Instalation was hassle and trouble free; workers friendly and helpful; site was cleared and clean within kess than 30 mins from instalation
Excellent experience from the beginning to end. Very professional . Would highly recommend.
This is a difficult rating task: the representative was very helpful and knowledgeable; the contractor installers mostly good though left a string problem leaving some panels not performing properly - rectified by Solargain; power back up to battery problems as existing circuits tripped the RCDs - still being resolved; Reposit software has performed intermittently as the original dongle aerial was inadequate for operating inside metal meter box - 2nd attempt was a repeater unit inside the house and still not reliable - waiting for 3rd attempt some 4 months since installation; aerial and software for the inverter by SolarEdge and the smart meter work okay.
from start to finish Solargain was very professional, gave me lots of useful information and feedback specific to my situation.
happy with the whole package and the first bill we got is only $78 from the previous bill of ($400) this during summer time, i have received 3 electricity bills now and so far we havent seen any over $85, we use the ac a lot during summer and yeah happy with the outcome. waiting for winter bill. the app pretty much tells you how much is being consumed/ generated roughly, the actual inverter has the more accurate figure. i recommend solargain good package deal and easy to deal with.
I believe all money spent with Solargain was worth full value of money, best part of experience was with installer who arrived on time, very professional and polite, left place very clean.
Solargain was good to deal with, but the Electrician did not complete to install properly so it took longer to get it working. Otherwise very good
Very helpful.
All good no problems!
The hole in our gyprock ceiling was fixed with a minimum of fuss I must admit. The salesperson did not tell us about the three phase inverter as it would cost too much; a decision for us I would have thought with a 7.6kw system and yes we have three phase power to the house. The guys who came out to inspect a dodgy panel were very helpful but it should not have taken so many calls t Perth to have them arrive; not my issue if someone went to Fiji for a holiday.
This 1 star review reflects my overall experience with Solargain and whilst it wasn't all bad, there were some good parts, I genuinely feel the bad outweighed the good. The solar system itself was great but Solargain failed to check my switchboard (responsibility of Solar contractor) to ensure a new smart meter installation would succeed. Due to our older body corp switchboard (solar system installed at my unit complex), the metering spacing wasn't up to standard. So when my energy retailer came and installed the smart meter, the smart meter didn't fit. Was notified by Energex/Meter installer that all I had to do was to move the meter to where there's more space (which there was) - it was a low cost (~$300) small 1 hour job but here's where the problems started with Solargain. At this point, Energex deemed my meter status invalid and I was getting estimated readings with no solar credits, won't be retrospectively calculated either which is a bit unfair. I reported the issue immediately to Solargain. Had to wait a couple of weeks just to get a response. When I did get a response, was initially asked by Solargain for me personally to measure space and see whether I can change electricity retailers in hope the next retailer had a smaller smart meter?!! The Solargain sales person then said if I didn't change retailer then the whole issue is on me!? The salesperson also used derogatory language to barrage the smart meter installer and also accused my energy retailer of not meeting their obligations. Sent me multiple emails of irrelevant electricity regulations which I consider spam. Eventually, Solargain asked my body corp for help and thankfully the Body Corp helped out so got the meter moved. But Solargain, you could've just done the meter move yourself as one of your staff suggested earlier on and not have me wait another month to get the issue dealt through Body Corporate. To say the switchboard is the Body Corp's responsibility is true but you were also responsible for not checking the board in the first place. I also highly suspect not checking the switchboard is a way for you guys to get more business - to get the necessary upgrades due to new regulations may put people off solar. And to add to what was already a bad situation, a Solargain manager said they didn't know about the meter spacing issue until I told them and not by my energy retailer or Energex and one of the reasons it took a while. Well, I happen to have a written report/statement from my energy retailer that Solargain was notified by my energy retailer/Energex. The smart meter was installed in the end. From start to finish, the issue took literally 4 months to resolve but thanks, we got there in the end. Solargain, you should consider what you lost for a saving of 1 hour's worth of work. As I mentioned, a family member just acquired a new house and is looking to install solar and is very unlikely we'll pick Solargain.
The knowledge displayed and advice provided by the salesperson during their home visit to provide a quote was first class. This was followed up by very professional and clean installers. The recommended system is performing better than anticipated, and communications with the office have always been fast and reliable.
Had a solar (PV) and hot water system (HWS) quoted. HWS installed in the centre of roof, not to original plan, meaning PV install would be ugly. Contacted solargain during install & discussed with HWS installers, evident that I was dealing with two separate businesses/branches that each wanted to pass the buck to the other. Poor lines of communication, multiple sales reps, too many dealings with different people from different departments. Once winter came around it was then evident that they hadnt even hooked up the solar hot water system so had to come back again. Customer is forced to sign completed works on the day, solargain then use this signature as a waiver for any works completed (or not) in the future. Contacted solargain throughout the process with concerns/queries, no solutions offered. Poor service for what’s a relatively expensive product.
Good service. Service/installation technicians were very helpful and very efficient in installing the unit. Installation technician explained a lot of things I didn’t understand and fully explained what they will do on the day. Customer service was good.
Installation of panels was on time and the installers were excellent. Since installation I have not had to pay any bills.
Newly installed, so far so good, but still needs time to give a final verdict
We have both hot water and solar energy systems installed through Solargain and are extremely happy with both systems. Service was excellent from the first enquiry call, through quotes and final installation. Our daughter has solar power thru them and recommended them when we were looking and can't thank her enough.
Everything went well with the ordering and installation and it's well on the way to paying for itself. (I estimate it will be 3 years to recover the full costs). My only small criticism is that setting up the remote monitoring via a hotspot is not straightforward and it would have been helpful to have had someone walk through this process and explain the capabilities of the monitoring software. Having said that, I would highly recommend this company and have had no issues with the solar operation or installation.
Pleased with technical advice on deciding the best system for our property, the pricing and the installation of the PV system went very well carried out by a team a excellent tradespeople. Federal subsidy included in quote all well and good but the state subsidy was a disaster as the state government closed application for the promised subsidy . My decision to go ahead with the Solargain offer was based on the state subsidy making the entire project affordable. Without this subsidy I am left feeling cheated finding affording the basics difficult.

Jun 28,2019We approached Solargain as being recommended by a friend. The sale person Tom Liston explained to us what products the company has and the number of panels we will need based by the size and the orientation of the house. Heather and Sofia from Head Offce send all the necessary documentations. Very professional team. We highly recommend Solargain.
