The surveyor,James Lavender, quickly and thoroughly assessed the roof problem and gave a really helpful explanation of how best to solve the problem ,including photos of the effected areas , saving us time and money and worry . It's good to have such high quality advice . Thanks again James !

Broadly, my experience was good if at times frustrating. The insurance company uses Home Repair Network to organise repairs etc. In turn, HRN has to engage one or more sub-contractors locally based to undertake the work to be done. I was annoyed when I was asked repeatedly to pay the policy excess before having been told what if any repairs (or their nature) would be made, or when. The key person (John Arundale) at HRN was helpful and understanding, explaining the situation well. As HRN was unable to complete the restitution of some damage, since they did have anyone on their list of companies in NI to do the work, I was left facing incomplete repairs. When I tried the insurance company again, they were unresponsive to several emails, eventually informing me that my case was closed, before the completion of the outstanding repair work! Eventually, John at HRN came back on the scene and they agreed that I could source my own tradesman to finish some decorating, for which I was then reimbursed promptly with a cash settlement.

My claim for a roller shutter was dealt with incredibly quickly. We suffered an attempted burglary during the day by masked men who attempted to ram the shutter open causing a fair amount of damage. Within 12 hours of the claim being submitted, the claims assessor was appointed and once the quote was submitted, approved within 24 hours. Everything was made clear to me so this is a big positive to come out of a very unnerving and frightening situation.

Andy my claims handler was excellent, very professional and very patient. This was a complicated claim as the Property was listed and rather than replace the damaged front door which would have been the easy option we had to repair it which required listed building consent. Thank you Andy and your team for all your help in processing this claim
