My personal views on JLA, let’s start with the good bits… they respond to emails quickly and they’re efficient at reminding you of their extensive (and very small print) terms and conditions. Honestly the worst company i’ve ever dealt with and there’s no way of leaving an 8 year contract early… even asked if we can pay the remaining rental payments to get rid and never have the displeasure of dealing with them again but that’s not allowed either. It really is like a marriage from hell. They have great sales teams who will sell their 5/8 year contracts well but please read the T’s & C’s carefully before signing if renting a washer/dryer… a particular one being that if you don’t give notice at least 6 months (!) before your contract ends then you automatically roll onto a 12 month extended agreement with them!
Although I was waiting for 5 hours with my laundry trapped in a broken washing machine, when the engineer arrived, she was both friendly and very efficient.
The engineers are lovely, timely and efficient - know their job, keep me updated as to what's happening. Very professional

In period between Christmas and new year when it is difficult to get anything done, called, got reply, told engineer on way, engineer arrived and fixed problem all within 2 hours. Thank You

the service engineer did a good job and knew his way around the machines . Explained any faults he found and left the work area clean .
So far we have received prompt customer service on every problem we had with our washing machine or tumble. The technician has been cooperative and actively listen to the staff.
They are very professional and explain things so its easy to understand.

We lease a drier and a washing machine from JLA at our care home, the washer broke down 4 weeks ago but we are still waiting for it to be fixed/replaced, they will not ring us back or reply to emails. We are a care home full of incontinent residents. being without a washing machine is costing us a small fortune. We used to own our own but they sold us leasing saying it was peace of mind as it would get repaired or replaced if it ever went wrong. waiting 4 weeks and counting is not at all a good service
Nothing but shocking service. Slapped “corrective action required” labels all over their own extinguishers half way through a 5 year rental agreement then had the cheek to send me a service sheet with forged “client signature” and a bill for the privilege. Later collected said extinguishers at the end of the contract but did not tell us when they would be collected, again forged a “client signature” and sent us another bill for £168 for collection which is not detailed anywhere in the rental contract and was never agreed to.
They respond very quickly to email and calls. They send in someone to rectify fault as soon as possible. They are accessible, I do not need to go through our repair team to raise the fault which takes time.

Hi we had Nicole in to fix a hose at the back which had come loose, water was leaking out onto the floor. She went the extra mile for us, not only fixed the issue but also managed to get the machine back into position - it's awkwardly located in a fire cupboard with broken floor tiles under the machine. It took a while but she managed to reposition the tiles so the machine could get back into place. Really friendly and very focused on getting everything sorted for us. Job number 63009450

Jan 23,2024Unfortunately one of the worst companies I've dealt. An extreme organisation and lack of communication has led to me being without a glass washer for 7 plus months. I've been trying to sort since the beginning but they are impossible to deal with. They sign you up to high length contracts and the machine will constantly break down. All while they will bill you the entire time. The only saving grace is the engineers who are really helpful Edit. after months of crap leaving a one-star review is the only way to get things done! and even after a few weeks since the review it reached some progress it is still left un dealt with.
