Feb 19,2023I went with my husband on Thursday to try out tricycles with the aim of buying one. He had a particular model in mind but changed that after discussion and explanation with Diana. She was brilliant showing real understanding and sympathy with his situation ( he'd broken a hip falling off his bicycle and is recovering well). At 85 his balance is not as good as it once was. Diana was extremely knowledgeable and her explanations were clear and helpful. She helped him with good advice trying out two tricycles and just briefly sitting on the third in the showroom which was easily dismissed. He has made the purchase and is very excited at the short delivery time. Altogether it was a brilliantly successful session with a very friendly and helpful assistant whom he trusted totally.

Feb 14,2023I have just received my JORVIK JET-E. I've only had a couple of short rides so far (not ridden a bike for years) I absolutely love it. I had to wait quite a while from ordering to delivery because of the colour I wanted. They kept me notified every step of the way and because of having to wait a little longer than expected they gave me a couple of accessories free of charge. My experience with purchasing from Jorvik Tricycles was a pleasure and would definitely recommend 100%. And a big thankyou to Diana for keeping me posted.

Feb 03,2023My name is John, I am 74 years old, I have arthritis in my knees, back, shoulders and neck and am 17 st. I have been getting around on a mobility scooter. However, while looking through You tube I found videos featuring Trikes. I decided to do some research on different Trikes and after several phone calls to different companies, the most honest and reliable company, in my opinion, was Jorvik . I decided to do a 600 mile round trip to York so I booked an appointment to visit their showroom. My wife and I made this into a short break away and enjoyed exploring York and other places on the way there and on the way back. At Jorvik s showroom we met a very nice and knowledgable young lady who showed me all the various models of Trikes and their prices. I tried out several different Trikes,I asked a lot of technical questions and the young Lady answered everything I needed to know. I made my mind up there and then and I ordered a JMT 13 Trike. Not long after that I had it delivered to my door and assembly was not a problem. I could not wait to get on the Trike but the welsh weather was against me. It took a week for the weather to improve, I was a bit over enthusiastic to get out on it and so I went for a long journey when I should have taken their advice to do short journeys in a quiet area, as I soon found out there is a new style of riding a Trike. Within a week I had overcome that. One particular journey I do frequently, is from my house to the coast which is a 20 mile round trip. As I have become more used to the Trike and its controls I decided to put the Trike to the test. Although the Trike has twin batteries I was only using one so that I could measure the mileage and distance for the journey, this worked out on a 20 mile trip, that I was using 60% of one battery. The road I was travelling along has hills which are quite steep, anything from 2.5 - 3 miles long. I was using maximum power assist on most of the hills, although it got me there, (it would not have been a problem for a fitter man) at age 74 I found it quite tiring. Once again I did more research. And decided to change from a 40 tooth drive sprocket to a 30 tooth drive sprocket, this was done all at my own expense. After visiting a reputable Bicycle shop, for the new sprocket, chain and labour the cost came to about £62.00. Going back on the same 20 mile journey, still running on a single battery, although I went into 1st gear on the steepest point there was no need for me to go above 3rd level power assist. The ride was a lot more pleasurable. After completing the ride I compared my battery levels and timings. Timewise, there was hardly any difference, with the 40 tooth drive sprocket I was using 60% battery, with the 30 tooth drive sprocket I used 40% of the battery. This means that I now have a lot more distance left in the Trike. Although this means the top speed of the Trike has been reduced, my pulling power has increased considerably. On the old sprocket I did not do the top speed anyway, so I haven’t lost anything by changing the sprocket. In my opinion the conversion was well worth it, the journey was more pleasurable on steep hills also it saved battery power. I have rang Jorvik a number of times regarding information on various things, each time I have found the staff courteous and very helpful. If I asked a technical question and they didn’t have the information infront of them, they would call me back later on that day. I am more than satisfied with the Trike and the service I have received from Jorvik . I would recommend the company and the Trike, 5 stars for the team at Jorvik and 5 stars for the product and after sales support. Thank you very much Jorvik .

Jan 20,2023I have had 2 electric trykes before, I won't name them but they were both cheaper (by quite alot) but they are both rusting in my garden. I can't even give them away and as soon as I had problems I couldn't get anyone on the phone. Jorvik have been the opposite (so far!) Very helpfull staff espcially on the chat box ( which are usually so unhelpfull as to be worse than nothing) Bike arrived on time (driver alittle less helpfull, wouldn't help me get it up the kerb so he left it on the pavement, not Jorviksfault) Cant wait to unbox tomorrow and go for a spin.

Her knowledge and the advice we got from her was excellent. Thanks Diana can't wait to get the new trike and ride off into the sunset!

Jan 07,2023Absolutely fantastic meeting Diane from Jorvik tricycles yesterday. My wife received a spinal injury after been thrown off her horse. The consultant suggested amongst other things cycling as a form of therapy. Knowing at present her balance is a little shaky we spoke about a trike. After booking an appointment with Diane we made our way to Yorkshire from the West Midlands. Diane was very informative and knowledgeable about all products on display. The demonstration and the wife’s test drive of one of the trikes was very reassuring. My test drive was just for their entertainment, lol. On returning to the office Diane supplied us with a number of purchase options, we were not pressurised at all in to a purchase and put very much at easy. We did purchase one of the products and would thoroughly recommend the company and products to anyone. Thanks again Diane and Jorvik

Jan 03,2023I have a jmt 7 which I have found to be a very stable ride, the build quality is strong and solid with great rear wheel drive, I have owned two tricycles in the past and this is bye far the best. I have a lung disease and spine injuries however I can ride the tricycle with ease. I am getting exercise and a lot of fun I tow a trailer to go shopping and my little terrier loves riding in the basket. I have had excellent service from jorvik and advice. This is an easy 5 star.

Dec 31,2022Further to my review of 7 Dec 2022, and with a further fortnight in the saddle, I am rapidly becoming used to the satisfaction of owning and riding my Jorvik JET E. The harmony between the trike's gearing, pedalling and the contribution of the remarkably unobtrusive motor, is excellent. Given a reason for choosing a trike, a Jorvik will provide an effective, comfortable and reassuring ride. Physically it has now got to be a trike for me, but I don't feel it is in any way a backward move. Dennis.

Dec 22,2022I could not be happy with the purchasing experience, or the actuality of owning this lovely trike I have a JMT9, which I am using as my day to day transport, and taking away with me when we travel to our house in Italy. The pedal assist means I get a little exercise, while being able to face almost any ride, even when going out with my wife on her mountain bike. I discovered today that it is light enough to lift over any gates that are too narrow to get the wheels through. A great, if not insubstantial, purchase, I am very pleased with it

Nov 24,2022Of the reviews I have already read I have found those written after extensive use to be the most helpful. However I must say that Diana made the choosing of a trike a very cheerful and pleasant experience. She also came readily to our assistance when I found it impossible to remove either battery by sending along, Tash, the company's technician. To cut a long story short let me just say that Tash got the batteries out in no time at all but did agree with us that initially the batteries of this model are seriously tight initially but gradually become easier to remove each time it is done. I also received a great deal of advice from Tash which will be a great help in getting the best out of the Trike. I think it worth adding my own warning to novice riders of trikes to suggest that they go very carefully at first until they get used to navigating any camber on the roads or paths and learning to free wheel round corners or at least flick off the pedal assistance on corners. I am still a novice but that has been my experience so far. Finally, many thanks once again to Diana and Tash for getting this 85 years old codger back on the road again.

Nov 09,2022Having noticed a problem with the gearing, and consulting my local (very good) bike shop in Bedale, I made contact with Jorvik as the trike was still under guarantee. After an initial slight delay with hearing back from the technical team, Diana at Customer Services swiftly dealt with the matter, liaising with the bike shop and being most pro-active. My only frustration was not being able to talk to someone on the phone about things initially, but once Diana was on the case all was resolved. Thank you.

Oct 17,2022I recently imported a Jorvik Mountain Trike JMT 7, and slowly learned to drive the trike under al kind of conditions,on the road, off the road on sandy hilly tracks in the dunes on our Island. I could no longer ride a bicycle savely, but this trike gives me a much wider actieradius. Besides that the bike is well manifactured and sturdy made.
