The ONLY reason I applied with them and not PetCare (my usual go to, who have no problem with lending me money) is that, unfortunately, my vet only uses them! My credit rating/score (in Canada) is an 802; which is above average & considered excellent. I am disabled & only get a government pension, so my annual "income" is under $20k. When I questioned why I was declined, this is what they told me: "Unfortunately, your yearly income did not meet our requirements. We regret to inform you that our application process is automated, and we don't have any exceptions to the process." The company and the way they "process" applications is horrible! They need to have their "income requirements" posted clearly, so people don't waste their time giving them their sensitive financial information. My pets & I are lucky, in that I was only applying to, hopefully, get a lower interest rate than my credit card (which has a current credit limit of almost $10k); so my dog with cancer can still get his lifesaving operation. I feel for others who won't be so lucky. I will be sure to tell everyone I know to NEVER use or apply with them.

The good: I was able to get a loan for a whopper vet bill to cover it until my pet insurance claim was processed. At the point I had my reimbursement from insurance, I was going to pay off the full balance. ScratchPay, in the loan terms, states you can do that. The bad: 1) Yeah, you apparently cannot pay off the full balance. There is no way to do that to be found on their website. It's monthly payments or nothing. Given the reviews of the nightmare screw ups with the payment plan, I DO NOT want to go that route. Nor did I ever intend to carry months and months of payments. So now I am going to have to call them and throw the terms of the loan agreement in their faces, and likely have to initiate action with the state attorney general, etc., to get them to adhere to their stated policies/loan agreement. 2) They gleefully set you up with debit card/credit card payments as the default. Then, if you happen to go online to make a payment, you will discover that they charge 2.5% payment processing fees per payment. So, if I COULD pay my balance in full, that's cash and prizes of over $125. Fine print: you can use ACH, but there's no way to actually pay the whole bill off. 3) They take money they don't apply to your account. Fortunately for me, it's only $15 so far, but I do not want to be in the position of being forced to make payments instead of paying off in full because I have little confidence that they will actually CREDIT that money to my account. So, it was nice to have the option because my total vet bill was $10000. Original estimate was $15,000. Care credit covered about half the bill. ScratchPay covered the rest. Insurance reimbursed me for $7500 of it. So ScratchPay helped save my dog. But holy cow, they are turning into a nightmare to deal with.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY SET YOU UP WITH AUTOPAY BUT NO PAYMENTS WILL PROCESS BECAUSE OF SERVER ISSUES. THEY ADD LATE FEES AND YOU ARE STILL UNABLE TO PAY BECAUSE OF SERVER ISSUES. THEN THEY THREATEN TO SEND YOU TO THE CREDIT COLLECTORS AND YOU STILL CANNOT PAY BECAUSE OF SERVER ISSUES.

Bait and switch. These crooks advertise one deal and then it is magically not actually available but one with triple the interest is available. Don't trust dishonest companies like this one.

Scratch pay was a lifesaver in helping my four-legged family member. I was approved for the Take 5 plan. It helped out financially, allowing me to make smaller payments with no interest. It is easy to make online payments. I would highly recommend Scratch pay. I am very grateful to you. My Pup and I thank you!

We used scratchpay for a recent vet surgery. I decided to pay the bill in full. This was on Friday, July 15 2022. The payment that was processed was only the first digit of the total payment. I called and they said it was a known issue and they were working to resolve it. I tried to make the payment today, July 19, 2022 and had the same issue. I again called and had to make the payment online. When they quoted my the payoff, the amount was off by 1 cent compared to what was shown online and I was told thats OK. For a company that is in the business of granting loans and then not being able to process a payment correctly, seems a little sketchy to me.

I am so angry my ears are literally ringing ! This place along with Brident Dental in Fort Worth Texas are complete scammers. I went to get a cleaning WITH MY INSURANCE . These people manipulated me and basically created me an invoice of 1000s of dollars. After realizing what happened within 24 hours I canceled the contract signed the canceled contract. Paid out of pocket for the half mouth cleaning that was rendered and was told that it takes a few weeks to get the contract canceled but that it would be done. Today I get an alert that ScratchPay has placed this loan/contract in my credit report . I am furious and will be seeking legal counsel! DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT USE SCRATCHPAY. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE .

I cannot say enough good things about scratchpay. It allows me to separate my dogs vet bills into separate payments with no additional fees. It also gives me peace of mind knowing that it a catastrophic accident were to occur, and I did not have the funds on hand to pay for the procedure, scratchpay would have my back. My dog is my world, so knowing that there is something like scratchpay out there takes a lot of stress off of me.

If I could write no stars I would. I received a loan from them for $8500. Never set up autopay (old school, just don’t like it) but I am constantly looking at my bank account. I noticed they were authorizing $1 payments randomly from my debit card they had on file. Contacted them immediately, even though it’s only a few dollars, they shouldn’t be in my account WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Especially when im making $1000 payments a month. No one has answers. I’ve talked to 4 “employees” and they all just say we will call you back in 24-48 hours. Then the same conversation all over again with a new agent. They need too be turned into the federal business bureau. I’m done. Not trustworthy at all. Not worth it!

I really wanted to leave this company a good review for anyone who is looking for that little bit of help that they need. I really thought I was going to lose my kitty due to a vet bill of over 2k, but thanks to go fund me and Scratchpay I was able to get him back to health. I am so grateful to Scratchpay because of their generosity and not having interest fees. I love that they are trusting toward their borrowers immediately. They were super fast with getting the money to my vet as well. I have one last payment with Scratchpay and my loan will be paid off. I hope I never have to get another loan due to my cat being sick but if I do, I know Scratchpay will be there to help. Thank you Scratchpay 🙏❤️

So I paid off ON TIME EVERY TIME 6 ( count them SIX) payment plans totaling over $850. I am a loyal , good paying customer. Recently needed ( get this!) $114.00. They refused to set up a plan! Really?? After I have proven I am a good customer??? I’m completely done with this company! I applied for Care Credit and got approved immediately. I am never late on ANY bill. I even paid MORE than I had to at times. When I see this stupid organization crash and burn I’ll know why.

At first it was a misunderstanding, I thought someone hacked into my bank account because is only said scratch and not scratchpay in the details on my bank statement. When you look up scratch it shows a child game. So my bank card was canceled and after I realized it was Mmy mistake and I asked my bank to reverse the funds back to them. Scratchpay called and I explained to them what happen and whatnot. They told me they understood and things happen. Now mind you im on disability. My bank did reverse the funds 2 days later with was a Friday, Monday I called scratchpay and told them that it was reversed on Friday. The agent I was talking to stated in order for the funds to be reverses back to them they need my new card information. Ok cool, I gave it to them and that's it. Come Wednesday, not only did that get their reverse payments but then I see a charge of 108 dollars. (My payments are 54 each month which is 5 months.) So I called then back and explained what happened and why did they charge me 108 dollars. So for a month and half it was "being investigated" all I asked was for the last payment to be dropped because I was lied to about only having my new card on file to reverse the charges and then being double dipped of another 2 on the same day. Month and half later a main supervisor calls me and I had to tell him the whole store again, he tells me their NOTHING they can do about and it was a charge. So not ONLY the agent gave me false information but double dipped into my account without my permission. This supervisor got crappy with over the phone, I asked him if he's backing this liar agent and how they theived off a guy on disability. He said yes!! Do not do any business with these people. You can admit that you are wrong yet they lie to you, give you misguided information and they double dip into your account and their bosses backs then. I told them 4 times I'm on disability and they screwed me hard!!

ScatchPay came through for me when CareCredit didn't. I was approved for my loan for veterinary care in seconds after I applied. Easy repayment set up with affordable monthly installments. They saved my cat's life! I recommend ScratchPay.

They have screwed up my credit. Reporting to the credit bureaus that I have 3 missed or late payments when I have not missed one payment as my account is on autopay and according to my account on their website there is no missed payments. Such a joke!

This company is horrible to work with. I set up auto pay for my payments, just like I have all of my bills. From the first payment it said it went through but then they contacted me to tell me I was late and my bank account information was wrong. I knew it was all correct. They advised me to remove my bank account and re enter it. I tried multiple times, but the payment method would not delete off the account. I tried re enter it multiple times and it kept telling me account information already exists. They had to get there technical support involved as they admitted it was all on their end. Tech support was to suppose to have it fixed, but no. I took off auto pay and paid the total amount because I had wasted so much time of my life on this. Just got an email that stated payment did not go through, bank account does not exist. WTH. Run as fast as you can from this company. Stick to Care Credit!!

I applied for Scratchpay last year, when one of my cats had a urinary blockage. The vet told me that I had to have at least $600 up front. I had applied for care credit, but didn't get approved. The lady at the vet asked me if I had ever heard of Scratchpay. I told her I hadn't, but I'd apply and see what happens. I was approved for $600, which would at least be enough for them to start the surgery. Without Scratchpay, I'm not really sure what I'd have done. The loan agreement was payments by the end of the month, so I'd usually pay early and pay more than what the monthly payment was. I got the loan paid off with no issues. I'm really thankful for Scratchpay. My cat could have been dead right now had I not been approved for that loan.

I’m so grateful for the credit. So my dog could have the surgery he desperately needed.
