myenergi is an award-winning British designer and manufacturer of renewable energy products that increase the self-consumption of green energy.
Zappi ran fine for 3.5 years (warranty period is 3 years). Then one day I came to plug it in and the screen was blank. The unit had power, but was dead apart from the LCD's illumination light. I contacted myenergie and got a quick response - but it was in effect a sales call - they had zero interest in helping fix their defective product - they just wanted to sell me another one at a 50% discount. I should just throw the old one away, they said. This is very frustrating and totally different from what I experienced with a different company for a similar piece of kit - they took the unit back, found the problem, replaced the bust part, and had the unit back in service. And their product is still running 12 years after I bought it. Zappi has been bad for my pocket and bad for the environment.
I have had a Zappi now for 5 years and apart from a tethered charging cable fault (which resulted in the cable being replaced under warranty) and recently an issue with the device charging at half rate I have had no adverse issues with the device. On both occasions I have contacted myenergi's tech support team one by phone and once via email. On these occasions I received expert advice and both issues were resolved in quick time. I would recommend this company and the Zappi in particularly and on my latest interaction with the company I would like to thank Russel in particular.
I've had a zappi from myenergi for about 2 years now and it is brilliant. It means i can charge my car overnight on cheap rate electricity and wake up fully charged. Fuelling my car is roughly 5 times cheaper now. Next step is getting a libbi battery and solar.
Quality is fine. It does the Job and works as it should until it doesn't anymore. I will get to that later. Value for money is also fine, but there are better products out there. Now to why i gave 1 Star and why you should avoid buying one of these things: I have my MyEnergy Zappi since 8 month. That thing broke. While yes this can of course happen its in the first 8 month and I expect customer support to be there for me. I called the one that put it there for me (local company). They told me that I should first call myenergy support to tell them the problem. So I did. Myenergy then told me to call the local company again as they are the ones who need to fix it. Called them again, they came 2 days later and gave me a replacement from a different brand so I could keep charging my car. They then send the box to myenergy. And now comes the things why I would never buy any product from this company ever again. They accused my local company that they broke the zappi when they replaced it with the replacement box.... I was there when they took it off. It was completely fine apart from not wanting to load my car. Display was working and nothing broken. MyEnergy accused them of braking one of the circuit boards which is total and utter bs. Now my local company had to pay for the replacement and since myenergy is located in britain and a pretty big company there is no way a legal battle would ever be good for a small local business. Funny enough when we got the replacement and I asked... they told me that they and many other small businesses stay away from myenergy products, because of 3 things: 1. They are not reliable and often brake. 2. Programs and updates sometimes brake things which then needs to be fixed again through another update. 3. The above mentioned customer support. If you ask me. I would stay as far away from this company as I could and rather buy anything else!!!
We'll I had a problem with the zappi, not charging at correct speeds. There technician ,Dave,corsponded via email could not get it to rectify. So a phone call later, quick reboot & everything worked fine. Thanks again Dave and all at myenergi.
I had a problem with scheduled charging on my Zappi. The tech support team found a likely cause in the settings on my web account, and helped my to correct them. Time will tell if this has fixed the problem, but they clearly knew their stuff and were very helpful. The web account and the settings created on the iPhone App will interfere with each other so if you're having similar problems, check to see if there are conflicting settings.
The MyEddi with android app is briiliant. I had a problem with my android display. An email to the MyEnergy team sorted out the problem very quickly. This is a great Company and I would highly recommend.

First class service - Will was brilliant and offered advice about relocating a Harvi to solve intermittent problem with Zappi. He was spot on and kept the ticket open (meant I didn’t have to start from the beginning again with a new person) until the problem was solved. Thank you
I bought a myenergi Zappi V2 in the end of 2021, with a hub and a harvi. I had some pairing problems with the hub, the support team (thx Russell) really tried to help me from the first minute on. Unfortunatly we were not able to solve the problems, so they sent me first a new hub - but the problems remain. So they sent me a new V2.1 Zappi as a replacement during warranty. And this is not just a replacement, this is an upgrade as well, because the new Zappi is has wifi/lan onboard and is also capable of occp. I also had a broken cable some months ago and they also sent me a replacement within some days. I truly can say, i never had such a good support. Really thank you, myenergi UK is great. I was moving to Octopus Intelligent Go and had to link my Zappi charger with the system. Unfortunately, I had forgotten my password for myenergi and was getting into a right muddle, (I’m not very tech savvy). I contacted myenergi and within an hour from first sending the email I’d had a reply, sorted the problem and was successfully connected to the Octopus Intelligent Go tariff which meant that last night I was able to charge my EV and home storage batteries at 7.5p/kW hour. I love my zappi, zappi zappi zappi+harvi hub. Anyhow this model is great because our property doesn't meet the requirements (silly bp pulse requires 100a) fused for 80a (60amp cable into property) so it keeps an eye on the cable making sure not to draw too much amps, recently had trouble upgrading firmware and myenergi support got back to me in reasonable time to solve the issue.
