Dec 04,2024I purchased a 5 x 10 premium marquee for a family event. We constructed it as per the instructions with plenty of help from family members. A few hours later we found that the roof had collapsed and the poles had bent. We contacted the company to complain and for a refund which they refused and said that we had put it up in bad winds. There was a light breeze the day it was constructed and collapsed. The marquee was not fit for purpose and wish we had never purchased it as was a waste of money!

Will see if these are correct as the parts box was damaged as the initial delivery. They called after my negative review, i tried several times to call back but constantly on the phone. Nov 29,2024I purchased a House of Tents 6 x 12 premium marquee at a cost of £715.50, it was only up two days and the full thing is all bent and buckled due to a breeze despite all the supplied pegs and guy ropes being used. I ordered the replacement poles to make it usable again at the cost of £320.10. Worth saying at this point that there was a part missing. Erected the damn thing again, this time it was up for 5 days then we got a bit of snow, this was its death blow, it completely imploded. I wrote a review on here from a link on their site giving it one star, that seems to have gone missing, however it did earn me a call from service agent from the company in Germany. She told me that basically it was my own fault for not taking it down, her advise was that you use it and take it down immediately, even if that is at 3am! As they are not designed to be left up for any length of time (not specified how long). She then asked what she could do to make this negative review go away, she offered replacement parts at a discount, or a more professional grade marquee at a discount almost equivalent to their Black Friday discount, no consideration of the £1,035.60 I have already paid. They just wanted more money. She then said I should have bought a tie down kit, quite how a tie down kit would stop the roof collapsing I'm not sure. Then it was suggested I buy the ground frame for it, as somehow she felt that would have prevented all of this from happening. My suggestion would be to steer clear of these premium priced, made in China, imported into Germany, then imported into the UK so called quality tents, marquees, gazebos or anything else they offer.

Nov 22,2024I purchased a large marquee from House of Tents in September, in preparation for a garden party for my wife's birthday. The price was reasonable enough and plenty of information on the site to enable me to make an informed decision. I did a lot of research and House of Tents seemed to be the most reputable supplier. The courier/delivery had some issues whereby it was delivered on the wrong date and then the package had some damage. However, I reached out the customer service team who quickly resolved the issue and also provided some compensation for the troubles. I then also had a pole which was bent, and after alerting customer service, again they acted very quickly and dispatched a replacement straight away. I rarely do reviews but this company and the customer service team deserve it. Great quality products, albeit questionable courier, but in any case the customer service will help sort it out quickly. 10/10 would buy from them again.

Nov 20,2024I purchased a gazebo and due to windy weather it bent one of the poles, so i contacted the company via email and within a few minutes i received a phone call. The person was very helpful with the query i had and offered to replace the pole as a good will gesture.

We have been using houseoftents fir almost 4 years and they get used alot as I work for a TV company and parts get broken alot but it's no problem we just replace the part and it's like a new again.

Nov 12,2024This company is fantsatic. We are a community group who purchased a 7x10m marquee and, later, the storage bags to go with it. The process of purchase was simple and we received excellent communication throughout the whole expereince. The quality of the products is excellent. They deliver exactly when they say they will and follow up after every purchase. We had a tiny issue with one item and this was speedily rectified by the customer service team. It is so good to know that excellence in customer service and care still exists. Thank you!

Nov 09,2024The marquee was delivered with pieces missing which we reported by phone as soon as we realised, nobody got back to us initially meaning we were unable to use the marquee for our wedding as planned! Eventually when we made contact via email we were told we would have to wait several weeks for the replacement parts and that we reported the missing parts too late to receive a refund! We actually reported it well within the 30 day period but no one got back to us ! Edit - 23/11/24 Still haven’t been contacted but not surprised as they don’t know which order this relates to !

Oct 24,2024I ordered a gazebo from you for a family gathering but only half the order turned up.It took nearly two weeks to get the rest of the order only to find out 2 parts were damaged inside the box.By the time the damaged parts were replaced the weather had turned with high winds and rain so now it will have to be stored until next year.I just hope nothing else is damaged because until it is built we will not know.I recommend you get a new courier for your deliveries because this company is responsible for all your problems with damaged goods.
