Jan 09,2019Last week I bought Condenser Dryer by Siemens. Actually, it was a present from my parents to us for a Christmas. We visit HT in Monks Cross in York. Tammy provide us great service, with all information which we wanted to know. And with better price! She even organised transport for the next day for our special request! And two nice guys came on time as well. Perfect service, was pleasure to leave money there. Highly recommend!

The delivery of the new fridge, along with the removal of the old one all went very smoothly and efficiently very quickly and promptly with 'old school' service and assistance with the change over and installation of the new appliance so refreshing. I would recommend Herbert Todd without hesitation.

Dec 03,2018My parents have used Herbert Todd for many years and as they got older I believed that some of the items purchased were totally unnecessary as a repair would do, and as elderly people they were being up-sold, so I decided to accompany my elderly mother when buying a washing machine. The person was most helpful despite my reservations and although talked her into a washer dryer actually did so for a very valid reason which I had not thought of . They brought the machine fitted it and took away the old one. She has since rung and ordered a new freezer which was delivered the same day and all the goods transferred from the old one. It had a problem where the drawers would not go back in once opened and they again they came out to see the problem, swapped it and transferred the goods. After the service given to my mother I decided to eat humble pie and go to the new showroom for a dishwasher. The staff couldn't be more helpful and knowledgeable. They didn't rush up to talk you into a sale like in other stores, but kept quietly in the background but were attentive when needed. Some people have thought this is poor salesmanship but I prefer that to being pestered as soon as you walk in the door and think it is professional and courteous to give you space to look around first. If I need any more electrical appliances I would not hesitate to make Herbert Todd my first port of call. They are competitive but still have the values of a traditional store. I have had a complete about turn and would highly recommend from showroom to delivery

Nov 29,2018We've used Herbert Todd for many years, and have had washing machines, tumble driers and kitchen equipment from them at a fair price and installed as agreed. Installation quality has always been excellent. We recently purchased a new induction hob to replace a broken one (purchased elsewhere), and got a good price on an ex-display model. Installation involved enlarging the hole in the counter, so Todd's arranged a joiner and installer to attend. Both arrived in the time slot agreed, and carried out their work in a friendly, clean and efficient manner. Removed the old unit. Thoroughly recommended.

Nov 19,2018I am extremely pleased with the service I received from the staff at Herbert Todd. My integrated washer broke down and they were able to supply and fit and take my old one away. Having being widowed recently it was so nice to have this problem handled for me at a competitive price. Phil the installer was patient and competent and the delivery team were very pleasant and efficient. All in all this was a great customer experience for me. Everything delivered on time - well done to all.

Nov 03,2018Very efficient from ordering to delivery, no delays, only real annoyance was that I had paid extra to have the freezer installed - which the 2 delivery men did - but after they had gone I noticed that they had not removed the sticky tape that keeps the grill at the back sturdy which meant that I had to wait until family could come round to lift the freezer out in order to be able to remove the tape at both sides.

Oct 30,2018Visited the Acomb store last week to purchase a new washing machine, when entering the store I was poorly greeted by a lady who just seemed to not want me in the store from the get go, I had to go upto her to ask a few questions about the range of products that you have to offer and again didn’t seem very knowledgeable nor interested in my custom!, eventually as I was about to walk out Dan came over asking if everything was ok, I explained what had happened and he was more than happy to help me as I have very little knowledge of applicances and he explained which products would be best for me and made a few recommendations. In the end thanks to this gentleman I walked away a happy customer. I just strongly believe the other members of staff perhaps require training on products and customer service skills!!! Otherwise fantastic staff and products.

Oct 18,2018Bought v expensive £2k fridge from Harrogate store, had delivered. Was fault tried to return ended up as a 3-week nightmare. Herbert Todd declared nothing to do with them returns, go deal with the supplier yourself, they pretended they would sort but nothing happened. Spent weeks on phone to the supplier to get fridge taken away, which supplier did eventually. Then the supplier said they don't refund money go back to Herbert Todd. Went back into the shop and demanded my money which they then gave. Terrible customer service, don't trust this shop or retailer at all!

Oct 10,2018Really excellent from placing the order to delivery. Dean & Tammy arrived right on time and were so considerate. I felt confident with Dean's plumbing skills. The hose was a little too short so he made adjustments to make it safe. He was concerned he didn't scuff the lino & took steps to protect it. Very impressive. One wash load done tonight & another still washing 😀

Jan 17,2019My husband and I visited the showroom with the intention of buying a soundbar. We had already purchased a soundbar elsewhere but feared it would not connect to our elderly tv, so planned to return that and buy a Panasonic soundbar from Herbert Todd. Mason and his colleague spent a great deal of time checking the soundbar and reassured us that it would work. The only item we needed was a connecting cable. They spend an hour helping us and the only item we purchased was a £9.99 cable. I received a phone call the following day to check that the cable was correct and that the soundbar was working satisfactorily. The service was absolutely outstanding, and we have no reservations in recommending them
