Jul 30,2022From the beginning to the end, our trip to Zambia was excellent in every respect. Having booked as a family for 2020 we were thrilled to be able to travel at last in 2022. We stayed at three different safari camps, two in South Luangwa, one in Lower Zambezi, and a lodge upstream from Victoria Falls. They were all very different, which was great as it almost felt as though we had four different holidays. What they had in common was comfortable accommodation, delicious food, friendly and efficient staff, lovely scenery, wonderful guiding and (in the safari camps) amazing wildlife viewing. It was obvious that Mary, our travel consultant, had listened carefully to what we wanted and had chosen options that met our every need. One of our best holidays ever.

Jul 16,2022Excellent company! Frances did a great job helping us plan our trip. She sent us an email list of questions so she could suggest game camps and time periods to help us see and do all the things we wanted to see. Her questions also helped us know what was available, as first time safari goers, this was invaluable. We were able to see lots of animals and enjoy the variety of landscapes that the different camps offered. The Vamoos app that the company uses also was helpful for letting us know weather, restaurants, maps (in cities) and keeping track of our itinerary via messaging-all of this could be used in airplane mode. Really good support before the trip and all the connections ran very smoothly.

Jul 13,2022Our trip would have been a success at any stage of our itinerary even if we had not done the rest of it! We loved Chobe where we saw elephants, lions, and leopards, and more. The lodge was fine, too. Three nights was just right. As for Victoria Falls, three nights was also the right length of time, and spending half a day on the Zimbabwe side was time and money well spent before getting into Zambia. The short helicopter flight was also well worth the money as was the Livingston Island Breezer. The Avani hotel was the perfect location because we could walk to the falls and across the main bridge and the smaller bridge closer to the falls. We even walked down to the Boiling Pot. Three nights at Lower Zambezi was the right duration. We saw lots of animals. Had a great canoe trip down a side channel of the Zambezi. Hippos and crocs everywhere! Even an elephant in camp right where we'd been sitting 10 minutes earlier. Four nights at South Luangwa was one or two nights too long after all we'd seen up until that time. Nevertheless the camp, its wildlife, and its guide were terrific. All the arrangements Safari Consultants made for us went off like clockwork. People met us when and where they were supposed to. Camp staff were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and competent everywhere we went.

Jul 13,2022We booked the "gorillas, big game and open plains" trip with Safari Consultants in 2020, and unfortunately due to covid this was delayed by a year. However, that did not take away from how much we loved our holiday. From start to finish everything was organised to perfection, from the transfers to the hotels/lodges, the whole way through we were taken such great care of. Safari Consultants helped us choose the best accommodation for our budget and requirements and we could not have been happier. They really took into accounts our preferences and what we wanted out of the trip and were there for us from the start and even helped us during the trip when we had questions. They provided us with all the documents and information we needed on a helpful app that functioned offline to save us carrying lots of paper around. The transfers were seamless and we could not have been happier with the trip. Big thank you to Frances and the team for all their help and hard work!

Jul 02,2022A safari has been on the bucket list for like what felt forever. After contact with a number of different companies in 2020, I stumbled across Safari Consultants via a Google search and from the first point of contact I never looked back at booking with this company... Our personal travel consultant Mary Grimwood has been nothing short of amazing. When I initially spoke with her during a very thorough telephone conversation she got a full grip of what I was looking for out of the safari experience with the budget I had set and didn't fail in delivering a package that would be suitable. In the end we opted for a 7 night safari, split over two camps - Kicheche Laikipia and Kicheche Mara Camp. Neither camp disappointed on both the game front and the hospitality. Being smaller camps we felt we got much more of a personal service and experience than that of what I had initially been looking at with lodges and hotels. Due to covid and like most, the holiday had to be postponed. This however was no issue for Mary who assisted us in moving our holiday to a year later ensuring we were still going to get everything we wanted. As a result of the very thoroughness of Mary's organisation the whole holiday was a breeze. At every part of the way we were met by the various representatives who took the stress out of the travel for us. Having now sadly returned from our trip, I cannot highly recommend Safari Consultants and Mary for organising our trip. They really do go above and beyond and I would have no doubt in rebooking with them if I am ever lucky and able enough to make a return trip. Excellent company!

Jun 29,2022Safari consultants arranged our safari to Savannah lodge in sabi sands. We originally booked for May 2020 but postponed until May 2022 without any problem. When we were eventually able to go on our safari it was above our wildest expectations. This was our first safari and the recommendation of Savannah lodge was spot on. We experienced fantastic game viewing which was prioritised and the lodge itself provided top star service. We very much hope to take a safari again in the future and would have no hesitation in using safari consultants again or referring them to our friends.

Jun 28,2022Having initially booked our holiday in 2019 and then having it canceled and rebooked three times due to Covid, the challenges were immense. I am so thankful that we were in the competent hands of Francis and Safari consultant. The guidance they provided could not have been more perfect in the communication more thorough. The Asilia camps were amazing and every element of detail was spot on. I would not hesitate for a second do use them again and recommend every component of our trip to the highest degree.

Jun 22,2022This was our fourth trip to Africa organised by Rob Slater & Safari Consultants and as always it was planned to perfection. Like so many others, our trip to Botswana had been postponed twice due to covid. We were still a little hesitant to go this year due to the inability to get good insurance coverage but Rob along with his suppliers in Africa, was able to provide us with a solution that enabled us to move forward with our plans to travel earlier this month. Once we arrived in Africa and Rob’s itinerary kicked in we had another flawless Safari experience. Thank you Rob & all the Safari Consultants team. We will be back.

Jun 15,20223 days at Victoria Falls + 6 days of wonderful Game Drives at two game lodges + 8 days in "Paradise" - true. Our 18 day holiday to Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Mauritius was expertly planned by Safari Consultants / Mary Grimwood and delivery totally met our expectations and more. e.g Victoria Falls - outstanding quality of hotel and staff / food + helicopter ride over the Falls Muchenje Game Lodge - First class hosts, food, accommodation and our top rated Guide called 'Lips' Kanana Camp - Totally Professional Lodge Team. Top rated Guide (appeared to have Phd level expertise in animals, environment and astrology and more) . Saw and experienced huge range of game and scenery. Of the 6 Game Reserves we have experienced in Africa over the years we saw our first ever Cheetahs at Kanana. Not one but two brothers. So this was a first for us. Mauritius - Trou Aux Biches - the driver from the airport told us he was taking us to "Paradise". ..... He was totally correct in all aspects. Everything about the Resort was completely off the star rating scale having stayed at hotels / resorts globally for over 20 + years Our resort was one of 4 Five star resorts on the island. There is however one 6 star hotel which we can only guess may have been called "Heaven". So glad that Safari Consultants did not book us in there as we have more excitement and living to do:) If you want the comfort of quality, safety and mega memories then book with Safari Consultants - and "no" we are not on their payroll or whatever, just a couple who appreciate quality and want to have a great holiday including some stories that will entertain our grandchildren and more.

May 17,2022This was our first time travelling with Safari Consultants, but we will definitely be using them again for any future safari trips. It was obvious Mary had properly listened to what we wanted in our first conversation and came up with great itinerary which really suited us - much better than the other quotes we got. The itinerary factored in rests when we needed them, variety, and was expertly executed so we had no problems or hold ups. The whole experience was very easy and the team were extremely efficient at booking everything and getting all the information to us, even though the trip was quite last minute. We will certainly recommend Safari Consultants to our family and friends

May 07,2022I approached Safari Consultants on a personal recommendation and could not have been more impressed with the service. I had a very, VERY, last minute opportunity to travel to Kenya, and wanted to focus on wildlife photography. Frances was able to pull-together the *perfect* trip, and negotiate a good deal for me, always willing to answer any last-minute questions I had. The documentation and advice provided was clear, and all of the travel logistics worked like clockwork.

Mar 28,2022This was my second safari booked through Safari Consultants, this time to two Kicheche camps in Kenya. As previously, the attention to detail in the planning and advice was absolutely wonderful. Our questions about Covid and other concerns were all answered swiftly - nothing was too much trouble. We felt completely confident in the recommendation of the camps and in fact the latter very much exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Safari Consultants to anyone wanting to travel to camps which set themselves apart from the mass travel market because of their strong ethical policies and connections to local communities. I would not consider booking with anyone else! Fabulous.
