Dieticians are great, resources are fantastic. Your head needs to be willing to participate!
This is a brilliant program - there are no easy answers and yes, you have to be responsible for yourself but at the end of it all, you will have a far better relationship with food and your not so good food habits will either be gone or will be under control.
Katie was always there to give me guidance, answer all my questions and I always felt like she really cared. It is amazing how much I learned from doing this program. It was definitely worth doing.
I have been really so grateful for Alicia, her expertise and insight, encouragement and wisdom. She has been a significantly helpful person to me. I found others there less helpful. Use of the app not especially intuitive.
I've had two coaches during my time with Miyagi, firstly Sanchia and later Georgia. Both have been awesome, supportive, encouraging and both provided ideas and relevant information along the way. My only issue as such (and for many it would be a non-issue) is that it is so heavily based online via app and Facebook page, which doesn't work well for those who limit their online time (outside of work). Emails can be accessed more easily, but I probably missed a lot of the experience because I wasn't involved with the app or Facebook and wasn't really interested in getting so involved online. I found that part of it disappointing, but the direct support from my coaches was excellent.
After losing my initial coach, I was assigned Zeenia to guide me through the remainder of my time. Zeenia was always prompt in answering any questions I sent to her & provided me with wonderful advice & resources. She was extraordinarily patient with me & the issues that I was dealing with. The Miyagi program offers terrific resources to help you make the changes to your lifestyle. One tiny change can make such a difference. I am confident I can continue to make those changes on my own.
I'm happy with the support I've received whilst being on the Miyagi program. My coach Bonnie has given me encouragement and held me to be accountable to stick to the program and eat healthy and exercise. She has also supplied me with information on the right foods to eat to assist with Menopause symptoms. I would say my experience has been successful as I've lost 5kg's so far and feel I have the knowledge and tools to continue my health journey.

Miyagi is a fantastic program. You receive such wonderful, professional support and guidance throughout the program. Great advice and documentation. I have been on the program for almost 3 months now and I feel that by the end of the program I will not only be healthier and lose necessary weight but also be able to either reduce or be able to cease my medications for both diabetes and thyroid issues.
Georgia is a fantastic coach, I am really enjoying the programme and I am looking at my meals and health differently. going to prove to my doctor I can control diabetes with diet and exercise.
This works because it's all about lifestyle awareness, learning to make the best choices about foods, drinks and exercise, and being accountable for those choices.
So far, this journey has been fantastic. It's been difficult for me to make changes in the past but I feel more and more that I'm making progress. I was unsure to start with. Can I really afford this? Probably not but I'm making every cent count. I needed to be accountable and this program is making all the difference. I'm more aware of my actions and my mind and feeling better every day. I'm understanding and managing my menopause symptoms more every day!
I found the fortnightly calls very helpful. My coach gave me great recipes and advice and it was good to know I am getting checked up on (accountable)

Lyndal has been amazing, she has listened to me made suggestions and help me Long the way, I needed feedback to know I'm on the right track, my mindset on healthy eating has improved, and still knowing I can enjoy some foods every now and then and thinking I've blown it and give up.
Now that I have been on this programme for 3 months, I am seeing good results. I can't speak highly enough of the knowledgeable young dietician/ coach, Lyndal who is guiding me through the process. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the original joining up where I felt pushed in to the payment plan without a chance to think about it.

A great program that will be of immense benefit to those who truly have the mindset to want to change their lifestyle eating habits. Make no mistake, you will be doing all the hard work. The staff are efficient, and knowledgeable and take an interest in you, adding helpful hints, support, and tips along the way.
A very comprehensive program that has really helped me on my journey to improve my nutrition and exercise regime. The coaching has been extremely beneficial to me to maintain my course. And the resources are exceptional.

Oct 18,2022When I was signed up I explained what my issues were and that no-one seemed to help. Well, neither did you. Although I had a great dietitian who was lovely and had some great ideas. I didn't lose a pound! I should've trusted my gut and not signed up , such a waste of so much money. Money I could've spent so much wiser. I would NOT recommend this to anyone.
