We used Optiontown for Air Namibia flights. We booked the seat row option two Times: 1. Time Check In Frankfurt Nov 2018 - they did not know what Optiontown is... 2. Time Check In Frankfurt Dec 2018 - we got only ONE SEATROW TOGHET. After we spoke to another employees at the check in gate, we got one seat row for everyone, but we got told that they do not work toghether with optiontown and that the do not get enough Informationen from optiontown. 3. Windhuk - Frankfurt Dec 2018 - we got one row per Person but the other passengers complained. The Crew did not know about the blocked seat row and we had to change seats. But the worst of that: OPTIONTOWN is still NOT willing to REFUND our MONEY! 4. Check In Windhuk Jan 2019 - we had to wait extra at the Check In, because a group of employees had to discuss first. We got three seats per passengers but a row contains 4 seats. In the plane, the Crew knew about but and the whole row was free. Everything was Fine, but we had to Fight for our row because other passengers wanted to move to our rows and did not know about optiontown. They thought we are lying. We got no help from the Crew. Contacting Optiontown is really difficult. They do Not answer your questions, they are Not willing to help. They just want you Money!!!

I would think twice before buying an optiontown flight pass. Everytime I had to contact Customer services, I ended up waiting 40mn to talk to someone and after being repeatedly put on hold, being told that I would be contacted within 48hours. 48 hours later, no one had contacted me and I had to start he whole process all over again (incurring a huge phone bill!)

DISGUSTING, APPALING SERVICE, BAD, BAD COMPANY. PROMISES YOU A DREAM AND YOU STAY IN YOUR DREAMS, PLANE GOES EMPTY SEATS BUT YOU DONT GET AN UPGRADE. CALLING THEM IS WASTE OF TIME AS THEY NEVER PICK UP, I WILL WRITE A FORMAL COMPLAINT TO BIMAN BANGLADESH AIRLINE

Via Optiontown had ik 24 Flight Bundel tickets gekocht. Deze betaal je gedeeltelijk vooruit. Hiervan zijn nog 8 tickets over. Echter was het boeken van de vluchten een catastrofe. Aangezien ik regelmatig met KLM vlieg, werd ik verleid door het feit dat ze gelieerd zijn aan verschillende luchtvaartmaatschappijen, waaronder KLM. Ik had daarom gedacht dat dit een betrouwbare aanbieder zou zijn. Maar in tegendeel blijkt het een vreselijk bedrijf te zijn met valse beloftes. Ze zouden alleen telefonisch of per mail bereikbaar zijn, er is geen kantoor of dergelijke vestiging. Ze zijn volledig inflexibel en hebben een zeer slechte klantenservice. Ze bieden een speciaal 020 nummer waar niet doorheen te komen is. Bij de klantenservice van KLM weet niemand iets van het product en word ik van afdeling naar afdeling gestuurd. De partner Optiontown belooft mij een oplossing en zou terug te bellen, maar ik betwijfel of dit waar is. Ik zal nooit meer tickets aanschaffen via dit bedrijf. U bent gewaarschuwd.

Still waiting for a refund ovet 1 month after flight. They confirmed upgrade 4 hours before flight only it wasn't available at airport - they have no direct access to airline's system. No one answers phone. They didn't even bother to confirm whether upgrade was available on return - needless to say it wasn't. Will start legal action to recover money if this isn't resolved soon.

Absolutely terrible. They told us we had upgrades but flight was fully booked so airline staff couldn't upgrade us. Worse still nearly 2 months later and we haven't had money refunded (over £500). Despite me contacting them every couple of days they just fob me off. As others have said it looks like a business model based on hanging in to customers money for as long as possible or stealing it. Don't go near them.

I've spent half a day, about 4 hours, thoroughly reviewing Option Town offers for Royal Jordanian flights from/ To Amman/ London. and one more destination. After all the time I spent, I found it worth sharing my findings in relation to 1) Pricing: There is zero discount in any the offers I found compared to the off peak/ regular market price for the flights I searched. 2) rigidity: Option town offer very rigid rules making changes, cancellation, refunding very inflexible if not close to impossible. 3) pass validity date is 2-3 weeks ahead, don't be fooled by the short booking deadline, i.e. 1 day or 4 hours ahead of your flight. Your pass will be valid for making a booking in 2-3 weeks after you've paid your first installment. For example if you buy your pass on Dec 23 hoping you can land an off peak price for flight on Dec 25 by purchasing the 1 day ahead of flight booking deadline, bear in mind the pass will be valid for booking after 2-3 weeks, after Dec 23, at which time prices will normally come down to the off peak price and you will not be doing yourself/ money any favor by locking future 4 tickets ,min, for zero saving. 4) Customer service, you will not be able to contact you flight operator phone numbers or any other contacts to make any changes or anything related to your flight. You have no relation what so every with the flight carrier/ operator. Everything from inquiries to changes and cancellation has to go to option town Customer Care and by EMAIL alone.Option town does not care enough to assign any phone line for its customers and wants the minimum annoyance from you with the maximum money you can pay. Imagine how much emails they receive and who on earth will be able to answer your emails when you are stuck in the middle of nowhere and needing immediate help. There are many other factors for dissatisfaction, I tried to list the major in my openion. I'm not being harsh on them but one needs to be honest and this is not a company that wants to give you true value for the significant money you are locking with them. One needs to think well before buying any of these passes. Don't lose your mind over the 50% discount promise. Do your research, take your time and you will reach your own conclusion. From what I found, its no option town.

I have purchased a pack of flights from Optiontown. When I tried to redeem one, their system booked me a ticket for a different day. I have contacted them and explained the situation. Initially they refused to take responsibility because "it is an automated system, which is flawless". After many emails and (long wait) phone calls where they tried to persuade me that I had made the mistake and not them, I was told that they would sort it out with BA. I have heard nothing ever since (4 weeks ago). I have called and been ignored more than 50 times (literally). Have waited for a total of over 6 hours on the phone and have sent over 20 emails to these guys. They are a terrible company with a terrible service. Will never purchase anything again.

This company is commiting fraud. After purchasing a flight pass paying full amount (€2480) and receiving a confirmation. They asked for more money because they had a technical glitch and they want me to (upgrade) to the full flight pass. Or the other option is to downgrade my pass to a blackout one. Bad company, bad website, horrible customer service and to top it off, fraudulent activities.

Booked and paid for a business class upgrade from economey on 18th may 2018 for travel on 23 June. 5hrs before the flight was due to depart I received an email to say upgrade approved subject to availability. I was first in line at check in, handed my passport to the check in lady, she said you upgraded through optiontown? i replied yes she then proceeded to print boarding pass out. Have a good flight she said and off I trotted through fast track security. I'm now sitting in lounge waiting to board. Happy Days. I would use optiontown again.

Dealing with Optiontown has been a nightmare. I was tempted by the prospect of saving a few hundred dollars on multiple flights by buying their "Flight Pass" but one minute after I purchased it I went to book my first flight and found that by one day I had fallen into the grey area that they call the "blackout zone" wherein you can not travel. I was promised a 14 day advance booking but now it seems that I can not book my flight for 8 weeks! - This totally messes with my plans, my visa, my free time. I could have paid about another hundred dollars and had a 7 day advance booking option, or saved almost two hundred dollars and taken the 30 day advance booking option but now I am supposed to wait 8 weeks and pay the full price. Getting them to answer the phone takes hours, their website does not always work once they have taken your money. One of their things is to tell you on the phone that their computer system is down which I doubt is true. They are legit and are affiliated with several airlines but they are completely inflexible and have very poor customer service. I wish I had heeded the warnings I read in several customer reviews and avoided them. Do not use Optiontown. Now I am awaiting an email to see if I can get a refund and I anticipate that they will refuse. At the moment I seem to be out $1800 and it will cost me a lot more to re-arrange my travel plans and I will have to wait another 8 weeks to go on my trip which will cost me further. Avoid Optiontown. I feel sick.

I applied for an upgrade to business class for my flight to Vietnam which went through without a hitch. so comfy i did the same for the return flight - again no problems. however the outward cost of £298 finally cleared on my card @ $442 (£320) plus a non stirling transaction fee!. when i queried this optiontown tell me they do not accept GBP. funny that because the return upgrade has cleared as per original price in GBP!!

Basically OptionTown is guilty of fraud by omission (intentional or otherwise is debatable). If you book EgyptAir (MS), some weeks before your flight MS send you an email inviting you to upgrade for "up to 75% off". The link in the email takes you to their partner - OptionTown. OptionTown 'goes to town' extolling the many benefits that will accrue if you upgrade. One of these is "additional frequent flyer miles" but this is false advertising. MS do NOT increase your miles in line with your increased fare. I pointed this out to OptionTown who replied that they represent many airlines. At no time did they accept that there was a problem, nor did they accept that they should state which carriers they represent, DO give additional miles. It's worth noting that you never get 75% discount on the Business fare (one way). When you take into account the base fare already paid, then adding the additional amount for the upgrade, the discount works out at more like 40%. Since most Frequent Traveller programs have moved from crediting miles flown to *revenue earned*, it is unacceptable for an airline like MS (who do credit based on revenue) to credit miles based on the original discounted economy fare. But the complaint here is that OptionTown tells you that you will receive a benefit, which they know to be false.

Very poor service. I purchased KLM flightbundle, not possible to get ticket. By phone not reachable, do not reply on complaints via email. Long time I experienced such bad (non)service. DO NOT USE!

à eviter aucun respect de leurs engagements ni du client débité de 1040 $ des la souscription alors qu'ils s'engagent sur la page des paiements à ne pas vous débiter avant que l'upgrade ne soit confirmé un autre de leur engagement est de vous rembourser sous 5 jours après le vol si vous n'avez pas été upgradé et plus de 10 jours après ils ne me remboursent toujours pas Ils ne répondent ni aux mails ni au téléphone et suppriment les commentaires qui leur déplaisent sur leur page facebook

Not only did I not get a single one of the four "options" I'd asked on a Vietnam Airlines trip to and from Europe for but I lost money in each case. And worse yet, if you hang around waiting for their email saying "sorry, no" (which often arrives after online check-in opens) then you are not allowed to check in online and you miss all the decent seats. So not only do you end up out of pocket, you end up in the worst possible seat. Avoid Optiontown, that's my strong advice.

Actually one of few who did get an upgrade. However, it came with no real perks. I still had to stand in the economy check in line, had no access to the lounge and I felt like I was treated like I was scamming the airport staff. So embarrassing. Business class was a wider chair in a plane that forgot to have it's aircon put on. Not OTs fault but still feel I wasted my money. Will not be using again.
