I bought an extended warranty for a Maserati when I took it to the shop. They denied my claim understood so when I called and II bought an extended warranty for a Maserati when I took it to the shop. They denied my claim understood so when I called and I wanted to cancel the extended warranty and get my money back, they refused to give my money back and they canceled the warranty, but they refused to give me my money back. I’ve never used it, this way it was my first time trying and just food for thought don’t go with them because they’re just gonna keep your money if you cancel They called and rectified the situation Ok an up date on this F-en company I cancelled my warranty which this come does not give you the warranty they are a broker for the warranty I have had I cancelled my coverage and what did they do they took yet another 174 dollars out of my account then when I called in, they said it has not been canceled. It was canceled today at six which that’s wrong because I called yesterday and the guy told me it said it was canceled and the computer so therefore nobody knows what the f$!k is going on in that company so my words to you is never ever trust this company because all they going to do is broker your warranty and then they’re going to charge you more for the warranty than what they’re buying it for.

Initial Experience: My initial dealings with Empire Auto and Head Start Warranty were satisfactory, with prompt communication and the approval of a smaller claim. However, my experience has since drastically changed. I am now facing significant issues with two separate policies, both of which have involved the denial of larger, more substantial claims. These actions have prompted me to escalate the matter to the State Insurance Commissioner and Attorney General, who are now investigating potential violations of consumer rights and fraudulent practices. Policy One: I initiated my policy in March 2024. Shortly thereafter, I contacted Empire Auto to correct an estimated mileage I had provided at the time of purchase. I was not near the vehicle when I initially gave the mileage, so I contacted the company to update it. This correction was acknowledged by Empire Auto, and my fuel pump claim was subsequently approved. However, when I submitted an engine repair claim shortly afterward, it was denied. I was informed that the policy should have never been issued due to a mileage discrepancy, despite my earlier correction. Empire Auto then suggested I cancel the current policy and move to a sister company that handles vehicles with higher mileage. They further recommended I wait 30 days to refile the engine claim under the new policy. This appears to be an attempt to manipulate me into committing insurance fraud, as I have this conversation documented on a recorded call. Policy Two: In a separate instance involving my second policy for my Ram 1500, I experienced a similar issue. After the fuel pump claim was approved, it was discovered that the vehicle required additional engine repairs. However, Empire Auto has since denied the engine claim, citing an inability to verify prior service records. These records were provided by a licensed and insured mom-and-pop service location that has maintained my vehicle for the past four years. Despite supplying the required documentation to both the warranty company and Empire Auto, they continue to claim the service records are unverifiable due to the size and nature of the service location. These actions clearly demonstrate a pattern of fraudulent practices, bad faith, and violation of consumer rights. Additionally, it has been noted by Preston Auto that they will no longer accept any policies from Empire Auto moving forward, due to the ongoing claim issues they have encountered with this company. Conclusion: Based on my experience, I strongly advise consumers to avoid Empire Auto and Head Start Warranty. Their actions reflect an intentional disregard for consumer protection laws and their failure to act in good faith. If you value transparency, fairness, and integrity, seek other warranty providers. -Keira D
