We look after the legal side of residential property sales, purchases and remortgage. We act for corporate clients, 'High Street' Lenders and individuals wishing to change their mortgage product from one brand to another.
We are based in Maidenhead but provide services to customers and clients nationwide. We are available for personal meetings with our local clients and available on the phone for our clients who are based elsewhere in the country.
Do not use! Senior case handlers don’t know there jobs, and on day of completion miss important steps that could of been done weeks before, so pushed back completion even further, baring in mind it has been going on nearly 7 months!
Sammy was fantastic every step of the way. Always replied to any of my questions and made the experience stressfree
A very patient case worker, Umayr. If I needed any help or support he was always available via telephone or email.
We were referred by our Mortgage Broker and the service we received by our assigned case handler Zeba Khan was excellent. The correspondence was great, and my emails were answered by return . The process was smooth and I would definitely recommend and use Gordon’s property lawyers again especially with Zebra Khan.
"Gordons Property Lawyers" and was incredibly impressed by the outstanding service I received from [Roopa Vij]. Roopa was very knowledgeable about the Remortgage and other services, patiently answered all my questions, and made sure I found exactly what I needed. The entire experience was seamless and enjoyable, and I will definitely recommend to friend.
Fantastic service from start to finish very quick completion. Responded to messages promptly. Easy to use online service Thankyou
Brilliant service from Umayr yet again! If you want a quick and friendly service, Umayr is fabulous.
Georgia Davies was great. The whole process was quick and efficient! Thank you very much
I am a mortgage broker, but on this occasion was the customer for my remortgage. Sammy Elsheikh was incredible from start to finish. He was responsive and informative. I would recommend Gordon’s, but more importantly trust Sammy to carry out work on behalf of myself and my brokerage too.
Zeba has been amazingly helpful from the start. She was very knowledgeable and patient guiding me through the process of a transfer of equity and I am particularly grateful for the guidance when it transpired, we needed to add in an unexpected deed of variation. I really appreciate all of her help. It made a stressful process much less stressful 😊 Thank you!
Just bought our first home and have been really impressed by the service we have received by Gordon’s Property Lawyers. Hajra kept us well informed, guided us through each stage and was incredibly friendly whenever we spoke on the phone. Made the whole experience pain free!
Our case handler was clear with what we needed to do throughout the process and what was requested by our lender. They kept us up to date with status at all times and always responded to my enquiries. The process was quick and efficient.
Very process driven without anyone making sensible human decisiions, leading to unnecessary delays. Would not use if I had the choice (the were my bank's lawyers on a simple remortgage).
Efficient, timely responses, good communication all handled by Sammy Elsheikh.
Efficient, simple and pleasant to deal with. Zeba was a pleasure to deal with and kept us fully up to date during the process. Issues were dealt with quickly and overall was a very good customer experience!
Easy and efficient process. Would use again.
The transaction took 10 months to complete most of which was taken to evict a tenant from one of my properties as required by the lender. Then the lender requested too many searches which took even longer; but this was outside the solicitor's control. The best part was that they charged me less than the £330 estimate in fees; so, I'll be using them again.
Based on a recommendation we were assigned GPL to remortgage our house at the end of a fixed term. We had a deadline for completion several months ahead (December) so that we didn't switch to the much higher variable rate. This was made clear to them from the beginning (September). You would think 3 months is plenty of time for a simple remortgage. Unfortunately, poor communication, very slow responses to emails (never spoke to our case handler once despite calling them and requesting call back), missing critical information we'd already sent previously, and asking for critical information literally days before the deadline (i.e. new mortgage offer which they had months to say they hadn't received) ultimately cost us several hundred pounds due to missing the deadline and causing us to defer to the variable rate of the existing mortgage. I sent a formal complaint 2 weeks ago with no response or even confirmation of receipt. The next step will be legal ombudsman. Please save yourself unnecessary worry, stress, and lost time and potentially lost money by avoiding GPL!
Beware! They will claim not to have received documents to delay your case. Ignore your e-mails Don't tell you they need more info on a document until you call the office 36 days later. They will switch solicitors in charge of your case midway through so that you can't prove who mishandled the case. And pull out after nearly 5 months just before exchange of contacts stating that they can no longer act on your behalf because they are not insured for the buildings safety act. Incompetent or dishonest? Gross negligence or gross misconduct? Instruct this cowboy outfit at your own risk. P.S they even refused to pass my case file onto a new solicitor.

Mar 01,2025What can I say nothing but a fantastic experience dealing with Umayr from Gordon’s Property Lawyers. He was very receptive, communicative and most importantly very prompt with anything I had ever asked. I am from the hospitality and manage a group of hotels and the service I received from Umayr was nothing short of excellence. He managed to complete two remortgages of mine in under three weeks and this is a testimony to his hardwork, dedication and understanding of deadlines. I had to complete the remortgages by the end of Feb 2025 and he did so seemlessly. I would certainly not hesitate to use them again.
