Mar 07,2022Safari Consultants always deliver the very best service, advice, and support. I have been using them for many years, and they have never dropped a ball. Just returned from a holiday in the Mara in Kenya, staying at two camps for 7 nights, with two nights in Nairobi. As always, faultless service, from being met at the airport, to the transport shuttles, to the choice of camps themselves, and the levels of service and professionalism from all concerned. We had a great holiday, introducing our grandchildren to the wonders of the Mara for the first time in their lives. They had a wonderful time, and have returned hooked on the Mara. I cannot recommend Safari Consultants highly enough, if you are planning a safari to Africa.

Mar 04,2022To start with the elevator “pitch” first, Rob Slater and Safari Consultants are absolutely the best!! We are older US citizens who were looking to plan a bucket list trip to see Mountain Gorillas in Uganda. We asked some friends (US & Canadian ex-pats living in Europe) who had traveled to Namibia and they gave us the name of Rob Slater of Safari Consultants in Suffolk UK who they thought was terrific. Previously, we had been to Africa twice, once to Egypt and once to Tanzania (Serengeti & Zanzibar). We contacted Rob by email, and he called us in Aug 2019 to start planning a mid-year 2020 trip. Obviously Covid intervened and the trip was delayed twice, for a total of 505 days. We finally left in mid-February 2022 and returned in early March. The itinerary was flying into Entebbe, Uganda on Qatar (JFK/Doha/Entebbe) and then light aircraft to/from Bwindi for 3 nights to see Mountain Gorillas. Then light aircraft to Mara North airstrip for 4 nights on safari in the Mara. Finally light aircraft to Nairobi and again Qatar home (Nairobi/Doha/JFK). Rob and Safari Consultants took care of all the arrangements once we stepped off Qatar in Entebbe until we stepped back on to Qatar in Nairobi. All the arrangements inside Africa were made by Rob, including taxi’s, Covid tests, guides, accommodations, even down to recommending tips for all guides, porters, and staff members we encountered (which was important as we needed to bring the correct amount of cash in the correct denominations). The entire trip went seamlessly, even after I fell and injured my knee on the first morning of our visit. Rob coordinated with the hotel to get me seen by a doctor (with x-rays) and when I was still limping, arranged via his local agent to get me carried large portion of the way in our Bwindi gorilla trek. So, despite being injured (due to my own fault), I still got to the Mountain Gorillas!! If you want an outstanding safari experience, with the best of everything, Rob Slater and Safari Consultants should be your only call.

Mar 03,2022Just returned from a week's photographic Safari in Kenya with Bob Brind-Surch of Natures' Photos. All the ground arrangements were made by Safari Consultants. I can't laud them too much. They are real experts in Africa; exceptionally knowledgeable and with a range of contacts to handle every contingency. Pre-departure guidance through the travails of Covid was superb. Highly recommended.

Mar 03,2022From the moment we booked, Safari Consultants took care of everything. We were kept informed of Covid rules and any changes to them and the travel to Kenya was as smooth as it could have been. On arrival at Kicheche Mara Camp we were made to feel extremely welcome and the week of Safari was made one to remember. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday of a very high standard. I would definitely recommend to anyone and will now be saving for our next trip to the Maasai Mara.

What has impressed me from the outset when I was enquiring about the trip was the very professional yet caring and friendly way all of my enquiries and contacts were handled; these holidays are not inexpensive and having reassurance that the organisers are very experienced and know exactly how to organise and these tours has been so comforting. When it came down to actually travelling to Kenya, particularly in these difficult Covid times, the support was complete with detailed instructions on what was required, where and how to obtain e-visas, certificates etc and ongoing advice. Our Tour Consultant was knowledgeable, quick to respond and actually travelled out to Kenya just a few weeks before my departure and it was good to hear of his experiences. I will go to Kenya again and I will travel through Safari Consultants - in a time of great uncertainty, they provided certainty, reassurance and, most importantly, an amazing holiday. Everything was on time and there to hand, the organisation works like clock work. 100% perfect, from the first contact with the company to the last, totally impressed. All the paperwork and advise sheets spot on. I without doubt recommend Safari Consultants. Very professional with the added personal touch. I'd advise anyone to talk to the company if your thinking of going on Safari, guaranteed they will look after you, in a very professional manner. You will have the perfect holiday. Feb 21,2022Just returned from a 7 night safari / beach break with 2 young children. Everything was so well organised and professional from start to finish. Both locations were really excellent. Visually stunning in their own ways and certainly exceeded my expectations. Food was delicious and service was really good throughout. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly and helpful - in summary, we were very well looked after! Thanks to everyone at Safari Consultants for making our holiday so memorable!

Feb 20,2022An amazingly organised honeymoon in Kenya by Safari Consultants. Due to Covid we had to move our trip several times. Frances from Safari Consultants was there from our initial query and there to help and answer any questions or concerns. We stayed in 3 different lodges which were all amazing in there own ways! The holiday was exactly as described but the accommodation, staff and incredible wildlife massively exceeded our expectations. We had to postpone the holiday due to Covid and never felt any pressure whatsoever. I can't recommend them highly enough and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Feb 16,2022We have just returned from an 8 night safari in Kenya organised by Safari Consultants (Mary). The reason we always choose them is that they make every effort to tailor the safari to meet our needs, they provide a number of alternative itineraries giving us choice and the team have spent time themselves visiting the different camps so they have first hand knowledge of what they are recommending. They appear to have very good relationships with the different camps and are very well respected by them. They are always on hand to answer any questions that crop up which is particularly important whilst travelling during these difficult covid times. Essentially they fill us with confidence every time we travel with them. In terms of their operators in Kenya who do the meet and greet, take care of the transfers and generally get you through the Kenyan processes as smoothly as possible - they are first class, very reliable and very professional - we have never had a problem in all the times we have travelled with them. I have every confidence in recommending them and personally wouldn’t want to use anyone else. Their repeat business speaks for itself.

Feb 04,2022All arrangements worked as planned. Everyone was extremely helpful, vehicles clean and comfortable and drivers competent. I much enjoyed the stay in the Mara , the camp was well run, food was delicious and accommodation great. My guide George was very knowledgeable and with him I saw a wide variety of game and had enjoyable game drives. I would recommend a stay at Kicheche Camps.

Mar 24,2022We were very impressed with the whole booking process especially the quality of communication on all aspects of our safari in Kenya as well as how smoothly everything went in terms of airport immigration, transfers, internal flights etc etc into and out of Nairobi - it made life so much easier for us. Whilst the safari itself greatly exceeded our expectations the quality and professional organising and communication that Safari Consultants put in definitely helped to make it an overall great experience. We will have no hesitation in contacting them again for any future safari’s we are considering.
