Pre booked and paid for a taxi. When it didn't arrive we phoned them only to be told noone was dispatched. That the location was remote and drivers don't like picking up the job. Then don't take the booking! An hour late, someone finally came. I'm giving stars as the driver was pleasant.

Had a wait and return and my partner left his phone in the taxi and the lovely driver went out of his way to bring it back to us. Really appreciate it

Absolute disgrace. Broken foot, prebooked a taxi to collect from college and my 7 year old from school. Called at the time was supposed to arrive told no cars available, 30-45 mins. DISGUSTING SERVICE.

Terrible experience. I booked a taxi and pre paid for it over 24 hours in advance. It was supposed to arrive at 11.30pm. At 11.53pm I received an alert to say they’d cancelled my pre paid booking. On calling to enquire why it has been cancelled and to ask for my money back, the phone operators were rude and un helpful. They couldn’t understand my concerns when I explained that I was now stranded 25 miles from home at midnight and they had taken £37 of my money for a service that was never provided… They hung up the phone on me several times. Eventually I was assured I’d get my money back in 5-7 days time! We’ll see…

Do not rely on this company. I was supposed to be going on a coach holiday today, however, the wheelchair accessible car that was booked weeks in advance didn't turn up. No apology, just told that the driver wasn't answering his phone and they didn't have another car available. I'm now £2000 out of pocket

Took a taxi to hospital and back. I booked on the app and paid by Airpay. Checked bank account and noticed I was charged twice for my journey there and twice for my journey back.

Completely useless, these morons have bought out every firm in Oswestry and they do an awful job. I booked a taxi several days in advanced and they cancelled 5 minutes before we were due to be picked up, leaving myself, my fiancé and our friends to walk 5 miles home in the rain, along dark country roads. I can not express how much I hate this company, for putting out all the small businesses and not even being able to fulfil their duty. I will never be using them again.

What an absolute shower of s##t this lot are. This the second time that these useless b#####ds have left my family & friends stranded. I drive an HGV & have to make allowances for their inconsiderate & incompetent drivers. They have the monopoly on Telford & anyone that opens against them get swallowed up. This means they can treat their customers like sh##e & get away with it. We were at a wedding in Telford, yesterday & 4 parties of the guests were left stranded, after pre booking. this has happened to my family before in Shrewsbury. All they got back was attitude, even though it was Go Carz [spits] fault...... Utterly useless company

I would just like to say how disappointed I was with the service. The driver was over 40 minutes late. There was no contact letting us know this would be the case even though you have a track my car app and I was ringing which no one was answering. When he picked us up he wasn’t apologetic and in fact quite rude. We live in a very rural location where the postcode covers a wide radius and the Satnav is not to be relied on. It took a lot of persuasion for him to follow our directions rather than the satnav otherwise he was quite happy to leave us miles away (we actually saved him miles and time going to our actual house). And finally we asked if we could drop someone off on the way (he had to go less than 1 minute off the main road) but refused and instead stopped in the middle of a main road and let them walk across, hardly safe or responsible behaviour! To be honest we were recommended this service and it completely ruined the end of our night. And to top it off I got told we would be charged extra if we were late! In my opinion this is not a safe or reliable service!

Useless company. If want to get a taxi from Ironbridge forget these jokers. The drivers can pick and choose the jobs they do and because of this (and the controller told me over the phone ) they don’t like to take jobs in ironbridge because it’s to difficult to get there. On numerous occasions we have been left waiting even when they are pre booked. My advice to them would be allocate the jobs out rather than letting the drivers choose the ones they want to do. The last time this happened was at 14:00 so not a busy time I wouldn’t have thought but still no driver picked up the job. We had to call a relative in the end to fetch us. They have the monopoly and no competition so this is what it has come to. Years ago there was a choice of firms and they were more reliable. But not anymore.

Absolutely zero F***s given! Zero customer care or service. Driver was pleasant enough, but if you leave anything in the cab by accident, expect never to see it again! Called numerous times to be fobbed off with none sense about why they couldn’t (or plain wouldn’t) contact the driver… I have never come across a more ‘we really don’t give a toss’ attitude. IF AT ALL POSSIBLE AVOID AVOID AVOID GOCARZ… it’s the only way to get rid of this exploitative company and get some decent taxis back in Shrewsbury.

I booked a taxi at around 2:30 at night, when i got in the car the phone said i would be charged 7.70, but when i payed i had to pay 8.30. Make sure that you say what the amount says when you get into the taxi as i got charged extra for no reason. I phoned up and they said i got charged 8.20. First bad experience ive had as they misled me with a price I didn’t know i was paying

Let down by this terrible company for the 4th and very last time. Car arrived over 30 minutes late, and only then because I d had strong words with the dispatcher on the phone. Driver was morose, charged me £6 more than the agreed price and moaned because I wouldn't tip him. Never using them again unless absolutely desperate. Will complain to the Local Authority licensing dept as soon as they reopen after the Bank Holiday because they have a dubious monopoly around here now. AWFUL SERVICE from an AWFUL COMPANY.

There's a reason I only use this company as an absolute LAST resort- besides them being the only company available because they've somehow managed to monopolise the taxi companies which is supposed to be illegal. Last night my partner and I booked a taxi from newport to dawley, the driver in question seemed alright at first but then he started tatting around on his phone (no surprise there) and when I politely asked to not do that unless the vehicle is stopped he made rude remarks and pointed out "I've been doing this job for 30 years" So 30 years taxi experience puts you above the law, giving you the right to put our lives at risk does it? Your job does not supersede the law and basic common sense. Eyes on the road, hands on the wheel. It's that simple. Can't stand this company and they don't care because all their drivers are self employed so they don't have to accept any form of liability.

I spoke to a member of Shrewsbury Council, Public Transport Licensing Department about Gocars letting customers down on a regular basis and was informed that complaints in Shrewsbury for Gocars must be lodged at the Shrewsbury council to make any difference. As Gocars hold the monopoly of taxis in Shrewsbury now there aren’t many alternatives apart from taxis outside the station. She said they’ve had no complaints so far well that’s because no one knows who to complain to! As far as they see it there are no issues. Reading these reviews there clearly are issues of unreliability and disrespect for the customers who serve them. Do not use this company. We had booked a taxi for 1.30am after a wedding. At 2am, I phoned them to check where the taxi was and was told that the booking did not exist! We were completely stranded as all other taxi companies were fully booked at this time. This happened to several other people at the wedding, including a couple who had pre paid! The bar staff at the venue ended up driving people home and luckily some other people offered us a lift in their taxi (at 3.30am). Absolutely disgusting behaviour and would rate 0 stars if possible.

Absolutely terrible would never recommend pre booked a taxi at 10.00 lastnight arrived and no phone call or text to say they would be late rang and lady on phone said no sorry no one’s available till 10.30pm onwards I said no I pre booked my taxi I am waiting crap service absolutely disgusting 🤮 I then could not get a taxi home till 11am onwards of another firm because it was Oswestry balloon festival imagine if that was a young person 16-17 waiting for your service that never arrives shocking 0 stars ⭐️

OH MY GOD!!!! I never write reviews but have to share this!!!!! So my daughter and I (her Mom) Booked a taxi for 12.05 to go home. At 12.10 we had a message…… A2B/GoCarz - It's VERY BUSY in your area. We are running a little behind. We are prioritising your booking & will have a car with you soon, Sorry for the delay! By 12.30 it still hadn’t arrived leaving us stranded at the venue which had now closed… Seeing another car at a location opposite, I asked if he could call them, as they weren’t picking up the phone, to be told I needed to use the website!!!!!! A very kind gentleman said we could share his taxi as he was going to lawley, not too far from where we were going. The kind gentleman gave £30 to the taxi driver and said that should cover it, I asked several times for the correct price for the journey with the two stops (as I knew from living in the area it would NEVER cost £30 to get to where he wanted to go, even with the additional stop), the driver was not going to give that information and repeated he is happy to take £30. This is money that has gone directly into his pocket ( off the record) (not taxable) absolutely shocking!!!!!!! I then received a call at 12.35 to say my taxi was outside,I explained that we had started waking and the driver replied, “keep on walking”. What has the world come to that a grown man can say to two women to keep walking!!!! Disgusting company, leaves ladies stranded and rinsing people when they do turn up. I’m sure not all Drivers are like this but seriously?!?!?! Disgusting behaviour. You should be ashamed.

Absolutely horrendous and rude! Booked a taxi for 12:05am, didn’t turn up until 12:38am, thankfully a kind gentleman offered to share his taxi with us and helped us to get home, and even he was over charged, they over charged him by £15 at least! Once we arrived home our actual taxi called and we said we had walked instead (as originally i had began to walk home and got half way) and he said “keep on walking” (phone number was left as unknown or else i’d post it, coward) and hung up! Ever so rude, this is why taxis have a bad name and I refuse to step foot in them.
