I ordered to Small Marquees totalling £600 for an event/ sale! I was told delivery would be yesterday 16th - then it was delayed and now NOTHING! No response to emails, message on FB and no one answers the phones! Despite a UK website this is a German based company and very difficult to get any answers/ information from! Desperately poor customer service!
It was a good experience ordering at this page. My delivery came to the right and promised time. I've ordered an Garden Gazebo which is really good looking in my garden. Thank you and see you hopefully next time! :-)
Really disappointed with the service (total lack of) and indeed the product as the canopy doesn't even fit the overall frame correctly. Some poles came damaged too which after some work I managed to reshape to make work as we had a deadline to hit for an event. After raising this with the company and tried to phone, ZERO response.
I purchased a 6 mtr x 4 mtr tent for a registered charity in June. It finally arrived on the fourth occasion they told me it would with the packaging very badly damaged. I photographed the boxes whilst still in the UPS truck and sent copies to the house of tents. When we came to assemble the tent on the 6th of August for use as an area to accept and quarantine donations three sections of the framework were missing. In spite of e-mails and telephone calls to the UK and Germany we are still awaiting the items needed to fully assemble the tent. The company is completely inept and has no conception of customer service. I appear to have purchased a large quantity of canvas and steel tubing, that is useless, except as a windbreak. My original final sentence has been subject to censorship, so let's use the phrase about being unable to arrange a party in a place that makes beer.
I almost didn't buy this because of the bad reviews but it was the only gazebo I could find that I liked the look of so decided to give it a chance. And, I am very happy with the result. I had a lot of questions and the customer support people answered them all. The gazebo arrived on time. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow and we now have somewhere in our garden where we can sit with our friends and family even if it rains. We are shielding and can't leave the house until there is a vaccine so this was very important to us. The quality isn't amazing but the price wasn't either and it will do the job. Spent the afternoon putting it up and the evening toasting ourselves for how clever we were to put it up...while it rained! Thanks so much. Knowing we can see our children even if it rains matters so much and this gazebo makes it possible. Not the review you would get in normal times, but these aren't normal times.
Do Not Use them. Bought a £250 10x3m gazeebo 2 weeks ago. They took my money. No receipt. No order confirmation. No gazeebo delivered.
Bought a premium gazebo, was late arriving and unable to track the delivery, instructions said erect in 30 minutes took over 2 hours. Reported small hole in side walls - tried to call many times but no answer, only answer phone after long waits. Sent emails via their online message system - no reply to date. Product is good quality and expensive but after sales service and contact is absolutely appalling, If you buy one of their products just hoed arrives on timed you do not need anything else. Easy enough to purchase, but thereafter service is non existent -
Reading the reviews after placing an order I was extremely nervous, but must say the communications, delivery, construction, quality of product, aesthetics and deconstruction was first class. I ordered a 10x3m marquee for a small wedding party and with a little bit of imagination imagination with lights, flowers and decorations, the marquee looked amazing and received a number of compliments. The instructions albeit in German, were relatively straight forward and where common sense was applied enabled us to construct the marquee relatively quickly; the hardest and most fiddly part was the roof. After reading the reviews I did try and contact the company using the 0118 number, of which I was successful, had a really good conversation with customer services and everything they said happened. I immediately had an order confirmation, shortly followed by an email containing a link to UPS. Regular updates followed as well as text messages notifying me of the progress. Delivery was as instructed by UPS and delivered to a remote part of the country. My overall thoughts are mixed mainly because of their previous reviews. Maybe I was lucky maybe I wasn’t. Logistics over the last 6 months has been very difficult for a number of companies, but with my experience I cannot complain and exceeded the expectations I had post reading reviews. The marquee really did make the wedding party, providing us enough space and cover for a socially distant party. Thank you.
Ordered their basic 3m x 6m party marquee for a very small wedding celebration but, after ordering, was very apprehensive after reading some of your reviews. The marquee arrived in around 3 days with courier updates and proved to be ideal for our needs. It was easy to put up and is robust with good materials and workmanship. Would definitely recommend them.
The tent arrived in reasonable time. However the construction was really difficult and time consuming, nothing like the 2 man 2 hours, more like 2 man 2 days! We finally finished it but now after only a month one of the curtain zips is faulty and won’t open. The number you can call either cut you off or say that you are calling outside working house when you are not. I would be very cautious before purchasing
Please do not use this company. I too purchased a 3m x 6m pop gazebo that arrived within two days to the UK but badly damaged and unable to use. The top posts were all bent and the middle leg snapped. Shame as the product would have been great. I emailed with photos on the day of delivery and have emailed several times and still no response. When you try phoning you simply get through to a full mailbox message. Shocking customer service.
I placed an order, the item wasn’t in stock. Therefore they emailed me straight away and gave me a full refund and apologised. A great company
If I could give a minus rating I would. Like everyone else no response to emails and phone messages. Cancelled my order with them on 4th June as they couldn’t deliver in time and bought one locally. I gave an email from them confirming cancellation and promised refund. They sent out a gazebo on 13th July despite the order being cancelled now they won’t refund until they get the goods back but they still haven’t sent a return label and they still have my money from 30th May. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Wish I had read the reviews first. Do not use this company.
Ordered a Marquee about a month ago, all seemed well but carrier damaged and lost some parts, not House of Tents fault but it was their carrier. Had an email reply saying they would sort it out 4 weeks ago but then nothing, they won't answer or return calls or emails so have put purchase into dispute with card company. ****************************************************************** They have now sorted their service department, and parts receive. Marquee is good quality.
The quality of the gazebo is extremely good, it arrived slightly later than planned (3 days) but all parts were there and it took the exact amount of time and people that was suggested on the website. It is of high quality, and the additional straps worked very well in a recent storm of 40mph winds that have lasted for the last 2 days.
Gazebo arrived on schedule. Canopy had damage, sides missing window toggle. Reported this to the company via their contact form, several days later received confirmation of my submission... nothing since three weeks on despite chasing twice. I truly wish I could give a better rating but customer service matters. I am just sorry I made a follow up order. I would advise that folks avoid for now.
Ordered a 6x3m blue pop-up-gazebo. Delivery period was very good. Easy to build and delighted with weight and quality of the product. Love it!
Product arrived damaged. Been trying to contact for over a week to resolve issues. Aftersales service is non existent. Won't reply to emails. Don't answer the phone and not ability to leave voicemail. Bought this for my wedding and can't use it. Waste of time and money. Full refund requested.

Oct 12,2020This is a terrible company to deal with, it’s really not worth it for the cheap tat they sell. Ordered a marquee which arrived in good time. However quality of poles were terrible and damaged in a number of places, galv was really poor quality and looked like it had been used before. Like other comments here they don’t respond to email or phone messages, it took many attempts to get someone to enable me to send it back. Getting your money repaid is another matter (nearly three months since delivery), to date not had any notification of goods returned or when they will pay me back. Last Hope is credit card company will recover money otherwise doubt I will see anything! +++++++++ Update - after many months I got my money back not from the company who hung up when you asked for the money back but through a cash recall via my credit card company
