Feb 27,2024Waiting for over 2 months on my order now. In all time just 2 replies, nobody reachable. At last i got a track and trace, but its for a week now its only electronically assigned to DHL, nothing is actually shipped yet. Please do not order anything here, its a deadsilent company with absolutely NO customer service at all. They will only respond and answer questions as long as you havn't sent your money. After payment, nobody will respond.

Feb 27,2024Great products, but I was worried about their support. But, they have been really responsive. My fan in my UM790 Pro started making weird noises. I reached out to them, and after a few back and forth emails, they sent me a new fan. Great support, awesome products. Will probably buy from again.

Feb 20,2024I had a chronic issue with my UM790 last year with mysterious reboots. After reading active threads on Reddit, I learned my machine was from an early batch that suffered from a memory heating issue. I contacted Customer Support (CS) about the issue, and they verified my problem with their engineering team and agreed it should be replaced. CS contacted me almost immediately, and arranged for my UM790 to be returned. About three weeks later I received a new machine that has been working flawlessly ever since. Minisforum proved to me that they are company that is customer-centric and will respond to legitimate complaints, and customer issues quickly. I have never had a computer company respond so quickly, with a solution that fixed the issue with a new machine. BTW, I have other products from Minisforum that are working fine and am very happy. Thank you Minisforum for acting responsibly when customer issues arise. R. Downs

Feb 20,2024I purchased the Minisforum HX99G to build into a SteamOS console. This little computer rocks. I am able to play pretty much any game I throw at it at anywhere from 30fps+. Starfield cranked wide open I run about 40-50fps. Very happy with this purchase, no issues at all with this computer and will very likely come back to Minisforum for my next console build at upgrade time. =)

Feb 19,2024Minisforum is awesome for offering the boards that they do. I ordered the bd790i and got it quite quickly before Chinese new year. This mobo + cpu combo is very nice and performs beautifully! Very fast!!!!

Feb 19,2024I bought two UM773 Lites for my parents on a great sale. They are traveling in between two locations now and rather than separate computers at each location, they are able to bring these back and forth. For the age of my parents, this would be impossible with any kind of traditional computer. However they are confident enough to know how/where to plug cables back in, and it's been a great experience for them (and me too!) The only moving part is a silent fan, and they're actually fast little computers. I should have bought these earlier instead of building them mini-ITX machines that I constantly had to walk them through basic things. I think the fact that they can take it apart and put it back together makes them much more self-sufficient, and the computer itself doesn't have any issues so long as I keep their browser plugins locked down.

Feb 11,2024I ordered an um790 pro at the start of this year. At the end of January, still no delivery. I could contact them at a sudden moment, and they told me, to change the order to a um780xtx, because it was in stock(in Germany) The 2nd of February, my order was shipped (from Germany) to Belgium. More than ten days later, nothing received. Contact with minisforum is almost impossible these days. They sell to be on vacation... So strange..

Feb 10,2024Bought an UM790 Pro three weeks ago for 844€ on store.minisforum.de. At this point I am not sure whether this website is a scam - I got an initial email that I would be notified if my device was ready to be shipped, but then never heard from them again. I emailed, used the website form, used facebook, but nothing. Cannot recommend this at all and will get in touch with my bank to get my money back. [EDIT] 2024-02-24 Thank you for your response via e-mail, I will update the review once I get the machine. [EDIT] 2024-04-03 Got the machine yesterday, after three months. It is a nice piece of kit and I had no issues installing Debian Testing. Compiles buildroot for Raspberry Pi in <15min. If anything should break, I will update the review.

Feb 08,2024Bought my UM790 Pro from Amazon, it's been 7 months and it has already started randomly switching itself off. It also vibrates heavily when in use and even when it is switched off but still plugged in. I have attempted to contact support with no response, when I emailed them today they got back to me and said they were closed for new year from the 8th of February to the 17th of February. Really frustrating. Disappointed.

Feb 06,2024Very good support for a hassle free refund. I ordered a UM780 XTX and unfortunately had to cancel the order (before it was shipped) due to not having enough funds. They were able to help and process the refund within a short period of time (thank-you Molly). Knowing that they have decent service, I'm keen to make an order with them later on.

Feb 05,2024Habe ein um790 pro direkt über das Lager HK bestellt und was soll ich sagen der Mini PC läuft sehr leise und ist super schnell. Versand vom HK Lager zum DE Lager und dann bis zu mir in genau 23 Tagen. Gerät ist überarbeitet und hat keine Fehler oder Abstürze. Wer es also nicht eilig hat sollte direkt über die minisforum Seite bestellen denn über Amazon scheinen die Geräte nicht aus der offiziellen charge zu sein.

Feb 04,2024I ordered Minisforum UM 790 via Aliexpress Diana EU Mini PC. This is a separate story because the seller is cheating customers. My Minisforum UM 790 after three month start to be loud and the cooling fan is close to the death. I need a new bottom cooling fan. The communication with swrvice department is horrible. To be a happy customer I need a simple new fan which I am able to change myself.

Jan 29,2024I had a 1.5 year old computer fail. After several weeks Minisforum was not able to replace it with same model due to lack of inventory. Minisforum provided two options 1/ refund or 2/ credit towards new machine. Throughout the process, Minisforum was very responsive and respectful of my situation. It was clear that customer satisfaction is very important which is less common today. That said, I think the time to resolve my case was longer than i expected but in the end, i am very satisfied and will continue to purchase their products.

Al principio quedé impresionado con la máquina que compré (Mini PC AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 2500U | 16 GB RAM 512 GB M.2 SSD | Radeon Vega 8 Graphics), y obviamente es fantástica en términos del pequeño espacio que ocupa. También es portátil, aunque sólo lo he movido un par de veces. Sin embargo, tiene dificultades para hacer frente a las tareas de manejo que debería realizar un dispositivo con esta especificación. Después de un par de años (por lo tanto, fuera de garantía), comencé a tener problemas molestos y compré una nueva PC Acer (potente, confiable y mucho mejor), mientras usaba el dispositivo MinisForum como respaldo. Lamentablemente, sin embargo, incluso sin usarlo para muchas tareas, sigue teniendo problemas, incluida una conectividad wifi y bluetooth muy deficiente. Evítalo! I don't write many reviews. However, I feel like I have to speak out about this to prevent other potential buyers from having to endure the same problems I have with this brand. I was initially impressed with the machine I bought (Mini PC AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 2500U | 16 GB RAM 512 GB M.2 SSD | Radeon Vega 8 Graphics), and it's obviously fantastic in terms of the little space it takes up. It's also portable, although I've only moved it a couple of times. However, it struggles to cope with the handling tasks that a device with this specification should perform. After a couple of years (so out of warranty), I started having annoying problems and bought a new Acer PC (powerful, reliable, and much better), while using the MinisForum device as a backup. Unfortunately, however, even without using it for many tasks, it still has issues, including very poor WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Furthermore, even now, the PC is not capable of upgrading to Windows 11, which is inexcusable for a device purchased new less than three years ago. Don't be fooled by the size and specifications of this machine. It's not worth the price and I was very disappointed. Based on my own experiences, I would recommend anyone looking to buy a new PC should avoid this device and instead invest their money in a more well-known and reliable brand, even if you have to pay a little more. ------------------------ UPDATE (February 7th, 2024): Although I have responded to the MinisForum comment below this post (dated January 30th) and provided the company with my details within the required time (purchase number, email, etc), nobody has had the courtesy to reply. Therefore, it would seem that the MinisForum reply is just empty words. This further strengthens my recommendation that consumers should avoid this product and look for a more reliable and professional brand. ------------------------ UPDATE (February 19th, 2024): I have still had no reply from this unprofessional company. Avoid! ------------------------ UPDATE (March 5, 2024): The connectivity problem is now so bad that most of the time, the machine will not connect. It's definitely the machine because my other devices are working and connecting perfectly. I have still had no reply from this extremely unprofessional company. Based on my experience, I would advise anyone who values reliability and good customer service to avoid this dreadful firm.

Jan 27,2024Zu den MiniPCs: Ich habe die UM690(s) MiniPCs sehr zu schätzen gelernt. Sie ersetzen komplette Desktop PCs, sind nur minimal größer als Aschenbecher und verbrauchen auch viel weniger Strom. Bei mir im Haushalt sind 4 Stück im Einsatz (2x UM690 & 2x UM690s). Die UM690 sind jedoch etwas hitzeanfällig, sodass ich eher zur überarbeiteten Version UM690s oder generell zur nächsten Generation (790) raten würde. Zu Minisforum selbst: Man kann viel Geld sparen, wenn man direkt in China beim Hersteller bestellt. Allerdings muss man mit langen Wartezeiten von 4-8 Wochen rechnen. Das ist einfach den Transportwegen geschuldet und gilt auch für den Reklamationsfall. Wenn man damit leben kann und im Reklamationsfall notfalls auch mal 1-2 Monate auf den PC verzichten kann, ist die direkte Bestellung beim Hersteller ok. Sie kümmern sich übrigens auch um alle Zollangelegenheiten. Ich habe alles mal durchgemacht: Die MiniPCs direkt in China bestellt und hatte auch einen Reklamationsfall bei einem UM690. Was hat mir am Reklamationsprozess gefallen? - Der Support war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit - Ich konnte auf Nachfrage als Austauschgerät für den UM690 einen UM690s bekommen (wegen der besseren Kühlung) Was hat mir am Reklamationsprozess nicht gefallen? - Die lange Wartezeit (wusste ich vorher; daher kein Punktabzug) - keine proaktiven Zwischeninfos bei Verzögerungen (man muss nachfragen) Wer mit den langen Wartezeiten nicht leben möchte, findet die Minisforum PCs auch bei Amazon. Dort sind sie etwas teurer als direkt beim Hersteller. Dafür fallen die langen Wartezeiten weg. Fazit: Ich bin mit meinen MiniPCs sehr zufrieden und würde von dem Hersteller bei Bedarf auch wieder bestellen. Allerdings werde ich wahrscheinlich zukünftig eher den Weg über Amazon gehen, um die langen Lieferzeiten zu vermeiden.
