Over 40 years ago we added stairlifts to our range and since then we have helped over 700,000 people make more of their day. With options to buy or rent new or reconditioned stairlifts for straight or curved staircases we have a stairlift to suit everyone.

Nov 01,2024Have been trying since the beginning of July to have a stairlift removed from my auntie’s house as she has gone into a care home and her house is going up for sale. Numerous emails sent but always had a reply from different people so no thread. Could never get to speak to relevant person for area. Had eventually got a date for removal on Monday of this week only for it to be rearranged to the Thursday between 1pm and 3pm. Rang Stannah at 2.45 to ask where the engineer was. Engineer rang me back 45 minutes later to say he was going to be at least another hour and a half. He had been booked another job at the same time. This job was an installation which would be a paid job not removal which is free. Having taken the day off work, I unfortunately could not wait at my auntie’s house for the engineer to arrive and spend another hour doing the removal as I had to be somewhere that evening so the stair lift is still in situ. To say removals are advertised as approximately 3 weeks from applying this is ridiculous.

Nov 01,2024Stannah lift is fine but the installers weren’t the best. It was Friday so they turned up far too early whilst we were having a carpet fitted which was scheduled before the stairlift installation, the installers knew this but turned up too early anyway and blocked the driveway with 3 vans! They kept getting in the way of the carpet fitters and wouldn’t let them finish before trying to install the stairlift. It was very unprofessional, all because they wanted to finish early. We told them to wait for the carpet to be finished and they completely ignored us!

Oct 31,2024The engineer was most helpful in discussing the various warranty options and the costs of callouts etc. if no warranty was held. Although it is a lot of money for a 5 star warranty if only an annual service is needed but one never knows if other repairs may be needed during the year. So i have renewed the 5 star cover.
