Sep 22,2018Great shop with honest and useful advice. I spent a few months going backwards and forwards and they were very patient! Eventually bought quite a few appliences with them and so far very happy. Thanks again Adam, sure we'll be back for that TV one day!

Sep 06,2018Ordered online using discount code only to be called the next day to say the offer was not on both items purchased. Told they would only honour the discount on 1 of them but had to be collected from the York store that day even though the website said free local delivery.not sure how many people who get called at 9.30 am can make a trip like that when at work at such short notice. After exchanging a few emails they said they could not sell the other item at a loss. This was a kettle and a toaster not a Ferrari so you would have thought they would honour their mistake ??? Only just had the refund today a week after they took my money !!!!! Would never buy from them again as there are better online retailers out there with better websites and are true to their word. Not sure one of those companies would have done this but tried to support a local business !!!!

Aug 06,2018This is a really fantastic local shop with a great range of goods and very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient staff. We dealt with Adam when buying a new hob, oven and fridge/freezer and he couldn't have been more helpful. Adam even organised a colour swatch for me so that we could paint our kitchen the same colour as the new fridge! Plus it was the exactly same price as buying online - just better in every single way. We bought a new washing machine from Herbert Todd's a little while ago when our old one packed up. I went straight round there, and in just under 2 hours from the old machine expiring, I'd chosen a new model and they had delivered and installed it and it was running its first wash cycle. Just fantastic service - and great to be supporting local businesses too.
