The positive reviews for Empire Auto Protect are lies. This company is unscrupulous. I cancelled my policy and they stole money from my account. I am a senior citizen living on a fixed income and could decided I could not afford the policy after one month. I called 3 times and was told not to worry the policy was cancelled. On 1/12/2025 they took money from my account. Please do not deal with this company. If they took money from a senior citizen with cancer what are the chances they will fix your car?

I’ve always relied on my Ford F-150 for both work and leisure, but recently, the engine started making strange noises. I called Empire Auto Protect, and they immediately sent me to a trusted repair center. They covered the entire engine repair under my warranty, and now my truck runs smoothly again. The process was seamless, and their customer service was outstanding. Definitely worth the investment!

My 2020 Honda Civic had an AC system failure just as summer hit, and I didn’t know how I would afford the repair. Thankfully, I had Empire Auto Protect’s extended warranty, and they took care of everything. The repair was done quickly, and I haven’t had any issues since. They made sure I had a rental car while the work was being done. Excellent service all around
I was having serious transmission issues with my 2019 Toyota Camry, and I was worried about the cost of repairs. Empire Auto Protect came to my rescue with their comprehensive warranty plan. After contacting them, they quickly approved the repair at a local shop, and my car was fixed in no time. The transmission is running like new, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, I GOT A CALL AFTER LEAVING MY REVIEW SAYING THEY WERE NOW GOING TO CANCEL MY POLICY THAT I HAD A YEAR LEFT ON AND KEEP MY MONEY - Jake and Eric are rude and unprofessional and do not tell the truth when they initially sell you a policy . We paid over $9000 for a policy for our Aston Martin and was told that we could cancel at any time and we get our money back minus the amount of our claims. Eric called us a month ago to see if we wanted to renew. We told him that we did not. He told me the amount of money we would be getting back which was almost $4000. Minus a cancellation fee. Now calling him back in January and he tells me that that is not the case that they are going to keep my money for me and that I should feel bad for taking advantage of them when they are the ones that mislead me from the start - he continued to yell at me and over talk to me, not allowing me to plead my case do not buy from this company
He was very professional and polite. He may have been a little deception. The final price is different from what he explained.

I had purchased a policy over the phone through a chucklehead named Jeff, Come to find out you pretty much.Get the same person on the phone sales ,management or even Customer service same idiot.... I paid two thousand dollars for a policy on my ram truck Traded that truck in four months after purchasing Policy. Call them up They wanted to transfer it to the new truck.I paused told him I would call them back..... Got around to calling them back.Just wanted to cancel it.They told me I couldn't... Here comes a good stuff... Empires, just a broker.They do not Handle extended warranty, The people who hold my policy.I contacted them, Check this out.These thieves that Empire told the warranty company.I lived in Nevada just to take my money.I've been in san diego california all my life.. They cannot sell people in California.A policy over the phone.. Empire sold me a Fraudulent Policy .They take the money.They tell the people lies after lies just to take their commission money, This is not the first review I've written.They reached out and called me.After the last one I posted they told me they're giving me my money back if I took it down, So I did... Guess what people not a dime . We called back same run around we have contacted BBB AND Insurance commissioner, We have a case number.We are letting them handle this.. The only good reviews are the ones that these idiots write themselves.. If you want to see the real empire reviews check bbb and all the other hundreds of thousands of people that have been Scammed , They will say anything to get your credit card number.. No customer service. Hell They are not even a real business...
I purchased an extended warranty for my BMW through Empire Auto Protect. They told me when I purchased it that I would be covered for everything in full with a $100 deductible. They also explained to me that I can bring the car to any certified mechanic or to BMW. On December 13th I had some issues with my car and brought it to my local mechanic. They contacted Empire but we're immediately transferred to a company called HeadStart Warranty which is the claim adjusters for Empire. We were given the runaround for 13 days. Finally they agreed to pay $1,800 out of a possible $3,500. They would only authorize parts that you would buy on the internet and not BMW factory parts. When I called Empire to discuss this, they told me that they are only the broker and they are not responsible and blamed Headstart. When I called Headstart they said they are only the claim adjusters and that I was obviously misled when I purchased the contract through Empire. Headstart ultimately approved $1,800 and I had to pay $1,700 out of pocket. Today I called to cancel the policy and Empire explained to me that if I cancel they will charge me the $1,800 that they just paid. They explained that the only way I won't be responsible for that $1,800 is if I continue to pay for the policy for the next 22 months at the rate of $155 per month. They told me I cannot cancel unless I repay the claim they just partially covered. I have never heard of doing business like this in my life. This is a very bad company and I am in the process now of considering my options. If anybody has any thoughts about getting involved with Empire Auto protect I strongly suggest you don't do that. Empire did write me back yesterday to tell me that I had only signed up on November 30th, which was totally incorrect. I had been a member of Empire Auto protect for a while. The sales rep decided it was in my best interest to upgrade me to a better policy and he changed it on October 30th of 2024. There was no lapse in coverage and I was not a new member on November 30th as you stated.
This is the WORST excuse of a company I have ever dealt with. They have a paper trail miles long of denied claims, avoiding customers, avoiding car repair dealers. Their BBB rating along is riddled with complaints of bad bad service. I am working with an attorney to locate all of the complaints to file a class action. RUN DONT WALK FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

STAY AWAY. This outfit is super shady. As soon as payment was made over the phone when signing up for a policy, I received an email that was blocked by Gmail because it came through from an email spoofer. Not from a trusted alias. This made me suspicious. This initial email was supposed to contain an onboarding packet/explanation of coverage, but did not. I attempted to email the (likely fake) email address in the email and never got a response. After reading terrible reviews on the BBB and several other sources, everything in the reviews was lining right up. I had originally spoken with aa rep who went by one of the handful of names you can find in the hundreds of other bad reviews. After taking payment, this rep was MIA and unable to be reached. Once the red flags were raised, I called to cancel. I was transferred to an extension that did not exist, so I called back. Again I was transferred to an invalid extension. I called a 3rd time and was told that "the department that takes cancellation is likely out to lunch and that is why they didn't pick up"....but, the extension was INVALID, so this was obviously a lie. I was told to call back in an hour. I did, then was told by Customer Service that management was going to reach out to me. Of course, nobody reached out. What I ended up doing was going to my bank and stopping payment and disputing based on being unable to make contact with Empire and cancel for refund, which they had stated was a no questions part of the deal for the first 30 days. The next day, for peace of mind, I called Empire to make sure they would cancel my policy. Immediately upon answering, I was greeted by a very rude and overly patronizing person on the other end of the line. The tone was extremely unprofessional and they did confirm that I had been cancelled already because I disputed. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. If you do, and you are not proactive about taking care of yourself, you will end up getting screwed, just like the hundred and hundreds of bad reviews say you will.

If she did not understand something, she sent it over to a manager to be sure that everything is understandable for the customer and she understands people situations and she listens and she's a very hard worker and a good person.
