Sep 02,2023Have just come back from a holiday to Orlando through Ocean Florida. We enjoyed ourselves but there were a few things about the villa and picking up the rental car that spoilt it for us. Before our holiday we were told by Ocean Florida that we would have to pick our car up from a different terminal to the one we landed in. On looking at You Tube videos we discovered the walk to get it would take approximately 30mins, not something you want after a 9hr and 20mins flight, plus I have trouble walking. Instead, we opted for the shuttle bus but the woman driving it dropped us off at yet another terminal, saying minibuses weren’t allowed into terminal our car was in (why didn’t she say that before we got on!). I had rung Ocean Florida about this issue before we went away and the customer service agent laughed when I said about the 30min walk to get the car but you only have to Google it to see it’s an issue for many travellers. For someone from Ocean Florida not to know about this didn’t make me feel very confident about the rest of the holiday. We also felt a bit let down on the standard of the villa we were given. It seemed quite dated and the games room that was advertised had no air con in it so was useless as it was like a furnace in there (we went in August). There were also tiles missing from around the pool, leaving sharp edges that little ones could easily cut their hands on, many of the lights didn’t work and a loose plug socket coming off the wall in the en-suite bathroom. We chose self-catering as my husband has Celiac Disease so we prefer to cook our own food but there was no potato masher, oven gloves and the potato peeler blade kept coming away from the handle. The saucepans and oven trays also looked as if they’d seen better days and the shelves were broken in the fridge. There was also no kettle, despite there being four in the cupboards, none of which worked! All in all, they weren’t huge issues but put all together, they did make us feel as if we had been overcharged for the standard of villa we received. I have been looking at how much it would be to book a villa, flights and a car ourselves and it works out around £3,000 cheaper. There also a few costs after we had paid for the holiday that we were not made aware of such as the six dollar a day tax for the accommodation (some kind of insurance I think) and an extra £356 if we wanted to choose seats on our British Airways flight. Because of all the above, I would not recommend Ocean Florida to anyone, nor would I use them again. Just wanted to add that no-one has ever been in touch with regards to the complaints I had about our holiday. We are planning to go back again in 2025 but I won’t be using Ocean Florida again.

Sep 01,2023So I booked my holiday 2 years ago, for my family to go to Disney World Florida. Ocean Florida allow you to book well in advance of other companies, which I find, is easier to save. I paid a deposit and was then left to pay the balance, something like 12 weeks before we were due to leave. I tweaked my booking many times in the 2 year period, from changing room type, to adding more tickets, to adding transfers you name it! Each time I called, I got straight through to someone and each time they promised to email me something, they did. Highly commend them on being available all the time I’ve tried (which was at least 12+ times I think!) and for doing exactly what they promised. Good service is so rare now, it knocks you for six when you get it. I’d highly recommend Ocean Florida to anyone booking a holiday to DisneyWorld Florida.

Sep 01,2023Upon arrival we had an issue with the pool, This was resolved same day. Every thing else was perfect and as advertised. We had a family emergency and had to return early from our holiday, rearrangement of flights was all handled professionally and with compassion, along with a late check out for remaining family. We were so grateful for all Ocean Florida help and staff were exceptional.

An amazing package with an amazing service. Some name to mention include Tex, Lauren, Pippa etc. Amazing Service. Would definately be using again

Aug 31,2023The company was very responsive while in the UK. We paid 150000 for a villa , fights and midrange villa . We report an issue on the first day . The property manager came round was very rude and aggressive in his approach. We emailed ocean florida saying we had other issues but would contact them on our return . This was solely based on the managers behaviour . When we came home the offered us £300 gift card to use them again . Dirty villa , broken beds , Mold in all bathrooms , cloudy pool ,broken blinds and bug net . I would upload photos if I was able to

Aug 31,2023I have no idea why Ocean Florida exists, it’s a pointless 'middleman’ that was pretty useless from the moment the deposit was paid. We could have arranged everything ourselves with less hassle, fewer mistakes and it would have cost us considerably less. The service and overall experience received from Ocean Florida was rubbish and simply not worth it. The 'General Manager', was also a waste of time. We approached him hoping to get a resolution privately but instead, he chose to ignore our email, even though he contacted us initially... Firstly, I want to be clear that all of the below are very much 'first world problems', we're very lucky to be able to do a trip like this, we know. It was amazing, but Ocean Florida had absolutely nothing to do with it. However, when you pay the crazy amount of money we did, there is a minimum expectation to receive what we paid for and also receive the service that was promised. It's also worth noting that we had done this same trip in the past (not with OF, we booked it ourselves), so the bar had already been set and we knew what to expect. In general, communication was always very poor and slow, we dealt with a number of different people which many times meant having to start over when requesting something. Very frustrating. When arriving at the villa, there was absolutely nothing in it in terms of the basics we expected i.e. we had to go out and purchase things like bin bags, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and a sponge etc etc, basic fundamentals to keep their villa clean. As mentioned, we have done this trip before and stayed in a number of villas in and around Florida, we know this isn’t normal, it was another mistake. Our second week was spent in Sanibel Island, we arranged this ourselves and the villa there had everything you would expect in terms of the basics. The villa writeup said it’s 10 minutes from Disney… this is an outright lie or at the very least, intentionally misleading. If you drive like the wind with no traffic you might just hit the perimeter of Disney within 15 to 20 minutes. Realistically, the journey is 30 minutes at best, typically 45 with the daily traffic. As Ocean Florida never provided a full address for the villa until just before our departure date (after requesting it again), we found this out on Google Maps when it was too late. We were told that children’s car seats can ‘only be requested’ and ’not guaranteed’, which seems daft, young children need car seats so they should be guaranteed. Anyway, the person we spoke to at Ocean Florida assured us that there "won’t be any issues and although they can’t be guaranteed, they always have them available". Guess what… when we arrived, not only was the request not even on our booking, but they didn’t have any left! It was a stupid problem that delayed our journey and after a long flight, the last thing we needed was to hang around for two hours whilst they scrambled to sort something. Presumably, they went and purchased new ones as what we eventually received were brand new and still wrapped. We requested (and paid additionally for) a wooden cot and a high chair in our villa, but true to form, they weren’t there when we arrived! After the faff with the hire car and child seats, this was the last thing we needed in the early hours of the morning. After some chasing the following morning which I shouldn’t have needed to do anyway, I finally got hold of someone and they assured me it would be placed in the villa that day. The good news is, they did… but it was dumped in the hallway along with the high chair whilst we were out. We had to lug it up the stairs and put it together. Nice touch! We constantly had to chase for basic information, stupid things like flight numbers and the address of the villa etc. The flight numbers eventually appeared in the ‘online portal’ but not soon enough for arranging other things that mattered like car parking, travel insurance and hotel bookings etc. In general, the ‘online portal’ is poor, outdated, clunky and unclear. Most online portals make things simple and clear with all info available via apps at any time with clear itineraries in a logical order. This simply isn’t the case with Ocean Florida, just a bunch of PDF’s in a random order that you have to trawl through to get the info needed, if it’s even there at all. AVOID! Looking at all the other similar reviews here, it seems that all they do is apologise and offer some kind of voucher or credit towards your next booking with them... Naturally, that's never going to happen as we have no interest in ever using them again. So, when you read this Ocean Florida, if you're truly sorry, refund us at least some of the cash we paid you, no one is interested in your vouchers. We're also not interested in sending feedback to your feedback email address... this is the feedback.

Aug 30,2023I don't like giving bad reviews, but this is worth an exception. Ocean Florida doesn't (or certainly didn't in my case) give any breakdown of costs of car hire, accommodation, flights, etc., so it was impossible to see what value we might get. Sourcing these things individually, we knocked three grand off the Ocean Florida quote. It's understandable that the company builds its commission into the overall cost, but refusing to say what those costs are means taking a giant leap of faith. Saying 'we got you a great deal on flights' but not saying what that deal is? Weird. On the plus side, if you're happy to chuck thousands of pounds away, the adviser was as friendly, knowledgeable and helpful as he could've been.
