more than our house surveyor did but this was actually a good thing as he explained how these issues could be managed easily and put our minds at rest. The written report was very clear and the photos provided helped a lot. Overall great experience and Tim made the whole process swift and easy. Thanks Tim!
