Nov 24,2021No problems with payouts on valid claims but then premium rockets for the following year and remains high thereafter. It's feeling more like a loan than an insurance policy! In reply to response: blah blah blah. Just the usual Corporate Waffle that means absolutely nothing. Facts: premiums started reasonable. Made a claim (accident not long term disease) and premium rocketed next year. Came down a bit following year but still twice original premium. Made another small claim (claw extraction) and now premiums have rocketed again. Just admit that you hike premiums to recover claims! We're not stupid and can all see that's what really happens. As to your waffle, instead of hiking costs for pet owners you should be putting pressure on vets to charge more reasonable fees. £300 to remove a mostly detached claw is ludicrous!

Nov 24,2021Very helpful telephone conversation - professional and clearly explained points. My dealings with InsureYourPaws have all been positive and I have recommended them to friends. However, they are by no means the most economic - premiums only ever go up and pet insurance seems to go up in larger chunks than any other type of insurance. You can’t help feeling that you are being taken advantage of!

Oct 22,2021I can’t believe how long it takes to deal with a routine claim. I have been with this company for years with no claims until the last 2 years. I have a dog with an on-going condition requiring daily medication. It’s the 3rd claim I’ve had to put in. The first one was really slow. They wanted to get the entire medical history down to every single detail over her whole life in minute detail. Fair enough I thought but once this was done, I was told it would be quicker in future. That is not the case. You have to pay the vets, get them to fill in the claim form and send it off, then wait, and wait, and wait! They acknowledged it on 1/10/21, I chased on 14/10, I just had a reply today (22nd) to the chase (that they say takes 3 working days to respond to) saying all paperwork had been received so it would be another 3-5 weeks before a decision can be made. It’s really poor customer service. It’s a repeat of a previous claim for the exact same medication, it simply shouldn’t take 6-8 weeks. I like their ads and the company ethos but it’s not a cheap policy and I feel prospective customers should be aware of this kind of delay which is not a normal turnaround time for insurance claims.

Found this pet Insurance whilst doing a comparison against my present pet insurer and found that Insure YourPaws offered me a lifetime policy with far better coverage than my present insurer! All at a much lower cost! Very straight forward and simple procedure to finalise coverage and def would highly recommend.
